The day was very warm. Autumn's cool breath had not yet touched the land which pleased the orange-haired Kitsu. He wasn't particularly partial to cold weather and snow, you see and was enjoying the warmth to its fullest. It was sometime in the afternoon. He'd easily lost track of the time. The creature was splayed out on a soft bed of pine needles at the moment. The trickle of the creeek leading from the waterfall of the mountainous area cast a pleasant gurgling sound as the water rushed past him to its destination. He was close enough so that he could stick his paw in.
His normally soft brown eyes were closed and he was resting his head on his crossed paws. A peaceful expression was on his face. Sunlight spilled across his robe-clad body, the scent of pine needles was everywhere. A typical day, really. Despite his relaxed pose the Kitsu was still fully alert, his acute hearing at its max in case anything ominous decided to come his way. He was not asleep despite looking like it. His three tails shifted idly behind him. His eyes opened revealing the gentle brown orbs that lay in wait underneath.
He picked his head up and let a yawn roll of his muzzle, a bored expression crossing his face. It had been a while since he has had anything fun to do. With little effort he picked himself off the ground, shaking off the needles that has insisted on clinging to his coat and pants. A breeze stirred through the forest causing the tattered end of the coat to sway gently over the beginning of his tails. Perhaps he would seek somewhere to train for a while. His pace was slow as he wandered to the creek's edge. He sat down when he had drawn close.
He proceeded to lean over the edge to peer into the cool water, watching the rushing water as if he'd been mesmorized. His reflection peered back at him, a scowl slowly crossing its features. He idly placed his left paw in the cool water and let the water rush by it. It was a lot colder then he thought it would be. A bird began to chirp in the distance. He removed his paw, giving it a few shakes and sighed, turning away and getting to his feet again. The weight of his sword pressed into his back but he hardly noticed it anymore. He began following the stream at a steady pace. Maybe he'd run into someone or something.

Shuuhei was wandering along the riverside in a comfortable silence. His gaze fixed upon the water which crashed lightly against the river bed rocks, creating a soothing background sound. Together, it blended with the light crunching of the leaves and the crisp autumn winds as well as the shrill but peaceful song of the song birds that resided in the tree tops. This along with the suns rays slipping through the leaves of the trees and spreading it’s warm heat over him had him enjoying his time in solitude, while admiring the bold colours of the leaves upon the outstretched limbs of the trees. Beautiful.
It made him forget that the chill of winter weather was fast approaching and that the white mess was on it's way. He did have to admit, however, that the mountains forests gave a breathtaking view before it was all swiped away and replaced by a thick blanket of snow.
He stopped now and then to pluck the stray orange coloured pine needle that found its way past his fur and began to poke relentlessly at his flesh, giving him enough discomfort to avert his eyes from the spectacular view of the fiery coloured forest and to seek out the pesky pine needle.
When he was finished with that, he was on his way again. He didn't expect there to be anyone along this particular trail. No, it was usually always empty. Of course, there were plenty of trails to begin with, it wasn't surprising that there'd be one or two trails that were hardly traveled. Just as well, it felt as though this part of the forest was untouched by his kin.
The silence didn't last all that long until he heard the faintest sound of leaves crunching up ahead, muffled by the many pine needles that lay scattered across the ground in harmonious blotches of orange and orangey-greens.
So there is someone venturing this trail today..? He thought as his lips curled into a slight smile of mixed feelings. He was both pleased that someone else was able to admire this particular piece landscape, and that he might be able to have a brief pleasant chat, and also slightly disappointed that his attention was probably about to be taken from the forest and averted to said kitsu.
He hesitantly took another step towards the direction of the muffled steps before he caught sight of the unmistakable bright orange dandelion hair of Kurosaki Ichigo. His lip twitched as he subdued a smile he felt creeping upon his face. At least it's someone I'm some what familiar with. If he could say that, he wasn't really sure what to make of this kitsu clad in black.
