Oh-mi-kaze xXEternal AerXx I am not saying this to disparage your actions in any way, but if that was the case, why would there be so many screw-ups that are admitted into the GGNG? Are you the only Mod to screen applicants, or are there others? There are other crewbies, yes, but I think I'm the only active one. xXEternal AerXx I am starting to lean towards Catch's point-of-view: Many applicants really don't seem to fully comprehend the ways of the GGNG, yet countless of those "tardboxes" are still being admitted. I cannot seem to find logic in that, if what you say is true.
Mayhaps they are out there to prove you wrong. If that is so, then I feel sorry for them for being so shallow. 3nodding To be honest with everyone, I have no idea how that one moron (with the "POWER-FLAMERS" post) got in, and I can tell you that my accept/deny ratio is usually 9:2 against acceptance. Other than that, I'll just be more vigilant. That makes me a VERY saaaaaad panda. Even AFTER a goodly chunk of them are being summarily denied, those final two are STILL cuntrags. crying

What do you think we are, grammar mall security? No. We're grammar nazis. And if you don't like explaining why you don't capitalize, why not just capitalize? It'll save you the trouble of explaining, and others the trouble of asking. wink

One cannot promote what they do not practice. Only lying politics can do that and lo! you are not a lying politic (well, as far as I can see gonk ).

xXEternal AerXx Well, I do not think I am "[nitpicking] the ******** out of every single goddamned word [he] says" since about half of his words aren't properly capitalized in the first place. It is pretty hard to NOT see that. As for the guild being rooted from jokes, get this: OUR INDIVIDUAL POLICIES FOR PROPER GRAMMAR ARE NOT. I did not join this guild as a joke and anyone who did can go fist themselves with the illiterate hands they use. A guild is made for people to exist under something common. If you want to literally be nazi-like, go for it in the forums, but doing it here just makes this place sour. Sure, we all do, or should, have some problem with people being as well as illiterate, but getting bent because someone isn't typing perfectly is stupid. If someone really has a genuine concern for each person's grammar, they might as well be constructive about it, instead of ripping people apart for not knowing any better. I really believe, and I'm sure if dj' were to come around he'd agree, that Grammar Nazi wasn't meant to be taken so literally.

Damn, I don't know what to say. It is so true though, what the seventh seal says. Trying to be grammatically correct in here really does make it a bitter environment. This thread made me think about how much I correct my friends for their bad grammar habits.
