Could care less about the bible, i dont get why a waste of trees is so important to people?
I'm not a Christian, and as much as I find fault in that religion, I've found the bible to be one of the most important research tools to me. Whether you're studying religion, or the history of that part of the world, the bible IS important.
Cross-referencing the bible with non-religious sources will give you a much clearer picture of what was going on at the time. It's better to know both sides of the story than just one side.
And if you want to study any religious texts from any religion, the bible is a good starting point to helping you understand dogmatic writings.
But even more interesting to me than the bible is the stuff they left out of it...
