our school newspaper must be ore hard core then.
My adviser was a professional for a while. So we do everything in a professional manner I guess. I really don't like when people use slang in an article, especially a lot of slang. We can only write articles that are approved by him. So sometimes it sucks and I have thrown way too many fits about the article i'm assigned. But we also don't get articles that we are attached to in anyway. A newspaper's main purpose is to educate the audience of what is going on, so you need to write from a perspective that is informative, and full of information. If you are emotionally attached, like you are with your article clue, you leave out a lot of the information needed in the article and you can make it confusing. Though it will make sense to you, it is not going to make sense to another person. So i added some notes like how you should talk about the show as a whole, actors, special effects, sound, and add in things like their awards, nominations, stuff that the show has won. PERSUADE your audience for why they should watch the show, don't tell them every little thing about the show. Give resources where they can get more information on the show, kryptonsite.com, cwtv.com, etc.
