The word "sushi" refers to the rice, not to the raw fish. Chicken sushi is still sushi, and so is vegetable sushi.

Isn't Sushi just anything made with the rice vinegared rice? When I search for how to make the rice itself I have to search for Sushi rice. Just clarifying a bit.

I love Sushi, but I definitely agree with the statement that it's an acquired taste. The first time I had it I disliked it, 2nd time it was ok, 3rd time I liked it, and the 4th time I devoured it in minutes. xd

For me, I seem to yearn for sushi one day, then eat a lot of it (like alot). After that I'll hate it for about a month before I yearn it again sometime after.

I can only eat sushi every now and then, because the flavors are so strong to me. I'm interested in trying some different kinds, like eel and squid though smile

Coda Highland The word "sushi" refers to the rice, not to the raw fish. Chicken sushi is still sushi, and so is vegetable sushi. Yeah, it's Sashimi when it's just the pieces of seafood.
