I can't really visualize the faces of any Twilight characters, unless there's an actor/actress associated with him/her. D:

suicidal_sal I don't know if this happens to anyone else, I think someone else before me kind of described it... But whenever I read... I become the protagonist whether that happens to be male or female. It's really hard to describe if you haven't experienced it before sweatdrop But it really helps to get a feel on the emotive language and visualization. razz Same here, so to answer the main question. Yes, I do see faces.

i didnt see a face in the beggining, like throught twilight, but then when i started searching for pictures on google that other people thought was Edward, i kinda started to use those. Especially after the cast list for the movie was released, cause now i use the actors! biggrin

schmut-lovee Okay, so I don't know if my mind is going crazy, so this is just to see if I'm the only one...
Well, when you imagine Edward, do you actually see a face? Like, me, I don't see a face, but I just know what Ms. Meyer describes, if you know what I mean. I see his hair, the shape of his head, but I can never seem to imagine his face. All I know is that it's incredibly beautiful.
But there's just one picture of Edward that I keep seeing in my mind when I think of him.. I see his hair and his head, but his face is like a shadow, it's like the sun is behind him, so the light doesn't shine on his face, so it's too dark to see his face. GRR, it's so hard to explain!
But, either way, all I'm trying to say is, do you actually SEE Edward's face when you imagine him?
Same goes with all the other characters.. Do you SEE their faces, or do you just THINK you can see it, based on Ms. Meyer's explanation? That is me exactly!! I can imagine them, but not their face. Yay! Someone else who sees it that way! I'm no crazy!

When i picture him its nothing like what her discription is, i base it off of how i can picture him in scenes of the book. My Edward has short dark brown hair, a square jaw, eyes close together, small eyebrows, tight small lips, full cheeks.....yes i am totally obsessed but when i read its like watching a movie in my head if that makes any sense so im just telling what i see

I don't see a face, I had no idea why until I was having a conversation with my friends about the actor chosen to play Edward in the movie... I said: There is no actor on earth who could be the "perfect Edward" even though I am ok with the choice because of the fact that I can't actually picture clearly what Edward looks like. My friend asked me why I couldn't visualize. My reply: Stephanie Meyer has created a beauty too other-worldly for my imagination to even begin to grasp the extent of it. I have never seen anything that could surmount to Edward's looks and so I cannot put a face to a description. So, when I picture Edward as I'm reading, it's almost as if I'm looking at someone with an extremely strong back light on them. I can see the eyes, mouth and hair color quite clearly, see the tone of the skin, but the face remains in obscurity and shadow. Edit about 5 minutes after I read the first post THOROUGHLY Quote: But there's just one picture of Edward that I keep seeing in my mind when I think of him.. I see his hair and his head, but his face is like a shadow, it's like the sun is behind him, so the light doesn't shine on his face, so it's too dark to see his face. GRR, it's so hard to explain! OMG SAME THING!!!^^^ That's just so weird, because I didn't read the post all the way through and then I wwrite the exact same thing!! I'm so happy someone else thinks the same way I do, all my friends think I'm weird.

I see his face, even before I knew Robert Pattinson was Edward. I just imagined an angel in my face, and he was it. I can't describe it...but the movie had made my visuals better.
