Love's Beauty
Your eyes are not the eyes of a faery They have not the cold beauty of a stone They command not the fires of raw passion in me But quiet, gentle love is in their gleam
Your frame is not the frame of a willow Slender and graceful as shadow's whisper But small, and real, and here beside me Your face near mine is no soon-forgotten dream
Your hair is not the hair of an elf maiden With every lock composed of shining gold It's tresses hang short, but light and free Their latered waves like ripples in a stream
Your hair is rich with scent so sweet The breeze is captured in it's brunette strands I hold your head softly in my hands As it falls around your lovely face
Your frame is alive and happy A glowing and joyful sight to see And happier, I will never be Than with you in this place
Your eyes are without compare The jade concealed withen their swirling Enchanting, mystic, is pure as can be And glimer with bright love, the treasure of our race
Love is your robe, love is my wings Love speeds me to your side Love is all that keeps me alive Till I can be with you again

I'm sorry book but I only have time to read one right now and I chose the last one you posted... I loved it the rhythm was a bit hard to catch it took me a couple reads, But overall I loved it, It's a very emotional poem and to be honest it reminds me of the first time I met my wife, We sat out on the balcony of her hotel room (she flew in for a week) and we laid together on the steps her head in my lap as I brushed the hair out of her face... I'm sorry I'm babbling, I just wanted to share that moment with you as it's what your poem brought me to, I thought you might appreciate it. In short Great work as always Keep it up man you have true talent And I love reading your poems I only wish I had more time...
oh and are you Also this Black Incense person? If not and if you want I'll Remove their post for you PM me as I'll prolly be busy for the next few days...
take it easy man, and remember stay above the water.

Have people told you your work is emo? LOL I laugh at them. Sometimes the best poetry is work that is dark, mysterious and yet holds so much emotion. I read "▪Desperate for your Love▪" and fell in love with it.

Life Beneath the Waves
The vast Sea. Cold, dark, deep, demure Pulling gently at the myriad of grains Grains of pale white sand upon the shore Pulled to the sea floor, where they remain
But what if a Wise One’s careful hand Inscribed on that shore the secrets of all time Though, regardless, shifting sand Washed away wisdom beneath the brine
And those are the secrets you need To go back, to reverse your tragic past So ride on the sea’s foamy steed To find wisdom’s grains at last
You’ll never find them, wherever you roam Gone are the words of Wisdom’s sage And as you look beneath the foam You waste your life beneath the waves
Life beneath waves of regret and loss Were better than facing your future No matter how high the cost So no future life did you ensure
Had you faced your problems, not running away My words would have little meaning here But you never sought Wisdom anyway You hid beneath water to disguise the tears
You wasted life, beneath the waves…

~The Shore and the Sea~
Silver stars hang in a velvet sky Waves cross the silver sands Crashing down upon the strand As I look on, and wonder why As I stand twixt the Shore and the Sea
The glimmering waves dance sweetly As the undines below entwine In seaweed green, beneath the brine Their voices calling plaintively As I stand twixt the Shore and the Sea
The waving branches of the trees The dryads singing ‘neath the sky The leaves above rustle and sigh And they lift their song beneath the leaves As I stand twixt the Shore and the Sea
The undines call out to me Of sadness, depth, and sorrow Of pain, but loving and living tomorrow Of looking past sadness, hopefully As I stand twixt the Shore and the Sea
The dryads sing of revelry, unrestrained Abd everything you ever wanted But revelry like this, empty, is faulted And it fades before ‘tis gained As I stand twixt the Shore and the Sea
The waters of hope beckon to me And I leave the sky behind I leave it’s fading life For the eternity awaiting me… And I walk from the Shore to the Sea

I really like your poetry Silver. Your a wonderful poet. I can't imigine the calibur of writer you'll be when you're older if you keep writing. I really liked 'Life Beneath the Waves' and 'Prison of My Crafting/Fortress of My Heart' reminds me of the movie The Wall by Pink Floyd. (not a happy movie btw)

She did, but, I like having it all in one place here, so I can look over it. But I'll double post them, because no one ever reads the long threads, only the new ones. lol
