The other offered a sheepish wince at the thought, knowing that yes, those pretty wings would likely snap like twigs should Fai be unfortunate enough to smash them into a few branches. "That, I'm sure, would be painful." Zetsumei chuckled despite himself, shaking his head sympathetically at the thought. "No matter--I'm sure you'll learn quickly." He'd have to! After all, he said he'd never learned to fly, correct? Questions were boiling quietly in the back of his mind, but Zetsumei resisted the temptation of asking: it wasn't his business, and surely the other would have spoken of it if it mattered?
Picky? The dark-haired kitsu tilted his head at that, quite frankly surprised. "Ohh, really? That's too bad. There's nothing you're quite in the mood for, then?" Why, he wouldn't have pegged Fai to be choosey about what he ate! But, to each their own--he couldn't just force the other to eat something! "Ohh no, no, I'm fine. I ate earlier, you see." He grinned lightly, tails flicking idly at the bandages on his feet. "But what about you? Shouldn't you go find something that better suits your tastes?" He was concerned, oh yes indeed. "Going hungry only damages your body, you know." He'd been lectured on it hundreds, if not thousands of times. Well, all right, his father and him probably hadn't even spoken thousands of times.

Oh no, Fai had no plans on snapping any wings soon. That would be too troublesome indeed. With arms stretched out and forward, Fai brought them up to rest casually behind his head. A cheery grin and nod was his answer to the matter of learning. "I sure do hope so! Time does seem to matter, no matter where you go."
Still sitting on the ground, Fai flicked his three tails calmly, one deciding to rest over his lap. That was the simplest way to say it-he was just a picky eater. But only due to being a victim of circumstance. Otherwise he'd be delighted to try any platter offered to him. So, he shook his head politely and gave a bashful grin. "Oh, I'm fairing just fine. When you live in cold territory, ya kinda learn to grow endurance from cravings." Yes, he could last just fine for maybe even a few more hours. Ears bobbed to Zetsumei's little advice. "Hyu, so I've heard. So I've heard." Sigh.

So he really didn't want to eat? "Cold weather, yes, that's true..." Zetsumei reasoned, nodding his head idly as he thought. So, Fai had learned to make use of his environment by forcing his body to adjust to less food in the area, or so he assumed...Well, that wasn't a bad idea, now was it? The mountains weren't too far from here--surely he could reach them and perhaps experiment with the cold himself! And that was when he remembered Buttercup. Ahh, yes...He'd lost her, hadn't he? It likely wouldn't be wise of him to not look for her, especially if she found him first.
"I must apologize Fai, but I just remembered there's someone I need to find." The ninja's son said apologetically, grinning slightly as he bobbed his head. "Unless I wish to suffer a fate worse than death, of course. It was a pleasure to meet you though! I'm sure we'll see each other again, hm? Take care of yourself!" With another crooked grin and a swish of his tails, the dark-haired male made to turn back around and trot back towards the forest he'd left not too long ago. Ah well, there was always time for more adventuring later!
