I've only pt'ed in dunes...

my worst pt was with two bards... why did we have two i have no clue & whats wrose was that no one but me had cure II but i was melee.. yeah well it caught up with us when the puller pulled a goblin & it arggo'd another one.. and we ALL died.

Valkurm and Quifim seem to have the worst parties imaginable. Here's my theory why they all tend to suck--

Valkurm:

You're getting a bunch of newbies who are unsophisticated in partying and have never played Final Fantasy and don't understand ways of the FF. They are excusable.

Quifim:

All of the idiots that didn't learn anything in Valkurm eventually DO get to level 20 and eventually DO get help to Jeuno. These people start parties and then either A) Manage them poorly or B) Switch the leader to someone else and then complain.

My PT was bloody excellent XD war...rdm....brd... nin...thf...whm
I was main tank as war~
We were simply raking the exp!

and then..... night fell......

Half way through a fight with a Pugil, who should approach us but a mean lookin' ghostie. Agroed straight to me like a fish through water. Well ~ as a tough nut tank I took both of their hits (mages working over time to keep me alive) and after fight mages cast last cure at me and headed for the hills (the zone line) and i stayed behind with my new bogy friend and was flat on my face in a few tics.
Thankfully a high lvl blm/whm turned up, destoryed bogy, saved the rest of the party, and raised me *^.^*
Party regrouped and I sat resting, waiting for weakness to go away. After a few minutes a new bogy spawned near to us. I looked at bogy. I looked at my party. I looked at my "weakness" status. I said "oh fuc-". Weakness wore off.
"Run!" they said.
I ran. I ran through qufim at night with 85hp trailled by a bogy. I was a total wight magnet. By the time I died I was being chased by a bogy and five wights. (Dear god ~ how did i make it that far?)
To make it worse, the mages had tried to cure me while I was running away and had gained some hate as a result. I was joined on the floor by our rdm T.T
The same blm/whm who had saved us last time came to our rescue again ~ fighting some of the wights while the remains of my pt ran like crazy to jeuno.
After that our pt was just not the same exp-generating machine that it had been before. I died *again* during a simple fight with a pug (dying 3 times in a row is no picnic -.-) and shortly after we decided that the best idea would to disband.

T.T Thus ended the best....and worst....party I had had in a long time.

Wow... that party sounds like a real piece o' s**t, Rikku.

Today--I NEVER found a party that was good enough.

First party--We got full, half the people disbanded. I waited for it to get full, more disbanding. So I just followed the trend and left.

Second party--Leader is a WHM with no armor save for a Robe. She dies in two hits from a Gob SHE aggroed since she was a Tarutaru. I left.

Third party--Kicked me because I was the lowest level, even after I told them I'd level in one battle.

Fourth party--A couple really good battles, then everyone got into a big argument about how bad DRG and NIN both sucked and that whoever wanted to be a DRG was a noob. The leader was quite offended, being a DRG herself. She kicked everyone out of the party and logged out.

Fifth party--Remember Ms. s**t-Defense Taru? She happens to be in this party with a bit of an armor improvement. "Great!" I say. First battle--she dies. I just save myself the agony and leave.

Sixth party--Three words that would never stop: "Be right back"

Seventh party--The best one. We fought one battle, I was the only survivor and got 200 exp. They were jealous when I told them how much EXP I got when they asked me and thus kicked me. At this point, I logged out.

What level were you? You have to be at least 16 or 20 or something around there to be able to handle him.

I was a newbie. I don't remember what level I was at that point. I'm thinking around 8, if that. whee

Worst party...hmm... I started partying in the Dunes. I've been with some pretty bad parties. Most of them were really bad. I can remeber one, the leader thought we could get away with having a smn/whm as a healer. I stuck around for one snip fight and then I was O.o bye.

Another bad party, we were on one of the beaches and the party next to us was being killed by a pugil thingy. I've partied with some of the people who were in it so I thought hey we should help them cuz we could take it easily. I run over start hitting the creature and provoke it off the guy who was being attacked. He died anyway. The party had been calling for help for like two minutes by now and I'm saying to my party help for like 30 seconds. They're just standing there laughing and making fun of the newb party who's dieing. Then they realize o, she only has 55hp left and she was trying to help them. So they start saying pulling it over here, when they were well in range of attacking it. The healer couldn't even heal me stare and so I died and left.

Hehe, I started this party with my friend Legalt in the Dunes yesterday, so then he was like hey, invite more people so we can kill better stuff. I invite a bunch of people because as luck would have it a whm was looking for a party. It's so hard to find whm. We were actually going pretty good, but after a few hours the whm had to go and there weren't any other whm people looking so I invited my other friend who's a smn. He never summons unless there's a problem he always just heals. So I figured hey he can be the healer even though I'm not very supportive of killing things with some thing other than a whm healing me. Ever one agrees to run over to the secret beach it takes us a while cuz we kept getting aggro off of the gobs and they'd link. Finally when we got over there two more people in the party had to. There was a whm and a drk who I got as replacements. The problem was now our party consisted of a Thf, whm, drk, smn, rng, and war. I was the only one who could provoke. whee What a bad move, but no one else said they had a problem with it. We kill about two pugs and then a bogy attacked me from I don't even know where. Legalt and die and everyone runs getting away with little itty bitty health left. It was sad. Some one else might have died. I don't know cuz I left once I got to my home point. I don't like fighting in the DUNEZ at night.

What I got from that was I suck as a pt leader cuz I'm a dumb newb and there should be two people in a party who can provoke. sweatdrop And stay away from the bogys that hit 99 a hit.
