Efren suddenly felt quite smug at her propostion. He had no remote control for the thing he was holding and it could not possibly move on its own. No. That wasn't at all possible. Efren had to believe that there was an explanation for everything. Even when it could be proved that there was not.
He set the orb down.
Shock made him feel weak. The stupid orb was now glowing. Glowing and humming. Like the other orb. Reacting to it. Efren didn't believe it. He didn't see it. It was impossible to see such a thing happen.
Impossible.

Bel slid over to the other orb, gently rubbing against it before rolling away humming louder. It was pleased.
"They are rather pretty when they glow. I think they can play, I'm not sure. Bel has never met a second orb and the knowlage I know came from a source." Sin riffled in her jacket, pulling out a butterscoot candy popping it in her mouth. "Who refused to meet in person."

Efren made a face at the orbs. They were both humming and he felt like kicking his. Why did the damned thing have to do anything? Have to react? Now he'd be stuck with a crazy woman after dark! Most definitely not the desired position to be in in life right now. Definitely not.
Had something happened to him? Had he taken some drug without his knowledge as of late? God. God. God. He hoped not. This was too strange. Much too strange. Efren didn't enjoy the unexplained.
"Yeah. Whatever. Since they're such great friends I'll just let you keep the one I had and walk away." He informed her dryly, backing up some.

A raspy laugh escaped. "It doesn't work that way. It choosed you...not me. You are that orbs caretaker. Not me. You can't push your responsiblities on someone else." Sin sucked on the butterscotch candy, relaxed.
"I'm sure it will follow you all the way home. Bel follows me like a dog." She raised a hand, beckoning. "Come, sit. I'll try to explain some things."
A short whistled called the orb to her. Picking up the smooth crystal, running her fingers across it in gentle motions before slipping the humming thing into a pocket.

"And you're absolutely ridiculous." Efren retorted in a slightly angry tone. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. He didn't really know how she'd managed to keep him against his will for about five minutes now.
"Oh yeah, I bet." Sarcasm.
He didn't know what the hell he was doing anymore. It was as if some mechanical force had taken over his body and now he went forth and sat. Maybe it was just the whole idea of doing something different that now appealed to his unconcious mind.
Curse it.

A knowing smirk cross her thin lips. "Sure I am. And you are intrested or else you wouldn't be sitting down." Her fingers tapped as she looked off in the distance trying to make some sense of it.
"Mine appeared in my room with a note on it. Goblin king, your this things caretaker. Take care of it, visits. " She rolled her eyes. "I thought it was a bunch of crap."
"My brother told my caretaker and he got connected to someone else who had one. It envolved into this cute little kid. Well..not kid persay. He doesn't have feet."

"You make no sense." Efren growled rather incompetently, now regretting that he had chosen to stay instead of leaving. Leaving quickly - as fast as he could manage and going far away from whoever this person was.
He didn't believe her. He didn't believe her with the proof before his very eyes. It wasn't likely he'd ever be convinced enough. He had never been skilled at believing the unfathomable in the first place.
He never would be.

"It's hard to explain. I think you will understand Efren given time." Sin slid off the sidewalk, creeking to her feet. He gave a vibe, that he needed time to adjust. To change. "A lot of time."
She glanced up at the sky. "It's dark. I should be going home now. Be careful Efren. Strange things go bump in the night."

He was confused. Very confused and very unknowing. "How do you know my name?" He demanded. He still didn't understand anything. He was still completely lost in everything.
She was still looney and the like to Efren, but the orbs were still horribly unexplained. If they were even things that could be explained in the first place. He gazed down at his orb in the fading light of day, watching it glowing and humming.
Her last words made him feel on end. He started walking. The orb followed. He stooped to pick it up, place it in his pocket. It was getting cold.
