This is a thread for remembrance of the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.
The Twin Towers in New York City collapsed at 9:59AM that morning, after two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, crashed into the towers.
At 9:37AM that morning, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C.
Then, at 10:03AM, United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after being hijacked. The passengers of the plane fought back, and crashed the United Airlines Flight 93 which was believed to possibly be heading toward the White House.
This is to Remember.

I remember sitting in class in 4th grade and watching them fall. D: None of us really knew what was going on. It was sad. :[

An old eskimo proverb. I think it is very fitting.
I know I am too late to commemorate the exact date, but it is a clear autumn sky in England tonight. I'll stand under those openings and remember those people who are gone, but never forgotten.

as a non-american i could care less.
though i do agree it was a waste of lives and stuff, it hasnt changed my way of living.

Look..I may despise the president and the fact our sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are dying over there at a war we don't belong in..But regardless, i have respect for those that died..They didn't do anything to deserve it, and they won't be forgotten even though i didn't know them=( Insane people are always sure that they are fine.

Thank you, PikaChelle, Leeny, and everyone else who replied to this thread.
I hate it when people think they know my feelings about the war, president, etc. because I'm a military wife. My feelings are complex, and many of them are negative.
But I do know how it feels to have a loved one at war because of September 11th. September 11th is a hard day for many people, but it's nice to see sweet little remembrances for the people who died that day and those who are still fighting and dying in memory of them.
