Nookie Monster
I saw your other thread and this one looks like the one I should be posting in...
I have a DS and am in college!! ZOMG!! Haha, anyway, I don't know how to give out my connection-thingy... I know DSes (DSs? Multiple DS?) have the Wi-Fi thing, but I'm a complete computer/technology retard. Love to play 'em, don't know how to make/fix 'em. So...
3nodding Helps?
Ok... I know how to do this.
3nodding Alright... if you have a DS game that has this on the cover:

which should be either above or below the words "Nintendo DS" that are on the cover... the game can go on Wi-Fi.
The next step would be figuring out how it can connect to the Wi-Fi Nintendo thingy whatever-it's-called. You have to first connect before you can have a friend code to post out.
Upon finding the option (which is in different places depending on game... like my Pokémon, it's through the center receptionists, Tetris it's through Multi Player, same with Clubhouse Games... Megaman Starforce is through the "Connect" menu. Final Fantasy III is through a moogle when you find them...
gonk ), you choose to connect, and it could be to play or just to get your code real quick.
As for
where you could connect, mostly any Wi-Fi spot is ok. A wireless modem would work at home, cafes here where I live have Wi-Fi... two I think wouldn't work though for security reasons. (Darn people...)
One other option that completely failed on me is to buy the USB dongle that is
only for the DS... it plugs into the USB of a computer and acts like a modem for the purpose of connecting.
Once you
have connected, you will see one of those icons of an antenna with bars after it stating connection strength... and... it should tell you if it's your first time connecting with that game that you were assigned a friend code.
This part gets confusing because the games have an odd way of organizing the menus... to find your friend code you have to go into the Wi-Fi menu usually and then go to something concerning your friends or codes or something...
In there should be options of "add" or "confirm". Under confirm is your friend code, and it's a twelve digit number that you send to someone else
with that same game and they add it.
I say same game because all the games, when linked to your DS, produce a unique code for that game and DS pair. If you try using the Wi-Fi on another DS it will complain that this game doesn't match... and might prompt you to reset the settings for the friend code. I haven't tried taking a game and doing this twice, second time returning to original DS, to see if it makes the same code.
Um... I hope this all helps.
