It's actually true, there are some remnant from the Mithras cult in a building in Rome that's now a chapel. The only reason that people chose the Christian cult was because it was in favour of a broader audience, the Mithras cult was only for men.

Did you know that the god Mithras was called the Son of God and Light of the World? xd Christianity absorbed quite a lot from its predecessors.

I am Presbyterian. I like denominations for the most part, but I think there's way too many.
We need denominations because Catholic and Protestant are different. In truth every church is different and in a way a different denomination.
