I have fansubs of unlicensed anime but no dramas or soaps. Bittorrent is a good way to get all kinds of Japanese shows for free rather than buying a Japanese package. I've changed my mind.

I agree with Ketchup22. I use a bit torrent client to get all my japanese shows and it doesnt affect my normal strong anti piracy feelings as it was free to air tv that has been fansubbed and isnt available outside of Japan. And through becoming popular in Fansubs can quite often establish a market for the product (Naruto and Dragonball are great examples of this).

i have Rogers Cable. (a box with millions of channels)
or you can get those satalight dish you know you put it somewhere on your house. that can get you differnt languages channels 3nodding and a lot

I have this site,where you can watch tv all over the world.But i have no idea if its legal or not.
www.mediahopper.com
First you click the country of the langue then you will see on the left a list with all countrys then search for japan they have like 22 channels.
I hope it's legal and you get what you want.

You could order TV JAPAN for cable. It's a channel completly dedicated to Japanese films, game shows, dramas, newscasts, music shows, cartoons etc. I saw a commercial for it on AZNTV (formally known as the International Channel).

Can we get that on satellite?

You can watch a lot of Japanese television shows and commercials on www.youtube.com. I've been watching the drama Gokusen!
