(may i try and revive this thread?)

name: Mikka
race: human
height: 4’9”
hair: orange, shoulder length with side-bangs
weight: 75
build: slim and slender
eyes: deep chestnut brown
age: 13
sex: female
personality: rebellious, curious
weaknesses: clumsy, speaks without thinking, short tempered
history: father died in war, lives with manic depressive mother, and grandparents. Younger brother, Choukichi (age 5) and older sister, Hatsu (17) and twin sister, Akari. lives in a small town in a small house.

Mikka speaks her mind and doesn’t seem to care about what other people think about about her, but deep down she hurts. she is depressed and hides her feelings behind rage and rebellious acts. Mikka constantly wishes that other people could know how she feels so they can help. she spends most of her time alone and doesn’t have many friends. She doesn’t get along well with other people even when she tries. Mikka feels the need to keep up her reputation as the tough girl no matter what, she must not show others her weakness for that will cause her downfall. Mikka is also very curious, sometimes more than she should be, she gets in trouble a lot for her curiosity
appearance!

Curiosity killed the cat you know...
The basics look good to me, though something seems a little odd about her being short tempered and rebellious as well as clumsy and curious. Depending upon how you actually played this character, those traits might be a bit too much of a contrition. But on the other hand, you could get it to work.

By the way, she feels the need to hide any weakness, yet a lot of people would consider being clumsy a weakness, unless it just happens to be her strength as well. Kinda like the clumsy person in a fight, just ends up tripping the whole time and eventually knocks out everyone around him by accident and remains unscathed. Then she could always pretend she meant to do that as a master fighter or something. Still seems a little far stretched to me, but possible.

Well, without even getting to his history, I already see one thing that can be very unbalancing, immunities.

Quote:
Abilities: Can alter own gravitational pull, abnormal agility and , “Avianthrope” form, blood is 30% mercury (immunity to vamperism, true werewolf...ism?, etc), immunity to electric shock

I can see not being affected by a vampire or werewolf turning you seen as your blood and body are unusual, but a vampire could still drink your blood (though it would have to taste very bad) and a werewolf should still be able to hurt you. Also, if your blood is 30% mercury, your a walking toxic hazard. How does your human half live? Also, how does this mercury tie in with your dark elf heritage? All I can see is you character dieing upon birth or whenever this mercury was introduced into their system. No offence there.

Then I take a look at your powers. Some of them I can understand, extra agility and dexterity and a birdlike form. Alright, understandable. What do you mean by 'Can alter own gravitational pull'? Can you make yourself float? Wait, you can already fly with your wings in bird form, so why do you have that power? How does it work?

Then I see another thing your immune too, electric shocks. If this is because of your mercury filled veins, then you should have electric attacks as a weakness, for you are more of a conductor than a non-conductor. Mercury is still metal, and you do have the other 70% of your normal blood to consider, as well as your normal flesh. Electricity passing through you and grounding out would still hurt. Might not kill you if you can explain it well enough, but it would certainly not be pleasant.
Reminds me of one of my characters. he is immune to cold. He still feels it, but cold itself can't kill him. Exposure can though, as in dehydrating him and other blistering affect. He just couldn't freeze or get frostbite. Oh, he wasn't immune to ice, just the effect of cold. Basically, you could shove him into a freezer and live, but he would be shivering from the cold and be rather upset with you for it.

His history and bio sound well thought out and connected, though I don't know if it matches the role play that character is in. Sounds almost like a backwards Blood+ (an anime series worth looking into if for nothing else than character development and growth).

As a definitive side note, I do like some of your fears and weaknesses, like being afraid of Mannequins, puppets and wax houses. His gullibility can work for the character's favor as if played right can be a great aid for any role play's story. The leader of that role play could use your character in an interested fashion (If this character is already in a role play, I would PM the creator or leader of that role play to see how your gullibility could be used in interesting ways. Maybe some evil force has convinced you that killing a few people helped the world for the better good... oh the possibilities).

I would probably try to touch base more on WHY your character fears things that look human but aren't, like the puppets and wax figures. Do they just creep him out, or does he run away in absolute terror? Does he lash out and attack what he fears? Does he try to face it? Does he run away from what he fears?
It sounds like your character would have more of a mental weakness to work through, but it will only take place if the story ever touches on puppets and wax museums. If they don't go there, your character's weaknesses don't out way the strengths. If they do, your character can have a ton of room to grow and expand.

So far, the biggest problem I see would still have to be those immunities, and how they are. As I said before, if the vampirism thing is just they can't turn you, fine there. If they can't suck your blood and weaken you (at great distaste to themselves) might be a little over done there.
I would still turn your immunity to electricity to a weakness, for I feel as though your character would attract more electricity to himself, though he has to be grounded to be affect by it. (as in if your flying, your fine. As long as your not touching the ground your fairly well set.)

taken note, Ill get right on it!

Just to make note, these are all just suggestions. Take what you can from them and discard the rest (like if you really wanted to be immune to electricity, despite what I say, well, nothing is really stopping you). Just always be ready to try and explain why your character is how he is. If you can't explain something and it just is, might want to find a way to explain it. Some things you might get away with as it just is, other things might need to be explained.
I always suggest being able to explain or describe anything that might be asked about your character. Makes your life so much easier when someone accuses you of having a god-modded character (a character so strong not even superman could kill him... maybe a bad analogy, but you get the hint).

Actually, I took all of it as really good advice. so now I think this should look a little better:

Name: Kije Nólatári Renard

Born: 1-4-1990

Race:Hybrid (Human, Dark Elf)

Gender: M

Abilities: Double jump, can shift direction in mid air, abnormal agility and , “Avianthrope” form, blood is 30% mercury giving immunity to vamperism and true werewolf...ism?

Weaknesses:Sulfur, Obsidian, Electric shock, can be gullible at times.

Fears:Mannequins, puppets, wax houses (to make a story short, he was traumatized from a 2nd grade field trip).

Hates: math homework, cold weather.

Weapons:
Mateba .44-Remington Magnum Model 6 Custom “Silber Schleuder
me'urra korko Short sword

Appearance:
User Image<->User Image<->User Image

Character: A true Neutral Good character, he was considered to be a bit of a jokester with little respect for authority growing up. He managed to live a 'normal' life by covering his ears and lying he wore yellow eye contacts. Although people find it strange, he likes to see himself as “the main character of the story”. Often, people would call him arrogant, rude to his superiors, and the classical villain’s favorite the “insolent fool”. More often others see him as one of the most optimistic, kind hearted, faithful friends you could have. The type to “bend over backwards to help a stranger” simply because "it’s the right thing to do.” Unfortunately one of his faults is seeing good in everyone and can sometimes be too gullible for his own good. Although he isn’t the type to bow to a king, he still cares about people in general.

Bio: Having never known his parents, he lived on his own since childhood with financial support from an inexplicable biomechatronics and medical research company named Izngran Medical, whom apparently have ties with both his parents. Up until age 17, he continued to live an as average life as he could have despite his odd appearance. However, during the last 2 months of his senior year, he was quickly plummeted into misfortunate events that lead to discovering many things kept secret such as who his parents were and what he is. He is the son of a lineage of gifted silver haired vampire hunters with immunities to vampiric infections and the ability to increase their strength and agility at will and a once large clan of shape shifting Dark elves. Now he travels with others with unusual abilities all for reasons of their own. His specifically is to find answers who or what caused his parents disappearance and why a medical company that he has no knowledge of seems to support him so zealously in everything he does.

Full Name: Czar Inorokashi Kaze
Nickname: Czar
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: December, 28 1991
Age: 17
Appearance: User Image
Personality:He's outgoing, friendly, can be sarcastic sometimes, he has a desire to take on an adventure someday. He can be cruel sometimes, but he'll protect anyone.
Likes: Tempura Shrimp, Video Games, Yo-Yo, Sword play, Music, Japanese Foods, Friends
Dislikes:Mexican Food (after an incident that almost ruined his first day in high school which I'll never tell...) Evil People, snobby people,
Current Hometown: Shibuya, Tokyo
History:In a hospital in Osaka, Japan Czar Inorokashi Kaze was welcomed into the world by his ever-loving parents; who were both scientists and inventors at that time. For them, It was the happiest moment of their life, because they knew that they had a special child in their hands. For the next Six years, Czar learned how to walk and run properly, learned proper manners, know how to speak, and fluently at that, and finally, learned how to skate board.

During the age of seven Czar found his first hobby; the proper use of a yo-yo. From there on out he practiced the ways of the yo-yo; learning tricks one at a time. Soon enough he mastered the art of the yo-yo two years later, that's when he found out of his second hobby. Czar was walking around his school when he found a soccer ball. Knowing he had to wait for his absent-minded father he played around the soccer ball; kicking around the ball and trying to keep it in the air. When he heard his father coming out of the street Czar grabbed the soccer ball as he ran towards his father's Car. After a year with a few games played with his friends he embraced the sport that is soccer and became a pro (In his elementary school anyway) Despite his love for soccer and yo-yo tricks he's an B student who tries to do his best sometimes. At his last day of elementary school, Just when the bell was going to ring...

A Mystery assailant began to invade the sleepy town that is Osaka. Czar tried his best to swerve through the mob of children running for their dear lives back to his parents. Looking behind him Czar just saw his friends being taken away in a green light. Looking up in the sky, Czar saw something that he didn't believe, a mysterious U.F.O; capturing innocent children and teachers. Once he found his parents they immediately got in the car and drove off to the closest evacuation point. Once they arrived they were shocked at the fact that they can only fit one more passenger in the helicopter. Czar; Looking at his parents crying his parents grabbed him and set him in the helicopter; giving him only a parcel and an address of his Sister's home. Once the door closed Czar cried out for his parents as he saw them crying and looking back at the destruction. Then as soon as the pilot began to ascend he saw less of his parents until the the smoke of the destruction completely blocked his vision...

...Czar never saw his parents after that incident. He still wonders about the mysterious assailants

When he arrived at his sister's home he was immediately treated with a hug. when he felt the warmness of her he hugged back. Soon he told Rita; her sister of what happened back at Osaka, As he mentioned the parcel Czar set the box on the table as he and his sister opened the box. All that was inside was two different colored Yo-yos, a blue button, glasses with no frame at the bottom, different shoes, and a note. When Rita began to read the note out loud he knew that the items he received were the things he knew and loved as a kid. At the last line of the Note; Rita and Czar hugged each other once more as they cried for their parents.

For what they assumed, their parents are deceased...

For the next four years, Czar lived his new life at Shibuya, Tokyo; making new friends, trying out new trends, and sharpening up on his soccer, and Yo-yo skills. For him, life continued on. Although he was curious about his sister and her whereabouts. So one day on a week end. Czar spied on her and the many different activities she accomplished. Just as soon as he gives up from boredom he saw Rita ascending up the stairs and to an old shrine. Knowing that this could be his big break at finding out more about her sister he immediately give chase; not knowing that what lies beyond that shrine lies a world filled with adventure...

Weapons: Czar has no weapons at first. But when he turns fifteen he began to use his Yo-yos as weapons. Then at the age of sixteen, he learned the proper way of wielding a sword from his sister.

Love interest: Czar has yet to find a love interest.

Other info: Despite Czar being an ordinary human with no special powers whatsoever. His true strength comes from the many gadgets his parents gave to him.

Shoes:Raises his Kicking powers to Super human levels. Used for kicking objects at bad guys. It also raises his Jumping ability as well as breaking objects using his feet.

Blue Button: Transforms into a hover board that can immediately change into a skate board. Powered with solar energy, his hover board can reach 60-70 MPH maximum. It's also equipped with a special shield that although protects the user on the board, it drains the solar battery when used in night time riding.

Two Yo-yos: Custom-made with technology and crafted by artisans of old. the Yo-yos can charge up when it sleeps, and when he does tricks. Attacks form from the energy stored in

Glasses: his Glasses doesn't improve his eye sight. But what it does is give him a radar, A GPS, and a Voice system that links to his equipment.

Tell me what you think...

@blue-alien:

Your history is well thought of, and I like how some things work within your character.

However, before I could say too much, I would have to ask what role play you are going into. This character seems set up for a certain story, and you want to make sure your character matches the role play story you are setting him into.

Some of your history, though it is indepth and very well thought of, in a writing sense should probable need to be revised. It's good. Very good. but hard to follow in a few points. (The second with his sister? Do you mean his aunt maybe? not unless his sister is a lot older than him... Giving her a name would help clearify that section of your history.)

I would also (if I was to accept this character into a role play) want to know what kind of attacks are you talking about with the Yoyos? Does the color of the yoyo affect the attack type? How many attacks does he get before it runs out of power (if it even does)? Is it an energy attack, or a physical attack?

And instead of giving him shoes that increase his kicks, I would have it increase the accuracy (when used in conjuntion with the glasses) to high levels. I can just see this maybe getting used incorrectly, as in you kick a villain into the ceiling, instead of kicking an object at the villain...

I also would have liked to see more personality. Maybe show something within his history that shows more personality? As I read the history, I don't see your character, just more so a run down of events. I don't know how that could be fixed, but reading this I can't get any feel for your character. I can relate to him but if I was to, say as the leader of the role play and I had to, take control of your character for a while (maybe you went on vacation and I needed to move your character or something?), I don't think I could with what is here. (But then I would have seen how you used the character, which would help me anyway.)

This might be a character that needs to be played before anything more can be said. I know several of my characters I didn't know myself till I started to play them.

@Tesunie

Thanks for the input, and you're right, he should be played a little more. Maybe change around his history an such.

But for starters here's a list of things I'll revise later on.

Shoes,
History,
Gadgetry and how it works,

But for now I Should go under detail of Gadgetry

For the Yo-yos, The Power stored in is an energy attack and he can manipulate that energy and use it in a series of attacks whenever he does Tricks. The Glow also Represents the Power's element stored inside, but then again his Yo-yos are Custom made, so they act differently from others. The power runs out eventually but it doesn't mean he can't still use it as a weapon.

The Shoes, I should of mentioned that the shoes will only work on non-organic matter, mostly because he wouldn't Use the shoes on a human being because he knew of the destructive power the shoes have.

(Will continue this later.)
