Alright! I'm back and posting topic number three!

So, here's the dealio. My boyfriend and I have been very sexually active for over a year.

In the beginning, we would always use condoms, but we only used them three times, because his mom caught us and we were like banished from seeing each other or some crap. (I know, not very slick. X_x wink

After we were allowed to see each other, I began using birth control (orthro evra) and this was in August of last year. Since then we had been having raw sex until last month, (August) because I had decided to stop using it. I had realized that Orthro evra was making my skin oily and was giving me pimples! (Yes, I went to a doctor for this)

So, now. We don't have sex as often because neither of us like condoms. He says that he doesn't feel anything.

And as for me.. They seem to hurt me. Like at first, everything is fine. I am wet enough, and just in case, I put lubricant on too.. But then later, it starts hurting. I can't explain it. It just really hurts. We've tried two times since, and every time it's the same thing. It still hurts, and it's really taking all of the pleasure of sex away from me.

Using condoms didn't hurt before, so why is it hurting me now?

Has this happened to you? What did you do to fix it?

It could be an allergic reaction you are experiencing to the latex - it's not as uncommon as you think.
And no, you do not have to be allergic to it 'back then' to be now.
Latex is a funny substance, as the more contact you have with it, the more likely your body will begin to reject it.

There are non latex condoms, but they tend to run a bit more expensive,
The 'natural' condoms have microscopic holes in them which could allow for some sperm to pass through.

I suggest going back on the pill, but a different one.
You have to shop around to find the pill that works with you best.
Each one uses a different chemical make up of either real or synthetic hormones.

Have you thought about trying the Nuva Ring?
Since the medication is directly absorbed into the vaginal membranes and it not through the whole body
like regular BC, there is a far less of a chance that you'll have bad side effects from it like oily skin.

It might be the time of month. I find sometimes that during parts of my cycle I get sore fast during intercourse.

I am allergic to Latex; but I thought that it wouldn't effect ermm; "down there" LMFAO.
Oh boy is was horrible it turned all dry and scabby.
Now I'm just on BC and we don't use condoms.
We tried using the non-latex ones but they make crinkly sounds and feel like saran wrap.
Maybe use more lube because condoms tend to dry out.

Wow, I didn't know I could get allergic like that. :/ Sheep skin is like super expensive though, and I'm actually going to the clinic tomorrow to try out a different type of birth control.

What you said about the nueva ring sounds pretty good though. I might try it out. Thanks.

No, I actually don't think it has anything to do with my period. I used to do it all the time with condoms, even on my period and it never hurt up until recently. Thanks anyways.

Dry, and.. scabby? That never happened to me. It's just all sore afterwards. ;_; I hope I never get that way.

I'll try the lube thing as well.

Thanks all. If anyone else has ideas, please let me know.

Well when my boyfriend and I first started having sex, and used condoms it was fine.
But recently, the condoms started stinging me down there, that it just wasn't as pleasurable for me. I don't think I'm allergic to latex. I'm pretty sure I'm not.
But yea, I would try a different type of birth control.

Sometimes, if you use condoms with spermicide on them, this will happen if your skin/body is sensitive.
happened to my sister, even though I really didn't want her to tell me.

My girlfriend is allergic to latex. it's a quite common allergy. Many people are only bothered by it when its touching more sensative ares, like the inside of the mouth or v****a, but can blow up a balloon or wear gloves for a short period.

My girlfriends on the pill, so we choose not to use any other means of protection. But that is an adult choice we made, meaning we know the risk and accept any outcome that could possibly arise from our choice. Such as "scares" and her ending up having a miscarriage, when we didn't even know she was pregnant.

My point is try other means of BC. The pill, patch, ring. Get feminine contraceptives, such as damns, wall or other things like that. Use non-latex condoms, as long as they are reliable. Get spermicide for extra protection, but be careful, it might be the spermicide in the condom that is what you are allergic to.

Also Yu is right, the v****a becomes a lot more sensitive to many woman as they are just before, during and after that part of their monthly cycle.
