Crew has an idea for what to do about the public v. private crew thing. We're still discussing it, but you'll know soon enough, before we take action on it we'll see what you think.
The reason no one was consulted about the mass ban before hand was because that would take away the shock value. I dont know if thats the right phrase, but whatever >.> If you had known about it you would be prepared for it and be ready and stuff. You could have arranged different guilds to hang out in, guilds that everyone knew about. I know there are some guilds now people are hanging out in. But you could have chosen one guild and told everyone to go there before the ban happened. And then the mass ban would be like a field trip to a new guild instead of an action against harassers. And then it would have been completely pointless.
Usually the guild wouldnt do this stuff without consulting you all first. We never have before. On guild wide matters we always want to hear what you all have to say. This one time though, hearing what you would have to say would have completely ruined the plan and so we couldnt.

I still don't think this would be effective at all. I mean sure it will stop the harassment in the guild for AT least this weekend. But closing a guild doesn't stop harassment in PMs. It just seems like you gave the harassers a vacation.

At that point - and I know you know this - it's the people who were PM'ed's fault for not contacting an actual gaian moderator.

At that point - and I know you know this - it's the people who were PM'ed's fault for not contacting an actual gaian moderator. Most of the harassment and wrongdoing is through PM's or account related means, not in the SG itself. Even though it's ABOUT the SG, if it's outside the guild then it's the site's mods/admins domain and THEY should be asked to help. Closing the guild is still a stupid idea, as said before, guilty until proven innocent.....

A Dictatorship would be SOOO boring. ACTUALLY, a dictatorship that's CALLED a dictatorship would be boring, if it's a dictatorship called a democracy then I'd be fine. UNLESS things get a little to hectic, if I see Nymphie banning people because they don't like her, THEN I'd be all *goes ape s**t*That's what we have right now, and everyone's bitching about it not being fair. Remember? :/
I did read Nymphie's posts. And yours, too. I wasn't complaining about the Crew knewing the roles: I was saying that things like that would be better handled in a PM, not a potentially unsafe forum. More on that in the Guild.
