"He does," she said fondly, thinking of the gray lion. "And yes, it is. Everyone needs someone to depend on..."
Kiji gazed at Uhaya, brown eyes soft. "Maybe you should take some time for yourself. It would be good for you to relax and clear your mind... hard as that may be," she added with a small smile. "I'll be around if you need me."
She rose to her paws, preparing to leave.

Uhayawani nodded, seemingly taking her mother's words to heart. When Kijivu got up to leave, she moved forward to nuzzle into her. Her body ached for more, but she could only manage a breif nuzzle before stepping back again. It would take time for things to get completely better.
"I'll explain everything to Vitu, and then I think you should meet him." Uhayawani worried greatly about how Vitu would handle all of this, but he had as much right to know as she did. With a heavy sigh, she looked over her mother. "I really wish things could've been different." Saying that, she moved to leave as well.
