Quote: Nah. They can raise all they want, but the free-market capitalist nature of the marketplace will kick their miserly asses for trying You are just trying to hide the fail that it's your stupid new market Oh yeah of course there's no inflation, the prices are lower and all! The new market rocks!

Personally I think this inflation thing is entirely bull. I mean, in theory, it would work wonderfully, but the -way- that Gaia moderators are taking our money pisses me off.
The staff should have made a DIFFERENT sinkhole, one which doesn't affect vendors and specifically vendors alone. What I mean by this is that they should've found other ways of removing gold from the economy, such as making items which entirely dissappear after a while and you have to re-purchase to wear, or something like that.
However, the 2% tax focuses SPECIFICALLY on us, the sellers of the marketplace. This makes us, the sellers, want to sell for higher. With every thing we buy, we want to sell for higher.
Sure, buy and demand is something to take into consideration. If you over list your item and other buyers don't take it, you may have to lower your prices. But the thing is, EVERYONE who sells and buys now marks their prices up 2% or more to gain profits.
THIS OBVIOUSLY ACCELERATES THE ARTIFICIAL INFLATION OF MONTHLY COLLECTIBLES.
Despite the allegedly higher value of the gold coin of Gaia, this 2% inflation has forced buyers to increase their margin of profit to even cut even. And, to add injury to insult, I can actively LOOSE money on the marketplace without even listing my items under price. It's ridiculous.
They should take the focus away from us vendors and find a better sink hole to put gold into. That, or they should stop giving so much gold in the first place.
