Are you kidding? Why in the wizarding world would a Slytherin befriend a Hufflepuff? Slytherin takes pride in being a pure-blood House. Why would they even consider it? Slytherin doesn't need to befriend any of the other Houses. I think if you have a Slytherin heart but maybe some muddy blood you end up in Ravenclaw, some tend to look up to Slytherins.

There is no way they get along better...I mean all the misfits and people that couldn't fit in, in other houses go in there. So I doubt that the Slytherins would ever associate with them if they didn't absolutly have to. I mean think of it in terms of real life, do the "Bad boys" you know the ones in shop class, ect...Associate with the Nerds? No! Well there you have it.

I honestly think that the whole Slytherin doesn't like any one thing, might just be a stereotype. I think that mabe we have just gotten a bad impression. Think about it. Everyone that has been introduced to us from Slytherin, (Malfoey, Crabe, Goyle, Pansy Parkinson) I mean, Gryfindor had a sour apple or two (Pettigrew) so mabe it was just all the characters we were introduced to. I mean there probably are some good Slytherin, we just never read about them.

Like everyone else, I think that Slytherin is its own house and so, most Slytherins only associate with other Slytherins. However, if need be, Slytherins would probably get along pretty decently with Hufflepuffs. By that, I mean that Slytherins will probably take advantage and manipulate the Hufflepuffs to their will.

I don't think so. Speaking from a Slytherin point of view (since that is what I'm more used to), in my experience, they like Hufflepuffs less. And I can think of at least one instance of a Slytherin saying they disliked Hufflepuffs more than Grffyndors.
I'm usually Slytherin, and I squirmed in discomfort when I was sorted into Hufflepuff. XP I usually only get on with other Slytherins and Ravenclaws.

I tend to think that while a Hufflepuff would be willing to attempt to befriend most anyone, Slytherins would, for lack of a better phrase coming to mind, turn their noses up at a befriending a Hufflepuff.
I don't mean to say that all Slytherins are snotty, as I'm sure most are decidedly not. However, from personal past experience, I have seen how someone who associates themselves as a Slytherin reacts when I say I associate myself mostly to being a Hufflepuff.

Well, in the books I'd never picture a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin being friends. However, I, as a Hufflepuff in this Guild, would not mind befriending one here as they seem nice. The only difference is that they put themselves above others; they're more independent so to speak. Anyone who doesn't believe me, can speak to the Slytherin Prefect; she's really kind. smile

I would probably think that Slytherin would get a long better with Hufflepuff that Ravenclaw. We all know that Slytherin and Gryffindor really get along at all but I think that SLythering would be much better off by themselves.

I'd have to disagree. I think Ravenclaw would probably be the only house that Slytherins wouldn't instantly turn their noses up at, because it's pretty much full of brainiacs, and the Slytherins can respect that. And use it to their advantage.

I believe that Ravenclaw gets along with Slytherin more than Hufflepuff. They just seem like the two houses that'll get along. Slytherin obviously dispise the Gryffindors and I'm not so sure about Hufflepuff. But personally, to me, Hufflepuff is the worst house out of the four. I wouldn't want to be in that house.
P.S. I'm a Slytherin. O.o

phreise I see Slytherin as the house that kind of sides alone. I kind of think they'd just take allies as need be, provided they weren't from gryffindor (usually). I'd think Ravenclaw and Huffelpuff would get alone better than Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, even though the Ravenclaws seem to be the accepting of most others and Gryffindor seems to be the least accepting (and prideful/arrogant) group. They match Slytherin in that, but they're most boastful and Slytherins are more of the sneaky, ally, use that pride and power to secure things and not boast too much. Heh. Ravenclaws are more neutral, Slytherin and Gryffindor butt heads, Huffelpuff is understanding, but Slytherin would probably scorn most of the other houses unless they had a reason not to. Ravenclaw and Huffelpuff are the humbler houses, I think. Not all Slytherins are the same, you know. Some are like Draco Malfoy, and others are completely different. Slytherin and Gryffindors are rivals, and Harry is a Gryffindor, thus you see them from the point of view that is 'Slytherins are evil'. I think if you read the book from Draco's point of view opinions would be very different about all of the houses.
