Remus arched a brow while his mate coughed over her laughter. "Yes... I know of Xigbar, though I've not had the pleasure of meeting him yet. He is the mate of Nari's sister. Therefore, we are kin as far as I am concerned."
He eyed this other Organization member, a look that seemed to say 'and that holds for you as well, like or not'. "I'll speak with Xigbar of it later, for it is not pressing to me at this moment with everything else to fully understand what was before for you. That can come in time. Important now, is the present. And the future." At least Saix was willing to attempt for friendship. Remus took this as a promising sign. His soft sad gaze swept to his daughter. "Ayako... Saix is correct about the place. What would you like?"

Ayako remained silent, swishing her tails slowly. Turquoise eyes settled on Saix for a while and she felt a little gratified. At least he would try. Some effort was better than none, right?
"I'm not sure where." The kitsu replied, eyes flickering about the room. It was natural for her to be nervous about this; it was her first pregnancy after all. Then she hesitated."If it's not too much trouble, maybe here?" She usually stayed in the library anyway, and it had plenty of books she could read in peace.

"Oh?" He rose his own brow when the other Kitsusagi mentioned that he knew Xigbar. Then, he frowned, nodding. "Ah, part of your family now then, hn?" He paused thoughtfully, and gave a shake of his head. What a coincidence...
Seeing the look, his frown deepened. In that case, weren't he and Xigbar now family in a way as well. The thought made him grimace, but he said nothing. Instead, he merely nodded at Lupin's words, before turning to look at Ayako again.
"Here is certainly a nice place. It's quiet enough, certainly, and you mentioned you was relaxed in here." Then, he hesitated. "How long until the eggs...?"

He shared a smile with his mate. "Of course you are welcome to have them here, daughter. I had hoped you might, but did not want to presume."
Remus turned to Saix. "You to are welcome here, son." Yes that he would be whether the two ever officially became mates or not, whether Saix could ever feel anything for Ayako or not. "As long as you have no intent to harm anyone sheltered under this roof you will be able to come and go at your leisure."
Ayako's father looked to Nari at the question of how long but the auburn haired beauty shook her head. "It's hard to say. Neither of my pregnancies were the same length."

Ayako gave a grateful smile in return. She definitely loved the library, the books and the quiet surroundings would be a good resting place.
The kitsusagi hesitated. "I don't know." Her mother had not known when her eggs would come, and since this was a new experience to her, Ayako wasn't sure.

Instictively, Saix flinched as he was addressed as 'son'. It was something he was unused to, and being called so seemed to make him uncomfortable. After a moment of silence, he offered a single nod. "Thank you." The male grumbled, though his gaze slid away from Ayako's parents.
"Hhn...it'd still be a while then, wouldn't it?" He frowned, before shaking his head. "If it's hard to say, perhaps it's best if you stayed here in the library for the time being, or stay around this house. The last thing you want is the be in some strange area when..." He trailed off, grimacing.

"That of course is acceptable too." Remus had not missed the Organization member's discomfort at being called 'son' but made no show of having done so other than the barest flicker of his eyes. From what Noko had told him of Xigbar, that male was almost playful. This Saix... he was so cold... he would have preferred warmth for his kits but... well if Ayako cared for him... and then there were of course the kits to consider. "We will see to your needs. That goes for both of you, should you chose to be here Saix."
There was a light in the wizard's eyes that while not insisting on such a presence from Saix did firmly & gently request.

Ayako forced back a laugh at Saix's reaction to being called a son. How typical. She could feel that he was trying to tolerate this, and this highly amused her, for some reason.
"Thank you father." She smiled. It looked like she would have to stay here till the eggs decided to make an appearance. Ah well.

Seeming even more uncomfortable, he turned his gaze away from the other three Kitsusagi, ears pinned back as a rather annoyed look flickered on his face for a moment, before disappearing. Then, he sighed. "I suppose I may wait, for some time." He agreed, after a moment, catching Lupin's eyes.
He then glanced at Ayako and silently, he crouched down on the floor, ears flattening, and his usual look of irritation finding it's way onto his face, despite his attempt to hide it.

He smiled warmly, noting but not outwardly reacting as Saix looked irritated. Father hood was difficult. Likely more so when not tried for, expected, or wanted really. It was sad, really. And Remus wondered how the kits would take it... their parents not having intended for them to be here. Remus hoped he would see them enough to be able to show them how they were loved.
"Wonderful. I will gather some cushions and beanbags for you, Ayako. They will be much more comfortable than the chairs here as your pregnancy develops. Safer for the eggs when they come as well."

Ayako tried to hide her laughter as she felt the annoyance radiating from Saix. Not only had he come to explain this, he had to wait here too. She found this rather...amusing, of course.
A sudden thought stuck her mind. "Father...I'm worried about the kits. You know about...your monthly affliction?" She glanced at Saix for a moment. "Saix, from what I've heard, gains his power from the moon. Do you think that the kits will be affected during the full moon?"

Letting out a sigh, Saix glanced at Ayako for a moment, as if aware that she was trying not to laugh. He frowned, making an face, before he proceeded to grumble to himself. What trouble that one night could have caused. Really now, next time - as he was sure Kitsumi would try inviting Ayako over once more someday - he'd stay in his room, and refuse anything Kitsumi offered to him.
Ears pricking as the young female began to speak, he found his gaze wandering over to Lupin as Ayako finished. Monthly affliction? Raising a single brow, the male glanced at Lupin questioningly. A full moon? A monthly affliction? What exactly was this about? He had a small idea of what it might have been but...that was ridiculous, right?

He could not help but wince at the reminder to his and Aiden's 'condition' though Remus felt his mate's comforting gaze and touch. Moon magic? "Well..." And he drew out both that word and those that followed as if taking meticulous care in both thoughts and speech. Which was indeed the case. "Well I suppose all we can do is hope that such traits if they occur either balance or cancel each other out. Though it is more likely that your kits shall inherit the abilities of their father..." A polite nod to Saix, indicating that the wizard did not intend any disrespect in talking of him instead of to him. It was Ayako's question after all. "... than anything from myself. However... yours shall be the first known grandchildren of one with the condition your brother & I bear."
Remus looked off, thoughtful. "I would say their chances are good to be free of the curse. Aiden is the only one of 10, which I would think give your kits very good odds."

Ayako glanced over at Saix, sensing his confusion. She had never told him about the werewolf thing...but he did know her fear of wolves. She didn't get a chance to explain it though, it wasn't as if he would listen anyway.
The female gave a nod to her father's explanation, but a slight foreboding still weighed down in her heart. For some reason, she was still worried. Very much worried.
