((OOC: This roleplay begins as a direct continuation of an earlier roleplay, found here.))
Zuri stumbled into a territory quite new to her, yet familiar at the same time. It was a place she had only seen from a distance until now. This place had been her destination for quite sometime. At last, Zuri had arrived in the territory of the Pridelands. The journey to get to this point had been long, exhausting and painful. Only moments ago was she attacked by hyenas while crossing through the Elephant Graveyard. Perhaps that was not a wise route to take. During the crossing, she became seperated from a dear friend, Isipho.
Zuri looked back at the Elephant Graveyard, hoping to see her friend cross the border into the Pridelands at that very moment, but alas, she did not see Isipho. Zuri was all alone once again.
Her moment of sorrow solitude was inturrupted by a sharp pain at her side. The hyena that attacked her had cut into her, leaving a slash across her side. Her fur was damp and heavy from the blood. She examined the slash, but soon stopped. Just looking at it made her feel uncomfortable. From what she was able to examine, she could tell it would probably heal, but until then remain very painful.
Zuri forced herself to continue stumbling forward, trying to find a place to rest in this new land. The thoughts of being a few steps closer to being reunited with her family only brought the faintest smile to her face. At the moment, there was much more going through her head. She was too busy worrying about Isipho, trying to ignore the wound and finding a place to rest to even think about her family.
Looking ahead, Zuri noticed a large tree that seemed to provide plenty of shade underneath it. Zuri limped to the tree as quickly as she could and started to make herself comfortable. Perhaps this would be the best place to rest, it was far enough from the Elephant Graveyard to be safe and far enough from other lions to disrupt her rest.
She lay down slowly, trying not to put any weight on her wound. It had stopped bleeding and the pain was not as severe, but it still stung enough to demand her attention.
After several minutes of adjusting and trying to swat away her worries, Zuri found a comfortable posistion. Under the starry night sky, Zuri's body went limp as she fell asleep from her exhaustion, storing away her worries about Isipho and the thoughts of reunion with her family...
