Some parts of the book dragged, but it was very action packed. I'd give it an 8.

At first I have to admit I did not like the DH, however, it really has grown on me. I'm still slightly upset at Harry not dying, but it leaves possibilities for Fanfic writers. I was more than a little pissed with the Epilogue, however, it can also be worked with. After all, we are the fandom, we can turn anything into a good thing.

Anyways, the book itself was written hastily. It felt rushed, almost like it had two books worth of information crammed into one. Then the way JKR went totally from having the primary focus be the horcruxes to the new focus of the Hallows. It felt a bit ridiculous. Not to mention all the deaths which could have been given much more justice.

However, despite all of that, JKR did her best, I suppose. I simply like the book because it is an end. Now we can screw with the information given all we want.

I agree with LilMeady with the fact that it felt like she crammed too much into one novel. Everything in the beginning was really quick and rushed, but when things started to slow down I was truly impressed with the plot developments. I told myself I couldnt read it for a while afterwards, and then later I read it again and appreciated it more. I would give it a 10/10

Well i like a quick novel, so it's fun at the beginning. But later when harry and hermione just staying in tent and moving all day to prevent get caught, it's so boring.

But in "the battle of hogwarts" it's so great and i can't wait the film on 2010.

I give 9/10.

I think that the epilogue was the best part. but i hate how she killed off all of those people.

I think DH is a very good book, but it's not the best of the Harry Potter books.
In some parts of DH there is almost happening too much, and in other parts of it, there is happening too littel.
I give it:

8/10

i think maybe she did too much in the book?
like,if she made less events happen in the book, maybe there wouldn't be so many unanswered questions?
