Definitely a striking Z. The wheels make it stand out a lot. We should run each other some time! Lol. Question for you, though. How would you compare our Z to the NSX? I've never driven an NSX. When you turn to statistics, our Z has more power and torque. Can you explain which parts of each car outweighed the other?

I've never driven an NSX. When you turn to statistics, our Z has more power and torque. Can you explain which parts of each car outweighed the other? The NSX is on another level when it comes to performance. THe midengine layout definitely loses less power (drivetrain losses) to the wheels than the 350z, which has a front engine layout. Also the gearing on the NSX is more geared for the engine. It redlines at 8000 versus 7000 on the revup. The 2007 350z are a bit better geared, hence the better 0-60 and quarter times. I have yet to run my Z, but I do have mods which should make it a bit faster. I would probably be faster than my old S2000, but no where as quick as the NSX. I actually ran a 350z at the track before when I had the NSX. I ran a low 13 second time and the Z was in the low low 14 second range. Hope that helps.

The revup has 7,500 RPM. Do you have a Revup motor? Oh, and it is as I expected. The NSX is Honda's top-of-the-line, whereas the R34 is Nissan's. Originally, I had planned to get a 300ZX Twin Turbo, which is quicker than the 350Z, but since I have to use it as a daily driver, I decided against it. What drove you away from the NSX, if you don't mind me asking?

What drove you away from the NSX, if you don't mind me asking? Exactly the same reason you didn't want the 300ZX. The car was a daily driver and I didn't want the NSX to be a garage queen. At the same time, I couldn't justify driving her so much. The revup only has a 7000 redline. The new 2007 HR motors rev to 7500. But I do miss that car smile .

That's the first concept R35 GT-R. The production R35 is now roaming the streets of Japan, and will arrive here very soon! Anyways, it's not surprising that the NSX was faster. Our Z is considerably heavier than an NSX, even if the NSX has less power. Are you going to be doing any motor work to your Z?

Oh man...seeing talk of NSX's reminds me of the other day when I was walking in my work parking lot...saw a beautiful black NSX, but when I went to look at the interior, boy...was I disappointed. It was an automatic transmission. Almost made me cry.
