I haven't seen it, but I do want to.
I think sometimes depictions of gays can be wrong or I can see why they would be offensive.
For example, Jack, on Will & Grace. He's very dramatic, crazy, and can't stay in a long-lasting relationship. Very stereotypical of a gay male, but on the otherhand, he's hilarious and an easily likeable character. I think that they were trying to depict gay people as likeable people even though they are different.
Kind of off topic, but not really.
I'm bi..if anyone was wondering.

That movie wasn't offensive at all...lol just kind of cute/stupid...

If you took offense to it at all I'd have to say you're a little uptight and ignorant...

I love the movie, just bought it actually. Very funny, makes fun of gays, yes, but also has very eye-opening moments, which make it accessible to everyone. I love the part where Kevin James confronts the other firefighters about how very "gay" it was of Chuck (Sandler) to save their lives, or how "gay" it was of him to give them a cheque when they needed it...

Oh, and the fact that Larry's kid didn't want to play sports, wanted to tap dance was cool too. A stereotype? Of course! Did the movie make it's point in the end? the whole court case? Definitely! So, yes, stereotypical, but a step in the right direction...in fact, I will give it two steps forward!! biggrin biggrin

I don't see how it could be offensive, actually.

Over the years, homosexuality has become more accepted.. and i would think people would appreciate the fact that the entertainment business is willing to make movies with bi,gay, and lesbian characters.

Especially considering that it was only a decade or so that it was a topic that was taboo.

Personally, I loved Chuck & Larry
Yeah it had the stereotypical approach to it, but in the end, it made a positive point of view.

And like daynalee_911 said, it's a step in the right direction. 3nodding
