They both have advantages and disadvantages but in the long run, I'd say I/L mage. You can freeze the monsters and you gotta admit... lightning is pretty cool.

LUKless is BARELY worth it.
It'll only be kind of worth it once that one new item comes out...
and even when it does, you won't be THAT much stronger than a normal LUK mage anyway so I wouldn't suggest it. Also, it isn't the cheapest to handle either. It isn't worth it. Like... I wouldn't compare Lukless Mage and Normal LUK mage to a Dexless/Low Dex and Normal Dex Sin.
