It's an interesting take on the Camaro, and it has plenty of power. How GM actually handles the launch though, is a whole different story

Uh, you mean the new Chevy Camaro? Isn't that coming out this year as an '08?
At any rate, I don't have much respect for this new "retro" bullshit. The car looks nice, I guess.

The only Retro car that ever looked good was the Ford GT, and that's because it was designed by a Brit, not an American.
BMWs are designed by an American chap now, and just....just.... savour the awefulness.

Oh yeah, and if anyone thinks Chevrolet "ruined the image" of the Camaro... Uh..
The previous two generations of that car looked like a chick car, if that's the image Chevy ruined, then I can honestly say they had every right to.

I like the new Camaro, but they didn't make it look retro like they planned. I still think it looks good though. It's better than 90% of the cars out there right now.

I absolutely hate it. There's almost nothing improving on that car except for its brand-new-shineyness value.
Camaros are about the same as Mustangs to me: lotsa girls (especially mommy/daddy-bought HS girls) drive them, and most of them think that they're hot s**t when they drive them around.
In terms of looks, I'd choose the Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am. Same engine, but much nicer body.
The old ones have good taste, though. =D

It would appear that they are doing the same thing Ford did with the Mustang. Try to incorporate some of an old model into their current design.

I'd hate to see the retail on after market parts for that engine. Besides, most cases, I think people would just do an LS1 conversion.

They haven't had a good looking Camaro since the late 70's... After that, the s**t hit the fan and they started to look horrible - especially the most recent ones, which are absolutely ridiculous looking. The new one looks intimidating, whereas the older body styles make me laugh at the budget used in their design.
