The midday sun peeked through Belwen's window, the soft rays falling across her face causing her to mumble and toss her hand over her eyes to hide them from the light. Her pink hair glittered across the white linen of her pillow like rose quartz in the bright light, and finally after several minutes she rolled over and pulled herself out of bed. Stretching he looks around her room, a strange sensation hits her there was something very familiar about this place but also at the same time...something very new. Blinking her brilliant blue eyes she shakes her head and dwells on a part of her mind nagging at her a bit.
...classes...she had to be at classes today.
With a shrug she let the worry of classes fall to the back of her mind and turned to more immediate important things...mainly clothing and what she would wear today. Carefully Belwen pulls out a lacy dress out of her closet giving it a once over she nods satisfied at it's condition. Then pulling out various other articles of clothing she wanders toward the showers. After taking enough time to let herself feel fully soaked Belwen heads back to her room and dries off carefully preparing to get dressed.
Her clothing on, she pauses in front of the mirror with a frown she shakes her head, "this won't do at all." Taking several moments she uses some supplies from her vanity to put some extra curl in her hair and then add a few spots of color on her face with make up. After watching herself for several moments critically she nods and turns looking over the room. She was now prepared to meet others, glancing to a paper on her desk she smiles slightly. It was a free period, so she missed little enough by taking some extra time to make sure she looked appropriate.
With slight more haste Belwen puts a small brush, some make up for touch ups and various other things in her purse. Then in a bookbag neatly puts her notebooks and other school supplies. As she walks down the hall she decides to find the library, makes sense that during a free period she'll be able to find some of her classmates there.

::Free Period; finding Allure alone in the library later in the day::
Belwen leans around the corner of the shelf, her bright pink locks falling around the lace over her shoulders as she does. Ah, he was still there the boy with the pretty hair. Creepy over quietly Belwen considers and then drops into the seat right next to him. Smiling brightly she speaks looking to him, "My name is Belwen, who are you?"
She only looks a moment to his books and then to his face, "you've been here a while working on that."
Blinking Allureyan slid his eyes over the girl he had privately dubbed "Candy" and flicked his braid over his left shoulder. She sounded as feminine as she looked. "Allureyan.... and this is my second visit, I breaked for food." Shifting in his seat he examined her up close.
'Dear god don't let her be chatty....' he thought.
Beams slightly when he actually responds, any inclination that he wasn't thrilled to have her nearby she quickly pushed away. "So it's important stuff your working on? Some sort of spell, golem, or a hybrid?" Her eyes sparkle a little as she asks.
Clearly her curiousity is peaked as she studies him a little more, "do you enjoy your work here? In the library I mean." Work was one thing, but she wondered did he do this because he wanted to...or because it was homework. She got a small thrill out of the idea of diving into the psych of others.
Allure gestured vaguely to an open chair while his mind worked through her jumble of questions, and hesitated in his reply. "I guess its important, I'm just correcting some entries in a few files for Dameron, part of my apprenticeship, I want to do it right..."
He didn't quite understand why Candy... errr.... Bel-whatever would care if he enjoyed what he was doing, so he shrugged and gave it a brief thought..... "I don't mind it."
"An apprenticeship, that sounds important." Smiles some observing his expression, he didn't seem like the sort to give away much. "But what sorts of things do you like to do for fun then? I mean work is one thing but what do you enjoy." Belwen was enjoying this even if she had the feeling that the fellow might turn tail and run, to get rid of her.
Allure smiled suddenly and it was brilliant, white teeth on golden skin, framed by auburn hair and sparkling garnet eyes. "I like revelry.... and alchemy. Strage combination huh?"
Smiles brightly at the answer, "that sounds interesting though. What sort of revelry? Dance and song?" Tilts her head slightly and continues to smile, he was really pretty when he smiled she realized. Her smile falters a little thoughtfully, "I'm not so good with alchemy really, but don't know much about it. Maybe you could tell me sometime." Belwen was under the belief that knowing a little about everything could never be a bad thing.
Shrugging the Sanguine's smile only dropped a little, it voltage remaining intact. "I like acting, and dancing." A little bit of color starts to climb up his face as he realizes 'dancing' is far from masculine. "You probably know more about alchemy than you realize. I can loan you some notes I've made, but its really the most fundemental part of life. When not taken in a mystical application. I imagine it would be quite simple to introduce you to the subject."
Belwen grins a bit feeling more comfortable seeing the slight flush in his cheeks she speaks what first comes to mind, "when you flush it's almost the same color as your hair. It's very cute." But almost as fast as the random inspiration came it went and she tilted her head slightly considering what he was saying of alchemy, "I still need to take the alchemy class, maybe you can help me with the work. The notes could be useful as well." She smiles a bit and leans back in her chair regarding him.
Allure is startled by the compliment, but it allows him to forget the breif flush of heat into his cheeks... He almost can't follow along with her reverting to the topic of alchemy, only hearing the latter half of the sentence, he replied on impulse waving a hand vaguely in the air he replied without really knowing what he was replying to. "Not a problem," Then he realized just what she had said and regretted his reply... "I can help you with the practical so you understand the subject before you start in on the classes."
Belwen's blue eyes get wide and she grins a litte. Talking to the serious boy was going better then she thought it would. "I could teach you something in return." Belwen twirls her hair slightly between her fingers as she says this and then flips the bit over her shoulder, "what sorts of things would you like to learn?"
Allure honestly doubted that Candy could teach him anything, but never one to not be a butterfly he straightened in his seat and tossed his braid behind him again. "Well what are you interested in?" He asked as means of determining if he could learn anything. "What do you do for fun? What are your best and favorite subjects?"
Belwen rolled her eyes up some as he asked. "Well I haven't gotten to start any classes yet. But I really hope to be an expert at dueling." Smiles some, "I just need to find the physical education teacher and someone to practice with." Eyes Allure a moment, "you could practice with me," Belwen nods slihgtly as if it is now a fact that he would. "I also love animals. I heard there were some wild ponies around. I want to find them and get permission to learn how to ride."
Geeze... what would it be like to have a girls brain? Allure pondered to himself. How can they keep anything straight? Candy...err... Belwinny? Belwish? Belamy? Oh whatever her name was, wanted to be a duelest! That would NEVER happen. So benignly he smiled into her innocent blue eyes.
"Sounds like fun, the dueling that is, we could coach each other. But I think we would need an older student... To go with for the riding, thats really dangerous for a little.... ehh... for a... well for anyone as small as you are... me too probably."
Belwen's eyes light up some, "well there are also cicus animals, and even horses." She takes a book and then some notes she found in her room, "I know I need to learn alot and prove myself...but someday I would want a cicus horse." Shuffling through the papers, that although seem to be random do have a strange order of sorts, "ah, here it is! Orrys. He is the one to see about dueling. Class wise I don't really know what I prefer yet, but I'm looking forward to them. And to meeting everyone." Belwen goes back to letting herself get distracted by his hair.
"Whoa there high speed... slow down. Cicus animals? Aren't you moving a little fast we're YEARS away from being ready for that kind training. Lets take a few steps back." He spoke slowly and with care, finding it profoundly difficult to follow her logic.
"Dueling... Orrys, Do you always cart those notes arround?" He shakes his head and raises garnet eyes to study her again. "You don't need to...actively be in his classes to ask for study material and an exercise regiment, I'm sure he'd be happy to give you some advance notes." His head was starting to hurt, she was a painful personality.. but he supposed he might be able to get use to her. "Lets not worry about classes and work towards what you want from the bottom up. Its what I'm doing."
Giggles gently watching Allure and his distress over her comments, "I know I have to work up to it. I just like knowing what my plans are." Belwen nods slightly. "Hmm...it's a free period now. I could go and try to find Orrys before period is over." Belwen beams slightly, "have to have goals you see, and well the classes and such. Keeping in mind what you want can help you focus on what you have to do to get there." Belwen tilts her head slightly, "your hair is very pretty...how do you fix it in the mornings?"
Goddess the girl would be dead before the year was out... "So your notes are like a map for you. Begining middle and end?" He gestures to the small, not quite tidy handful of papers, while thinking.... Blazes why is she asking about my hair?
"I would figure exactly what you want to ask Orrys before you go talk to him... wait until free period tomorrow. We're in the library now, maybe you could... Piper says: comb the shelves for a book on the subject that we can look through?"
He tilts his head looking something like a confused puppy... "... and I, at night I brush it with essential oil and re-braid it... then in the morning I brush, wash, re-brush and re-braid it... its a sort of ritual I guess. Its almost always held back,"
Vain by nature Allureyan honestly didn't object to telling her how much time and care he gave his hair.
"You want to find a book about how to get fit for dueling? Or uhm...whatever it is you are working on?" Belwen blinked getting slightly confused, she couldn't get why he seemed to not follow along at the pace she was going. Belwen smiles a bit when he answers her question about his hair. "Always the same sort of braid? Because...I know lots of braids, I could show you some. Or braid it for you when it comes to the more difficult ones."
Belwen carefully puts her notes on various things together, "and I was going to ask about an introduction from Orrys and see when he would be available for tutoring. I believe some students have already had his class."
Allure had completely forgotten he had been working on anything, and with a startled look his eyes dropped to the project he was checkling for Dameron, his face promptly falling into his hand... he wondered...
"Why don't you see if you can find a book on dueling fitness, while I wrap up what I'm doing? And then we should be able to create a list of questions for Orrys."
Standing Allure shuffled the books in front of him on the table clearing his view of Candy, "And yes, always the same fashion of braid, my hairs really to long for me to fight with learning a new one.... but maybe you could show me a different style eventually."
He was trying to be conciderate... desperately trying to avoid being offended by the polite offer to braid his hair.. she wasn't saying. His braid was lop-sided or anything......
"Oh alright," Belwen glances up at the shelves and then to Allure again, "your braid is very pretty, I just like doing hair and it would be a pity not to do something absolutely lovely with yours."
With that she gets up and heads to the shelves giving him time to work. Frowning slightly she takes a moment to find her way around until she finds a small section about fitness. Tapping her lip she narrows her eyes in thought. Finally she pulls out a book about fencing and then one about general dueling. Hopefully these would be helpful.
Allure perks happy with the compliment and as fast as he can manage finishes double checking the notes... Spelling, Gramar.... Punctuation, Indentation on Paragraphs... Settling into his chair, and straightening his spine against its hard straight back. Looking back and forth... Book, Notes... Book, Notes.... Some of the words he wasn't familiar with and had to check his pocket dictionary.
Spotting Candy had found a book, he made notes to himself on a separate sheet of paper and continued what he was doing. Finally when she came to sit across from him again he had pushed several references aside and tucked a couple loose hairs back into his braid. "Done." He smiled. "What did you find?"
Belwen laid the two books out, "one has to do with sparring, which is what I suspect might be what everyone starts with. The other book is more specifically about fencing...which given my size is probably what I would be learning later on."
Belwen pushes the two books a little closer to Allure and leans over the table some so they can both see. "They both seem to have begininng chapters having to more with how things start off." She runs her finger down the index of each book tapping the introduce listing for both. "And since you want to worry more about begininngs I'd say we should start there." Smiles some looking to Allure.
He shakes his head, and repositions his sleaves further up his arms, looking at the Titles and authors, making notes a two xseparate sheets of paper... "Sparring first, since that rarely has to do with weapons, and should include a few exercises...."
"Bel.... do you know how to do that strange five plait braid? I think its called a fish bone something or other? Just curious, I think that would hold my hair better for dueling and all.."
Belwen nods slightly at Allure's suggestions. After a moment takes out a notebook of her own considering that she should take her own notes as well. "We can make a list of exercises to start with. Easy stuff and then on to more complicated things." Taking Allure's lead she also takes down the names of the authors and books.
Grinning slightly she nods at his question, "I do know that braid. And your hair is long enough and full enough that it could be done fairly easily. Have you ever seen it before? Because most likely you'd need someone to braid it for you...and it's best if you get the braids tight for exercise." Belwen smiles some as she speaks.
Setting his pen down thought about the braid more than what she said... "I've seen it in sketches, but I don''t have enough hands to weave it, I think I would need help." He nodds as if to himself... and gestures to the book on sparring, "any notes on stretches in there?"
Belwen leans on her hand some using it to hide a grin, she had a feeling he would love having his hair pampered up...he just didn't want to say. "Well it goes like a crown around your head, and it is very complex, I'd need to use clips to keep the hair seperated and maybe even your hands to help out while it is being braided."
Then looking to the book Belwen flips a few pages showing Allure some pictures of stretches, "there are a few here. Not that many though. Perhaps stretching can be one of the things we ask about."
Allure nods and copies the names of about 5 styretches onto one sheet of paper, commenting as he writes.. "I don't want to look like a girl, so I wouldn't let you use ribbons... maybe leather, but no ribbons..." Screwing up his face he stares a the last stretch on the page...... "I think we'll skip that one for now. Hopefully Orrys can show us these."
Sitting back he started to think and flipped back to the Table of Contents on Sparring... "What do you think come after stretching?"
Still leaning on her hand stiffles a chuckle hearing him meantion ribbon. "Well, I could find some leather to use for your hair. There are actually some very nice things out there." Getting a feeling for how the conversation was going Belwen adds in, "some have designs...and are uhm...very manly."
She tilts her head slightly looking at the stretch, "hmm, well we can ask but that one." She taps the page lightly. "I know I can do, probably more...painful for a male though; if he isn't ready for it. "Depends on if you are going for a full workout I'd say...you could star with something to get your adrenline going after the stretching. Kinda to get you ready for all the stuff you'd be going through for the sparring."
Staring at her slightly offended, he says without thinking, "Well I dance remember, I'm slightly more limber than your average muscle bound idiot...." Flicking his eyes over her from the book he shook his head, "I really don't care how ornate the leather is.... you know its to serve a functional purpose, not be pretty."
Then imbus strikes like lightning hitting him in the foot, "Dance and running are both aerobic enough to start adrenalin flowing." And they also work on conditioning you to breath properly.
Belwen absolutely grinned slightly at his reaction to the stretch comment, she glanced down a moment to get her expression under control before looking back to Allure. "Well, you are probably very agile and fit." Smiles warmly, "I just haven't had a chance to see such. Maybe once we've worked out some together we'll know better."
Belwen nods slightly hearing his suggestions, "those both sound very good." So running after the stretching? As for dancing...I do that whenever I can as it is. I'd like to see you dance sometime." Belwen smiles slightly, she had a feeling he wouldn't be so pleased with the idea.
Nodding Allure is pleased to note on his sheet, "Run 2 km every other day?" or "Run 1 km every day?" and "Dance when time allows..." Shaking his head he looks at her without seeing her, focused on something invisible.... saying finally "I can be agile... I'm no acrobat..... Then what?" Trying to ignore her comment on seeing him dance.
"Don't have to be an acrobat to make use of some of what they use, to stay agile. Alot of that has to do with dance at times as well." Belwen smiles slihghtly, "I'll show you once we get started on all of this." She makes a few notes on her page and then looks up to him, "are we looking for just an excercize routine to do along with sparring? Or things to augment the sparring specifically. Because something to strengthen the legs and arms would be best I believe. Running and dance sort of things is good to keep your heart going; but some light lifting might be best for getting the rest of you...and me ready."
Allure nods, "Sure, no harm in setting up a full exercise schedule. Lengthen the muscles and stregthen the joints." With some concideration he looks up at her. "Do you know how to swim? It works every muscle in the body."
Bites her lip thoughtfully, then shrugs. "I am pretty sure I know how to swim..." Belwen wrinkles her nose slightly realizing she wasn't really sure. She somehow knew she could swim but never remembered doing it. Pushing that thought away she speaks again, "Though we might need permission to use the pool. I'm not sure if it is open usually."
Allure couldn't remember swimming either, but was certain he could. "Of course we would need permission for almost everything...." Flipping pages he smiled again... "On to actually sparring now? And what are you going to do about your hair, with all those curls it would be almost impossible to braid."
Tsks gently hearing the comment about her hair, "I can braid it, curly hair can be braided as well sometimes it has to be straightened but it can be. Also there are other ways, such as french knots." She pauses a moment and then shrugs her girly facade dropping slightly. "Or there are quicker types of knots. Such as lovers knots that can pull your hair up without much fuss. But for prolonged activity something more involved should be used."
Allure nods and doesn't argu, "I'll trust you to come up with something pretty and functional." Dropping an offhand compliment." As the hair he had tucked into his braid earlier came free again. He made a few notes on sparring to bring to Orrys, "anything i n particular you would like to focus on in sparing? Grappling? Dodging, Tumbling?"
Allure looked at Candy head on, and couldn't imagine it... being difficult to pin the girl in her frilly dresses with all those ruffles and flounces.
"Well really all of it will be needed at some point. So we start with the easier things such as dodging and basic form to hit from and then move from there. I would think grappling would be more difficult and some of the tumbling I already know could be helpful through all of it."
Belwen smiles slightly as she speaks warming to her subject as she considers the alternatives. "Of course when we go to speak to Orrys, we should be ready if he wants to demonstrate something. I luckily do have a few outfits that would be perfect for such."
Allure ponders this, he hadn't concidered a change of clothes... He looks down at his over sized tunic, and gave it some thought, he did have one cuttaway a bit shorter, A set of trews that would work, and tall boots..... "I'll put together something, I don't have many sets of practical clothing, most of mine were designed with spilling chemicals on them in mind, loose, and a little big.
Gesturing to the book, "Page 152 has a bit on dodge exercises making use of a large weighted ball...." He scribbled the page number and a synopses of the exercise on his sheet of paper.
Belwen glances over at the page, makes a note as well. She might as well look into this exercise when she has a chance. "I think that is about it for now. When would be best for you? I'll try and get ahold of Orrys during a time that would work for both of us?"
He thinks about it, "I'm free most of this week. Find me, and we can go."
"Alright, I'll make sure I have plenty of time to braid your hair beforehand." Gathering her things up Belwen stands and puts them in her bag. She gives Allure a cheerful smile and hurries off before he can protest to her doing his hair.
Allure shakes his head and laughs, standing so he can go and turn in his editing...

-Written in flowing pink ink in her butterfly journal. Small butterfly shapes decorating around the occasional word as she writes.-
So I just started my classes, but great for me my first period was a free period. Which is perfect because well I needed time to get ready; my hair was a pain this morning to say the least. Luckily my dress was pressed or I might have missed the entire period. I didn't really have anywhere to be since I didn't have classes yet so I went to the library in hopes of finding some other students.
Boy, was I in luck I met a really nice girl named Danna and a boy named Allureyan - they both have really beautiful hair. Danna was working on a golem; which I totally know nothing about but she seems real smart and knew what was going on. Not sure if I would ever want a golem, but I think I would like to draw an idea for one sometime - well after I get my class about it and such. Looking at Danna gave me a totally wicked idea; I'm going to see what sort of school dances they have planned. Because I want to help out with one...and if they don't have a dance, I'm going to have one myself. I think one without all the teachers peering over our shoulders would be way more fun; just have to see how it goes.
Anyways, spent the free period learning alot about golems - not sure I'll remember any of it though. Allureyan didn't seem to be paying lots of attention either though I think he was totally checking out Danna; she's real pretty so I could totally understand it. Must of been why he didn't have much to add about the golems had his mind elsewhere.
So first period wasn't so bad, I hope I can meet others in my classes because it would be real neat. Maybe I can even find someone interested in helping me get the dance around!

I was able to contact a stage one to help me get my Gym credit taken care of, the class was interesting to say the least. I learned the basics that I read about in the library blocking, dodging, punching, and kicking. It was a bit of a workout but I think I did fairly well. Grave was the one I contacted about teaching and he was a wonderful teacher...attractive as well.
He has offered to duel with me as well sometime, which I am more then slightly excited about. I'm not sure really when I'd be able to catch him for such but when I'm able I will take him up on that offer. Dueling is one of the things I really need to know about. I think I need to get monster training as well as law done soon as well. I don't mind taking them during the normal classes but I want to know as much as possible about what I have in mind for my future now...so if it doesn't seem to be something I would want to stick with I have plenty of time to look at alternatives.
Also...I must find more Empyreans with tails, they are...*then there is a scribble on the page*
Classes first for now, I think I might also see about a little get together.

Belwen looked thoughtfully over the bookshelves in front of her, she wanted to expand her dueling experience some and Khamsyn had agreed to be her partner for studying what she found in the books. Looking at a small pile of books a bit dubiously Belwen decided on the basics books with illustrations and a more indepth training guide. Tucking the others back on the shelf she took her two books to the front of the library to be checked out.
