smile I too must admit I liked Travolta in it, as did the other people I forced to go see the film xD I think I was just easily sucked into the illusion! I think he did the part rather well smile but as I say, I've got nothing to compare it too.

If you want to compare Travolta to the Edna I'm talking about (at least voice-wise), you can watch this video of the performance at the Tony Awards, although this isn't the best performance of this song I've heard, but the good video of this song is a performance for the Today Show where the guy wasn't there D:
But here is the video with the guy who sounds like Bev Bighead.

i think i was the only straight guy in the theatre (let alone most likely the only guy there) that saw it. haha. my aunt was going so i hopped along, as did my sister and 2 cousins.
i was actually very happy with it...who knew james marsden could sing? its like his stab back at huge jackman (anyone who gets that i commend you haha). the songs were great and nikke blonsky was pretty cute. except for "i can hear the bells" (which i wanted to gag haha) i really really wanted to dance along haha. plus the over the top corniness and off color humor was great, i wasnt expecting half of the things they said.
was it just me or was the little black girl (forgot her name, cweeds sister) look alot like a huckstable kid? haha.
i wasnt too impressed with travolta though....i dunno why...i guess i expected more than what i thought. his bit with christopher walken is great though.
christopher walkman is awesome wrapped up in greatness.
haha rofl

I enjoyed the movie, liked the tongue-in-cheek humor, but didn't see the need to put Jon Travolta in a fatsuit, or, for that matter, the movie. I thought that his "female voice" sounded like a combination of monty python little old lady falsetto and fourteen-year-old-boy trying to sound like a woman, with just a hint of Carol Channing.

i couldnt notice the carol channing. i think maybe i was over hyped by the media. elijah kelly was probably the best one in the whole movie with blonsky, walken, and peifer all tied at a distant second.

Elijah Kelly is gorgeous. I am ... wow. If there were anyone around here who looked like that... mmm... I would have jumped him already. I thought everyone did fabulously. And they were either good looking or had great comedic value. SO GOOD. heart

You're timeless to me would be fab for a wedding biggrin xD Mebbe a renewal of vows moreso though smile
Also I must admit I found myself strangley attracted to Zac Efron in it! Which is weird as I always disliked him until this >< Hope I didn't dent your do.
