This is true, but I doubt that everyone needs to be so tough. Sometimes it takes just as much, if not more, strength to cry.
And yes, a kid`ll be for independent, but they can get that at home. There needs to be a balance of the parents helping, but not too much help. That`s part of being a parent.
You don`t stop doing it until they`re out of the house or an adult, which ever comes first. You don`t ditch kids at the baby sitter all their lives, so why do it at boarding schools?
It`s almost like, actually, it`s completely like letting some one else raise your children.
