Who asks first? Hum. "I... dunno. I guess... some people don't have to ask. Ronan said we'd have to hang out for a while before we could decide if we were friends. And others I've asked said I have to earn it. But I guess some people would give friendship freely, too... Most of the people back at the house are like that, I think. They just give friendship and get friendship and don't have to make sure. I have to know, though... So... I guess I'm the one that usually does the asking?" Head tilt.

"Ohhh, I see." I think. But earning it sounded hard and tedious. Like you were being put under a hard exam. Then again, giving it freely sounded almost risky. She nodded, both to herself and Paradise. "It...does seem better to actually know. So why don't you just hang out and 'know' with others. Like Mr. Ronan." It was easier to say though than do. If someone asked her that, it'd be obvious. She was too shy to openly seek and ask a friendship.

"I... err..." Paradise had to think about that one. "Well, for one, Ronan wanders around as much as I do. He's sorta hard to pin down..." She frowned slightly. "And I guess for the other... like I said, I'm not easy to be around for some people... and others I have a hard time being around. Well, to be with. I'm just fine at being around people just about any time if they're not bothering me and vice versa. Or... something. That makes me sound anti-social..." She frowned more. "I never really thought of myself as anti-social..." A pause and then, "Actually I guess most of the time it's more like being socially apathetic. If I wanna talk to someone, I will, otherwise... eh... I don't really care?" She was making herself puzzled by this point so she decided to drop it. "You said you're around family a lot? I gather they're not as... people-shy as you are? If they're trying to make you socialize..." Paradise was the sort that if someone did that to her she'd probably make a point of ignoring whoever she was supposed to socialize with... >>

Wow, so much to say for such a simple question. Nahanni tired to keep up with what was said, stumbling along somewhat. "So...it's like you siad before? It just depends on who?" Well, at least with this 'who', Nahanni was having quite a good conversation. Something to learn about besides magic. And she pondered to herself the difference between anti-social and socially apathetic. Was she one of those and didn't even know it? Hre head shook to the question about her family. They enjoy company and..." Her words slurred as she missed a step-and faceplanted on the soft grass.
"Hnnnn~" Tears formed on her eyes with how the ground had smacked her nose. She was still tired after all. Paws moved to rub her sensitive nose as she adjusted on the groungd. How....embarrassing. ;__;

Paradise actually gave a startled yip when Nahanni suddenly tripped over her own paws and fell. You know... she looked really tired, come to think of it. "You okay?" A pause. "D'you need to take a nap? You look pretty tired... Sorry. I feel observant." Yeesh. How could she not notice something like that? She was getting lazy, and that could get a kitsu in trouble wandering around on her own like she did most of the time. "Is your nose in one piece?"

"I'm alright..." Nahanni nodded, answering with a squeaky voice. She pushed herself to sit up, dusting herself off and readjusting her yellow sash. That was a first, she was hardly ever clumsy, even around family. Her eyes turned confused to Paradise. "Um, don't be sorry." Why should she be? Nahanni held her breath as she checked to see if her nose was, indeed, still in one piece. "Yeah, a nap sounds good too." She reached for her sash, and pulled out her delicate fan. A porthole would get her to bed faster....

Paradise's ears flicked curiously as she pulled out the fan. "Well, if you're all right... what's that for?" She couldn't fan herself while she was asleep, could she? Paradise sure wasn't gonna do it. Head tilt.

"It's a fan that I enchanted." The tan kitsu tried to explain best she could, wven if it was somewhat sluggish. "It acts like a portkey, transporting me places." But that was rude to just up and leave. Is that something friends did? Nahanni peeked to Paradise shyly. "Um, did you want to come? Or I walk you home." Anxiety rose at the awkward confusion each felt.

Paradise tilted her head. "Ah... no, I'm good. I think I'll stay here. You don't need me hanging around if you're going to sleep and I'm not really ready to go anywhere just yet... so, uh, go ahead. See you around?" Whenever they managed to bump into one another again, anyway. A thought crossed her mind then and she added, "I guess if you hear from Ronan if you could maybe tell him I said hi, too?"

A tired nod. "If you insist..." Almost lazily, she flicked her wrist to snap the fan open. Its red and yellow design blurred as she twisted it around, observing it for any tears. Hmm, seemed in top shape. Nahanni blinked, looking back down to Paradise. "Who? Oh, sorry....still sleepy." Embarrased, she gave a faint smile. "I'm sure Ginny will hear anything first; I'll ask her. Goodbye then, Paradise." And with a wide swing of her fan, she disappeared from sight.
