(Darius, I'm downstairs. I can't hear you, sorry.)

Rogue heard someone behind her knock on the wall and say, "I'm here."

"Wha-" she started turning around. The new girl she'd sort of met when she was in the infermary with Raze the other day was poking her head though one of the holes in the wall. "Oh! Hi. Musta not seen you in there. Sorry. I couldn't find anyone and since that's so irregular 'round here, I figured either y'all were tryin' to pull a fast one on me, or somethin' was wrong. And considerin' all this," she motioned to the surrounding damage as she said 'this', "I was getting worried it was the second one." She paused momentarily. "So. What exactly happened to mess this place up so bad? A new kid lose it, or was it those pinheads that call themselves The Brotherhood?"

Conner faced the gates of the institute and pulled at them, they were locked. He sighed and looked for an intercom button but to no avail, either there wasn't one or he just wasn't seeing it.

He took a step back and craned his neck upwards and gauged the hight of the gates fourteen foot minimum i reckon he thought and took another step backwards and crouched, concentrating on the task ahead. He tensed and leapt upward, feeling gravity fight to pull him down but losing it's grip. He grabbed the top of the gates as they came into reach of his hands and pulled himelf over the top and landed haphazardly on the other side as his centre of gravity righted itself. He looked back through the gates and watched the dust move after the overpresurre from the jump had created a small dimple in the drive, he felt a little proud that he had made it without messing up and started down the gravel towards the mansion.

He set his clothes down and took the towel with him to the bathroom. 'Hmmm i wonder what Kidd's doing in there?....'he thought as he was showering.

"Yup. You're right. The Brotherhood it was," said Victoria, pulling her head from out of the hole and walking into the hallway via actual door as opposed to gaping hole. Her tone was on the bitter side, as pondered over the attack and everything that followed. It was a lot to take in, even after her extended cat nap.

"Don't tell me stuff like this happens everyday," she asked Rouge, glancing again at the debris around theme. Sure, it was exciting, at the time, but she had to wonder. What with this seemingly on going war between the Brotherhood and the X-Men, the 'good' and the 'bad', grand attacks like this most likely not a rare occurrence. Funny, if she wanted to live in a constant war zone, she could have just stayed home.

"Sorry about that then Morty." Zion said with a rakash grin on her pale face. When the game was started she looked at the screen not paying attention to Toad now, just to her moves. Perfect, Great, Great, Great, Perfect..yes I'm on a role. She thought to herself mid-way through but by the time it got to the end she messed up on three steps enabling Toad to be the winner. Zion's left eye twitched slightly. "Ah s**t."

She was finally all woken up so she would be able to concentrate. "Were did we get these anyways? I didn't notice them before when i walked in?" she asked openly to whoever got it.

Kidd nodded at Darius as he hurried away. She didn't want to say anything, but she could tell he needed a shower too. She slipped back I her room and made up and Big colour full sign that read "welcome home x-kids" Kidd was very proud of her sign. She'd never been much of an artist, but she thought to look pretty damn good. She rolled it up and tidied her room. Hopefully the other kids would like her little token of affection, and not destroy it in a fit of teenaged mutant angst, the worst angst there ever could be. She tucked the poster under her arm and hurried down stairs. She slide down the banister, the stairs being in less then excellent condition and hoped off dashing toward the main lobby entrance. She looked around, no one was around.
"Lets try something different..." Kidd whispered to herself she tossed the poster in the air, it unfurled opening wide across entrance. She held up her palms and shot ice darks into the corners of it, nailing it to archway. "Oh ya!" Kidd made a quick ice latter and tacked it properly. "That was fun, but ice melts" she giggled to herself, and stood back to admire her work. All done.

Lizz looked at Mortimer and Lance. "Lance, Mortimer. Pizza...what do you want on it?" She said. "Anyone else can add as they feel, speak up now cause this is the last call for toppings." She said reaching for the phone book that was conveinently located on the table next to her. "Speak up or forever hold your peace."

"Anything but olives," said Lance, talking to Lizz from over his shoulder as we walked. Though he did not plan on stopping in the living room for an extended period of time, the current DDR battle between Toad and Zion made for an interesting distraction. Apparently, a bet had been made, and judging by the twitch in Zion's left eye she had just lost. To Toad. While he wore hot pink feminine underwear on his head.

The Brotherhood just reached an ultimate low.

The taxi ride from the bus depot to the Brotherhood mansion was mercifully uneventful, and David was glad for it. After what he'd been through, uneventful was a good thing.

The cab driver had tried striking up a conversation on a few occassion, mostly to break the silence that filled the tiny car, but David quickly dismissed it. It wasn't that the cab driver was a bad person, it was more that he was a "flatscan", as Mystique had put it. A normal person, no powers, nothing to make them unique.

And after what David had suffered through at the hands of flatscans, it was only normal that he didn't like them. His parents were flatscans, and they'd disowned the kid. That gang that had given him the scars that adorned his body had been flatscans, and they probably would have killed him had Mystique not stepped in.

So, "not liking them" was a bit of an understatement. If they wanted Davide to view them as little more than bigots, they'd have to earn his respect.

David hopped out of the cab once it pulled up outside the Brotherhood house, taking what little luggage he had, specifically a bag of old clothing that he'd gotten from charity organizations. He paid the driver with the little cash he had left from his work as a street magician, and walked towards the house without so much as a "thank you" to the cabbie. After all, why should he thank him? Driving people around was his job. People don't thank the folks who spend all day in offices doing their jobs, why should the ones who spend the day in a car be any different?

The mansion was not quite what he'd expected from Mystique's description, it was a hell of a fixer-upper. From what David could see now, it looked like it had recently been renovated. "Whatever..." he mumbled, as he walked up the steps to the house. Raising one hand, he gave the door a few sharp knocks, and waited.

Toad stood waiting for the game to start, he had seen kids play it in arcades so he knew kinda how to play. Then the game and the music began with directional arrows following soon afterward. They came fast and Toad fell right into pace next to Zion, stepping on the same arrows as her, luckily with his flexibly and strong leg muscles he was able to complete the game like a pro missing only two steps in the beginning. The song ended and the scores came up on screen, a moment later the screen flashed "Player 2 Wins". Toad smirked and turned to Zion, raising he eyebrows three times before speaking. "So what was that about cleaning my room?"

Zion looked down at Toad and then bowed to him. "A bet is a bet, love. Just make sure I haven't eaten anything before I go in there, kay?" She said with a grin at the boy. She just hoped he didn't have her dress in anything rediculous. She then stepped off the dance pad and jumped up on the coffee table, turned on her heel then fell backwards landing on the couch next to Lizz. "I did pretty good but the kid's got more skill then I do." She said to her friend who was flipping through the phone book.

"Don't tell me stuff like this happens everyday,"

Rogue shook her head, making her white bangs sway. "No actually it doesn't. We keep the rivalry in school and occasionally on the street, but both sides tend to let the 'Homebases' alone. Sure we might get an occasional troublemaker, or somebody might sneak over there to ruffle a few feathers, but nothing on this scale." She looked around once again at all the damage, and sighed thinking of all the work they'd have to do to fix it.

"Did they have a reason to come bustin' in here the way they did, or what?" she asked. Then it hit her that she still didn't know the girl's name. "Oh! Hey, I never did catch your name. I'm Rogue, by the way." She knew the girl probably expected her to offer her hand in greeting, but she hadn't done so in a long time, not even with the gloves as protection. Plus, the ones she was currently wearing were biker gloves and had a hole in the back. She wasn't about to risk skin contact nomatter how slim the chance.

"They came to be the s**t outta us," said Victoria, as plainly as if she were reciting the time. "And to prove they were superior and therefore 'worthy' enough get Genetically Advanced on Asteroid M."

Victoria's eyes flicked up to meet Rouge's, who probably had no clue what she was talking about. She'd fit in that way though, as half of them were there and lived through it and still could not understand it themselves.

"Ya know," continued Victoria, trying to make a joke out of it to lighten the mood a tad, even if it was forced. "Same old, same old. Oh, and I'm Victoria."

Old habits die hard, as Victoria's right hand twitched as if to give a handshake. She had always been taught or rather 'trained' to do so, and it was about time she broke that habit. Beside's, Rouge did not seem to keen on touching, even if it was completely innocent. Germophobe, she assumed.
