I have three but actually one of them is the School's... I'm pathetic..
One's a pocket The other is a cornet- It was in a flood and it smells really bad... The other ones the schools wich is all old and horrible looking... at least I know which one is mine xd
So does anyone want to give me tips to help teach my friend how to play because she just got her braces and started... I want to help because She's last chair... I'm only a chair above her... I was last chair until she joined... She can almost hit low C.... Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'll get caught sooner or later
I have no idea why they haven't checked

Does anybody have a reccomended way to clean your trumpet.
Apperantly carborator cleaner is not reccomended, even though I reccomend it. It is really good if you have like blue slime in your used horn and your like, eeeewww. Although it is flamable, and I wasn't allowed to play my trumpet for about three days. ((Perfect for special effects and three day weekends when your as bored as heck.))

I have a Vincent Bach 7C. Just a question, as ya'll sound like your in high school band to be worring about your C's. What the hell does the C thing mean? I'm in the 8th grade and I'd like to know. Then I'd be smarter than the entire rest of the trumpet section combined. Man those guys suck. Half of the can't play ANY of the notes resting above the staff. They never play loud enough, it's like they all are having asthma attacks. Two of them are really bad, and have to ask me the fingering of practicly any sharp or flat, or B natural. It's like thier brains were sucked out, exept one seventh grader in our eighth grade band. She really gets it.

My instructor never told me.

narutomaster90 iOggy Do I mind? eek Of course I don't mind. I was hoping I'd get Crew status... thankies! And back on-topic: I have two trumpets. One is a student-model Bach, "gold", that I use for marching. The other is a shiny, newful silver Yamaha that doesn't leave its case unless I'm in the band room or on the stage for a concert. I got it a year ago, and it still looks brand-new. *considers taking pictures of his trumpets and posting them* Ooh! Maybe we should have a BNG picture gallery? i have a bach brand trumpet too surprised surprised surprised Bach trumpets are truly awesome. I've got a Bach Omega semi-pro, and I've been playing on it for about eight years. It's just great, wonderful tone, great valves, very good for playing in any genre. Quote: I have a Vincent Bach 7C. The number and the letter together detail the diameter and depth of the mouthpiece (as in the hollow part)

((Perfect for special effects and three day weekends when your as bored as heck.)) Disassemble, put it carefully into warm water with a decent amount of dish soap. Most soaps are fine as long as they aren't heavily scented or "moisturizing". Those will leave a greasy residue. Let your horn soak for a few hours and then take it out again. Wipe it off with a soft towel. I always leave my trumpet disassembled over night so that everything's completely dry, the the next morning use a polish rag. Then just grease it up and slap some valve oil on your valves and you should be golden. Oh, and make sure to run a snake through the leadpipe and the slides. Be careful on the smaller slides so you don't scratch them all up and stuff.

I play with a 7C and I have awesome range... like really awesome but when I tried playign with something smaller... i forgot what it was .. like a 4b or whatever. I found it imposible to play, to small for me to foccus in on... then again that was last year.

The depth is the difference...It controls air flow also. the Smaller the number on the mouthpiece the less air it lets you blow through. lol. and as a junior in high school i dont really care what mouthpiece it is. just so long as i can play on it. XDD lol. oh and being 1st chair doesnt nessacerily mean that you are the best. some one in your section could have a better lower range, or higher range...maybe articculations is what they beat you at. Anyways the point of me rambling like this is that there's always going to be somebody who beats you at something on your instrument. no matter how long you or they've been playing.

I own two trumpets. One i loan out to the strange mello's that want to play trumpet...i haven't seen that one in a while...i'm getting kinda worried about it. Then there is my silver tone king. It's kinda amazing because it's 93 years old and it still is in perfect condition.
It's actually silver plated and brass on the inside giving it an amazing tone quality. The silver has hand carved designs on it and it being silver it's alot heavier than a normal brass trumpet made now-a-days.
I love my baby and it's name is Steve. YAY STEVE.

whats up i have two trumpets one i lowned out because theirs was busted i havent seen it since but i sure its ok and the other is a brass colored king thats about sixty years old its in great condition and the sound is amazing i have been playing on it for seven years. I notice a few of you guys are having trouble deciding mouth peices the smaller it is the harder it will be to have a good sound or reach higher notes just keep praticing with smaller mouth peice and your sound will become stronger as you practice with it. oh and eventually youll be able to reach higher notes than you did playing on a a 7c or 5c.
