Chaiyo parted with Azul, making his way over to the aforementioned restaurant. He ordered quickly and payed before heading to the table they agreed to meet at, a light bounce in his step. It had been a while since he was as happy as he'd been that day.

After a few minutes Azul returned, carrying a tray, and back to his more wolf-like form. The magic had worn off, it seemed, or perhaps he'd just forgotten to keep it up. "I was going to have a hot dog, but then I found Mexican!" He said, tail wagging and disrupting his kilt. He sat down, picking his drink up from the edge of the tray and taking a drink.

Chaiyo curiously looked over the boy's tray, moving his water to his lips to have a drink. "Mexican cuisine... this is something you like?" he asked, smiling at the boy's wolf appearance. He liked this better.

"Mmhmm!" Azul's tail wagged with a new life as he bit into a burrito, chewing and swallowing before he spoke. "I like beans, and spanish rice, and salsa, and guacamole, and cheese, and sour cream, and jalapenos! And tortillas! An' their music! I like their music too." He grinned.

Chaiyo smiled brightly, giving the boy a light giggle. "You're adorable~ Mexican cuisine seems like something I can eat," he spoke, tilting his head in thought. He hadn't heard anything about meat... He would definitely have to try it next time.

Azul grinned, showing teeth. "There's lotsa stuff in it that doesn't have meat in it! Like....like taco salads! And nachos!" His tail wagged wildly as he took another bite. "Mama says it's good to try lots of new things. So I try lots!"

"Your mama is right," Chaiyo said with a happy sigh, taking a large bite out of his salad. He chewed carefully, watching the boy-wolf as he did so, his fingertips dancing along his thighs. Thinking about it, he was really enjoying his time with Azul. Much better than work, he thought with a small chuckle.

"Mama is super, super smart." Azul seemed to calm slightly, tail only twitching in thought. "She's always readin' and telling me all kinds of good stuff." He tail began to wag wildly again. "And taking pictures! She has a biiig photo album! Some of the pictures aren't really good but they're fun! Come see it sometime, okay?" He grinned again, before taking a bite of his food.

"Ah!" Chaiyo cried out, laughing loudly in response. "I would love to see the photos~" he cooed softly, swaying in his seat. Why, why, why, why is he so adorable? he wondered rather frantically, biting onto his tongue.

"Yay! Mama's always glad when I make new friends too, so that'd make her happy!" Azul's tail wagged again, happily, and his ears twitched to perk up.

"Does that mean we can be good friends? I would like to meet your mama," Chaiyo said with a smile, nodding in agreement with himself as he finished off his salad. I've never met anyone's parents before, he thought nervously.

"Aren't we friends?" Azul tilted his head, one ear tip flopping slightly. "I mean, we're having fun! That's what friends do, right? And we're eating together! Friends do that too, right?" As he spoke his head gradually tilted to the other side.

"Right, of course, but this was a chance encounter," Chaiyo cooed, smiling affectionately to the curious canine. "BUT - I am happy if you think we're friends. I do, too," he continued, kicking his feet gleefully under the table.

"Then we're friends!" Azul's face fit up and his tail gave a wag. "I like having friends! S'not like before, you haven't even tried to pull on my ears or tail! Lots of people did that, so I didn't have many friends growing up." His ears droop and he covered them, making a small whining noise. Clearly, remembering people pulling on his ears and tail wasn't pleasant.

Chaiyo frowned, shaking his head. "Human beings are bullies... I, too, was bullied growing up," he admitted. Looking down and to the side, his fingernails dug into his thighs through his pants, and he clenched his teeth. Did he choose this profession for a reason? He wondered about it, but only briefly.
