Rhone nods and grins at Raine.
If Cinkel can create a portal that can support mana flow, then I can send a signal through it. ^_^
By now Rhone had already drank three full glasses of his liquor and showed no signs of intoxication.
Fahriel was intently listening to the plans, but at the same time his eyes kept drifting to the stone on the table.
hmmm...

Cinkel rubbed his chin in thought for a moment, "I can create this portal. It wouldn't take me too long either if I have the materials. It just, where would we get these materials? I'd need another pair of hands to help me as well. They wouldn't have to know much. Just how to follow directions. At the most, it'll take me six to seven hours to make. That's just a rough estimation." He stared off into space for a moment, "Alright, let's do it." He smiled brightly. This sounds like fun.

Azriel raised her hand, grinning like a child in class quite eager to answer a question they knew the answer to. "Ooh! Me! Me! I want to help!" With a giggle, she added, "When I'm sober, of course. Heehee!"

Cinkel smiled, "I'd have you there anyway, even if you weren't to help. I'd have you sit there and look pretty, which doesn't seem too hard for you." He laughed softly.

Azriel's current state of mind wouldn't let her get it entirely. She just leaned back again, scratching her head with a look of puzzlement, thinking, 'The hell would anyone flirt with me? O_o She closed her eyes to mull over the thought, but sleep soon took her about a couple of minutes later.
Sheena had been long since finished with her bath about halfway into the previous conversation. She was asleep in a guest room right now, but before she had gone to sleep, she had set a simple booby trap by the door. She was still wary of Zelos or Rhone peering in on her.

"Hmm... now all we need is something to amplify Rhone's signal," Oro put a paw on the stone on the table, "I wonder. Schwarz analyze this by morning. It could be used as power source for the boost, if it is what I think it is."
"All right." he picked up the stone "If it can be used, I might be able to find a previous design schematic that will be able to use this."
"Raine, where is Derris-Kharlan place in the sky? I want to estimate the distance."
"Astrology never was one of my strong points, and with the combining of the two worlds has made the night sky out of order." She stood up and started to walk to the door, "But I do know the basics, and most stars are still in the proper places. I can also give you the size of Derris-Kharlan as well."
"Perfect." Oro jumped off the table and trotted to the door. "we'll be back in a little while." Raine opened the door and the two walked out.
Schwarz ran off to a corner of the room, with the stone and materialized tools to start his analysis of the stone. Before he started he got back up, went back to the table, poured himself a drink, "So much for taking it easy." he sighed as he returned to his corner.

Cinkel rubbed his chin as he laughed, "Poor Schwarz. I'm sure we can find sometime later to relax. D'accord? Okay?" His smile then faltered, "Hrm, guess I should work on the plans for the portal." He sighs. His eyes went dark as he went deep in thought, resting his head on his fist, his elbow in his leg.

Rhone looks at Azriel and sighs.
Poor girl looks tired...
he then turns back to the others.
I'm gonna get Azriel to a bed. She could probably use the rest.
he gently walks over to her, picks her up, and begins to walk up the stairs while being careful not to bump her wings on anything. Finally he makes it to a guest room and places her in a bed. He then covers her with a blanket, turns around, and chuckles to himself.
I'm so old I treat everyone like a child now...well, no one ever said being immortal was gonna be easy.....
he then proceeded back downstairs and stood next to Schwarz.
Hmm...think I can help since I don't really have anything to prepare? That way we can get back to drinking faster.
By this time, Fahriel had fallen asleep standing up. His armor held him up.

"Sure... sure." Schwarz mumbled To Rhone, as he lightly tapped the stone with a small hammer, the stone let off a small ringing sound, "hmm... somewhat metallic sounding ring... center is hollow but has small canals running through it made of crystal... Hmm." he smiled, "Rhone tell me how much do you think this weighs?" Schwarz threw the stone up into the air for Rhone to catch.

Rhone catches the stone and holds it for a few seconds.
Hold on a sec...
He takes out a common rock and holds it in his other hand.
This rock is about two pounds...and this stone seems close to the weight of the rock so...I'd say 1.76 pounds. ^_^

"I thought it weighed a bit less... this could prove more useful then I first thought , the crystal on the inside of the stone could act as a refining link..." Schwarz grabbed the stone from Rhone, "I wonder if this thing would work with the 'gray melody barrier' plans... If it does, this will work out smoother then I first belived... Break out the booze, Rhone! I'm heading out to get the pieces of gear I need to make this Gizmo!" Schwarz ran to the door, "you help Cinkel now, if we get that final part we should be able to carry this out by tomorrow morning." he slammed the door behind him. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Outside the king's palace Oro was writing down an equation with his tail, "Right carry that over... place that here and then..." Raine let out a yawn. causing Oro to look up from his work, "You tired Raine? Maybe you should hit the hay.""Oh no... I'm just... just... need to rest my eyes." Raine closed her eyes and instantly began to fall into dreams. "Heh... Stubborn girl." Oro summoned a wolf pelt blanket and pulled over her with his teeth, "Sleep well... you are going to need it."
