"Tis a shame...I almost liked him...when he dies." Shrugging the comment off she returned to the conversation with Shadow, "Soooo, when you describe a woman you're basicly using 9 as a reference? Hehehe, you see how much this chokes me up?" She tapped a thoughtful finger against her lips before continueing, "You evil types are what really get me, though. I bet right now, if I asked you, you would say that you could not be charmed because your mind and soul are not your own. That is a common misunderstanding about how charming works, I don't give a damned about your mind OR your soul, but I do know that after enough time that they both will be mine." The way she spoke, and the way her eyes glinted, would have sent normal men lusting after her, but she knew that her little show would effect Shadow just about as much as it would effect Truinthil, she needed to be smart with this one. "To deny ones ability to love or be loved only allows my magics to dig deeper and build firmer roots...so next time you lay awake at night, doing what ever it is you do, think about something for me...can you love or do you love?" She nodded her head a few times, as if accepting what she just said.

Shadow laughed outright at Heswina's misconceptions. He then replied while ticking off points on his fingers. One. I don't find 9 attractive. She's too helpless and bores me. Two. My mind and soul are my own but if you must know I do not have an entire soul so there are far stronger forces than you that would draw it. Three. I don't deny an ability to love or be loved. I admit it. However what I love is nothing that you may offer me. Four. I think it far more likely that things will be the reverse of your expectations if you attempt your charms on me. I have far more tricks up my sleeve than you expect and the most lethal is that which you can't see until you're too close. As he spoke Shadow lowered his voice slightly and leaned toward Heswina.
His body language made a statement opposite his words even as he altered his pheromonal signature to something akin to an aphrodesiac. As he made his last point in a whisper that would leave his warm breath lingering on her neck however, he shrugged and leaned back smiling slightly.

Raising her right hand she flicks her fingers across the spot Shadow's breath had warmed, almost as if the skin was irritated yet she was not. "Between the two of us there are very few, if any, people who could match our mental strengths. My physical aspects have left me lacking, hence the reason I use a longbow from a distance. My mental strengths compensate for my physical weaknesses though. What you assume is the peak of my power isn't even the tip of the iceberg my, humble, yet undeserving friend." She paused a moment and let her words sink into Shadow, her voice was very calm despite the person she was sitting beside could very easily attack and kill her in one good blow. "Oh, and you left something with me...it kinda stinks." Heswina waved a hand off to her side as a black bubble popped on the surface of the dojo floor, there stood what looked like one of Shadow's orcs. "It survived your little attack and was begining to die off...would you like it back?"

Shadow grinned maliciously as he saw the orc appear. He said in an amused tone. No not really. I have thousands more. As for your other point I never said you were at your peak. I simply commented on your current power. I have several ways to greatly increase my strength right now but I find it better to save them for when they are needed. Hmmmm would you like a way to be physically stronger? More able to handle the foes that do manage to get too close for your bow? As he spoke a secretive smile played across Shadow's face and his eyes ceased glowing all together and became a honey-brown color.

"I would very much like a way...but then I would be forced to rely upon you and your abilities to provide me with such a way, and that is far more dangerous." She smiled at herself, knowing damn well that Shadow could only be trusted as far as she could throw him, and that wasn't very far at all! "I have other means..." The orc's head was suddenly torn from it's body as a vivid blue creature stood at attention, when Heswina had summoned it remained a mystery, but it did seem to know what she was thinking and what she wanted done. The creature pulsed a blue light as it's hands changed from the bladed edges it had created back to it's hands. "I am probibly giving you far to valuable of information right now, but seeing as neither one of us are really on each other's s**t list, I think I'm ok. Meet Karna...a personal body guard, one of three actually. His body is pure energy and he adapts to absorb the energy thrown at him. Physical attacks do not phase him, he absorbs energy attacks, and his mind is mine to control...he is the perfect little soldier." She spoke with almost motherly pride towards Karna and his abilities.

*Landing next to him, the orbs spin around his left arm and are absorbed into the liquid steel covering it* Long time indeed * he breathes in deaply causing the scales on his chest to flex*

((Does he absorb the energy by becoming the same?)) "You may go right ahead...but under one condition! I love my Karna very much...if you kill him, then you surrender your mind to me. Deal?" She opened her arms and gave herself the slightest of shrugs, "Men like Karna are very hard to come by, seeing as he's the last of his kind." ((No, he takes about half damage from the first attack then adapts his body to absorb the energy then change it into a useable state. Kinda like what white blood cells do to viruses. You still get sick the first time around, but any time after that it's basicly...blah!))

Dealing with some physical changes * lifting up his left arm and showing that it was compleatly coverd in liquid steel* along with some side afects from becoming a searpent

Shadow chuckled before motioning to the dead orc. The dark energy generated by the pain of it's death was drawn to him and absorbed almost immediately. Shadow then held up a hand and channeled a single soul into it. He freed the soul and shot a weak blast of holy energy at Karna's left eye. He immediately channeled a second soul to the same hand and fired it at Karna's right eye. After that he sat back down shrugging because the results were barely relevent. Both blasts had been very weak.
