Her seventh trail... After this one, perhaps she would try and arrange a combo with the techniques she already knows. It'll be interesting, at the least...to try and put two techniques together into a 'style'...almost like a jigsaw puzzle. A light grin crossed the child's face. Who said Hyuugas didn't enjoy ninjutsu? This was enjoyable, perhaps even as so to learning Juuken Kempo. Imagining twelve seals - twelve simple seals and five element types making so many thousands of different types of Jutsus! And that doesn't even count the special elemental techniques or the styles certain clans have developed...

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), but Oboro Bunshin really lures the enemy into a clever trap. Hundreds of Oboro Bunshin appear to confuse the enemy. These clones have no substance, thus attacking them will only make the enemy go right through them, without making the Bunshin disappear.

But just when Elruda thought she had figured out everything about the Oboro Bunshin...she discovers she could somewhat control the clones' movements. Interesting...now this was something new. The basic Bunshin no Jutsu would just follow her own movements. Elruda tried to manipulate the clones in different manners, yet still noting they were still basically nothing but air...thus the clones cannot conceive damage upon the opponent. Yet, she could manipulate the clones separately - they would appear to move freely like Kage Bunshins, yet still are only illusionary copies of her.

Wait a moment... If it took so much divided attention to control each clone's separate movements...was perhaps number not the emphasis? Hm... She had read some accounts of fighting against this type of illusionary technique from ancient Chuunin Exams journals - how the opponent, if using many clones at once, would generally keep them on the ground and moving only in the basest manner - while combining with Doton techniques to hide under the ground or keep in stealth nearby, waiting for a chance to strike. And all of this because of consideration for Konoha's doujutsu clans, during the years the Chuunin Exams were held in Elruda's home village.

A bead of sweat rolled down Elruda's forehead, as she concentrated hard to control specific movements for three different clones. To be honest, she mixed parts of the three basic Academy stance movements up. Ok. So that more or less proved her theory. Unless the shinobi in question is an ingeniously quick-minded tactician, dividing attention is certainly an unwise decision. When Elruda concentrated on only basic movements (forward, backwards, sideways)...she discovered she could control more clones and still remained at more of a ease mental-wise.

Still no good... Elruda thought disappointedly. No, she can't let her spirits get down just like that! Besides, she had advanced through the technique without problems until now. Perhaps if she separate the clones into two groups...or for now, just keeping the two groups going in the same direction, but starting from opposite sides. It should then be easier to imagine the paths of movement and control the clones accordingly rather than disjointed groups.

The curious thing Elruda noted about this particular technique was that it seemed to be a good masking technique, for those without lots of chakra and prefers close combat techniques. Seeing as this was one of Ame's signature techniques, it was probably often used in conjunction with their other technique - the Rain of Needles. And quite an interesting ability given to the clones, even should they get hit, the numbers remain unharmed. However, Hyuugas among the taijutsu world was a rather rare, strange case...due to how their techniques were constructed, over time, the clan had basically forcibly expanded their reserves. Logically, she should be able to form and maintain more clones than normal for a new Genin.

She was really speeding through this technique... After this, her eleventh, after ten successful ones remains only one last trail. But generally, it was alot of fun figuring out how to manipulate the clones. Work, yes...and it did place strain on her...but for a boundless, energetic child like her, she recovers swiftly and probably in no time at all. Forming the handseals, Elruda closed her eyes and concentrating on molding her chakra before forming and spreading out the clones. The more she continued, the easier she found it to control the clones. But then again, that was what training was for...

Looks like she might not get a chance to try out combinations after all...but that was alright. If necessary, Elruda was probably more of one to improvise on the last moment. It was rather oddly calming, to see clones blur into existence...wasn't it so fascinating mere mist and air...practically nothingness...could be manipulated like that...? Though for shinobis it was a common, everyday sight...Elruda could understand why civilians would be so fascinated with the shinobi world.

Feeling confident about the technique now, Elruda paused and dispelled all existing clones. She quickly formed the handseals, calling forth chakra, and watched as six clones blurred into visibility. Very quickly they sprang forward, utilizing what on the basic look appears to be Juuken Kempo, but Elruda was actually manipulating each clone a step behind in the same technique flow of movements. This gave her some extent of control and made maintainance easier, yet while all the clones still appeared to be each using a different stance.

"Well done. Now try this." Wrath said as he manifested a clone of himself. He let the clone of himself prance around a minute so they could hear it's footsteps. The clone walked up to the two females and lights tapped them on their shoulders and walked away. However once it walked passed a certain distance it dispersed and turned to the form of water, splashing along the dirt.
"manifest a real clone now." Wrath assigned to them.

Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Doppelganger Technique)
Creates one or more identical copies of the user out of water. More similar to Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger) than to a normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Doppelganger Technique), these clones are capable of attacking, except for the fact that each clone's power is only one-tenth of the user. Also, the clones can only be controlled within a certain radius of the user. That is the technique's weakness. This is considered to be the Water Style equivalent to the Leaf Village's "Kage Bushin No Jutsu" (Shadow Doppelganger Technique) mainly because it divides up the user's attention and chakra to an extent.
Cp: 4 per clone
Damage: Bushin deal 1/3 of your normal damage.

Sakeme remembered when she was learning that technique... it was kinda useful... though not nearly as good as a water clone... or even better; the shadow clones... those were completely solid replicas of the person performing the jutsu. Turning to listen to Wrath's directions, Sakeme put her hands together to form the proper handseal and created her first water clone.

She watched as her clone walked around and moved slightly. Using the sun's reflection off of the water to aid her chakra in creating the right tone and shades of colors for her skin, hair, and clothes. It wasn't too hard. Trying it again, she was able to get her clone in the right form, but it was lacking the color. Was it her positioning? She wasn't sure...

Elruda was happy that Wrath praised her success with the Oboro Bunshin but the doppelganger lessons was far from done. Mizu Bunshin was next hn... Generally, it would appear that Wrath had expected her to do Jutsu reading on her own...it was rather fortunate her clan had emphasized quite a good deal on early education then...and gotten her used to reading long, if not somewhat boring passages. But ninjutsu reading was a different story and rather enjoyable - well, up to a certain point. When EVERY little detail of a Jutsu's history is emphasized...then that becomes a little tedious.

So...what did she know already of this Jutsu? Well, for starters...it was among the more complex doppelganger techniques, Ame and Kiri's rival to Konoha's Kage Bunshin. And like Kage Bunshin, these clones are special and are capable of afflicting damage - Kage Bunshins equally divided chakra among the user and clones while Mizu Bunshin did something of a similar line - except the clones only have one-tenth of the original shinobi's power. Not very useful taijutsu-wise but are indeed a good choice for performing accompaniment ninjutsu techniques. And when stabbed, the clones do not disappear immediately, appearing to bleed for a moment before fading back into water.

(Sakeme doesn't know the water clone jutsu. She knows oboro but not the water clone. The water clone is from kiri and are actually solid clones not illusions like the oboro.)
