The room of the Earth Dragon Knight was still silent and dim, a thin strip of light falling in through two curtains not fully drawn. Liozu had almost woken several times earlier in the morning, but had each time fallen back deeper asleep, a troubled expression on his face. That he now woke with almost a whiplash effect was, if anyone had been in the room, quite a surprise. One hand snapped out and closed around the hilt of the sword leaned against the side of the bed, the hilt and hand glowing briefly.

"I don't
think so, worm. I have no use of you," Liouzu mumbled as he stood up, the large sleeping-shirt hanging loosely off his frame, slipping off one shoulder as he walked up to the barely full-lenght mirror standing in a corner. Liozu was normally not one for admiring himself in front of the mirror, but now he stood in front of it for several minutes, pose after pose being struck.

"This... is barely adequate," he said while shaking his head, arms stretched over and behind his head, a leg stretched out in front. It was a remarkably feminine pose.

"At least the legs are good enough... though this hair is a total catastrophe! Pathetic! Well, nothing much to do about it, I suppose." Another change of stance, now he stood slighly leaned forward, tanned hands moving his face into different grimaces.

"At least the face is pretty, if nowhere near how I look in reality!" Liozu sneered at himself, brown eyes slightly richer in color than usual, before he finally left the mirror, went through the whole wardrobe with a displeased sneer on his face and finally, as if disgusted, picked an oufit.

***
Liozu slowly wandered the halls, blank eyes taking in everything as if for the first time... or rather, reaquintaining himself with it.

"Honestly. Do these people know nothing of change? It looks more or less like it always has! But, what to expect from lizards..." he shook his head slowly, somehow-fake-looking expression of regret on his face. Liozu's customary happy grin was only present in a twisted form of itself, a smirk better suited on someone who saw themselves as superior to anyone else.

"I...um....I....."She stood, blinking wordlessly, mostly out of suprise. She had never been asked out before, least of all quite so quickly. She started to feel her face turning very bright pink. That was about the same time she felt the floor spring up and hit her: in her suprise, Celia had fainted.

"AUGH!" Racing forward, Aurumn grabed the knight to keep her from injuring herself on the hard stone floor. "Miss...Miss....um..Wind Dragon Knight, I've killed her! I didn't mean too!" He looked like he was about to cry.

Nieth laughed, the sound meant to be friendly. "Not all of them are quite so bad as that. These uniforms, for example," she gestured the maid to walk forward. "They allow for more movement. Most of what you will be wearing, however..." She smiled at Micoi, a touch of amusement still showing on her face. "My dear, you had better get used to it."

Baran smiled, rather pleased with the compliment. "Thank you, sir." Not ertain of what else to say to something of that caliber, he decided to excuse himself before doing anything, well, stupid.

"Um, if I'm not needed for anything else here, I'd like to get back to the HQ." He directed this comment to the Yellow Officer, but glanced sideways at Aiketh, who nodded and waved him to the door.

"I should be going, too." Aiketh stood, brushing hair from her face. "I suppose I'll see you shortly." She nodded blank-faced, standing, almost lingering a moment, by the chair before walking out of the room as well.

Midare just stared for a moment, then sort of ... sweatdropped, also kneeling down. She put a hand on Celia's neck, checking her pulse. Even if she wasn't very good at healing, she at least knew the basics. Looking back up at the Fighter, she said, "I don't think you really did. She just uh. Fainted."

"Yes... oh." Illusia seemed to remember something as he stood and quickly moved to the door. "Baran!" he called down the corridor. "Would you please go see if Liozu knows about the meeting too? I'm sure he slept longer than me today, he had his reasons.

"Really? I don't see how you could all come to wear things like this." The young queen shook her head, her opinion about the corset obvious. A moment of silence and then Micoi galnced at the older dragon. "I won't have to wear it with my nightgow too, or?"

Baran bit back a sigh. He was tired! But a little detour wouldn't do him any harm, and how was he supposed to refuse the Secretary of State, especially after he had just been so polite to him?

"Right away, sir!" He called over his shoulder, altering his path to take him past Liozu's chambers. He hadn't gone very far before he saw the Knight walking down the hall in front of him. Shouting his name, Baran sped up as Liozu turned around and stopped to wait for him, arms crossed over his chest.

"Hey, I bet you weren't expecting to see us back so soon," he said, grinning. When this did not produce the expected reaction from him, Baran faltered, then attempted to regain his steam. "Uh... Anyway... I'm supposed to tell you that there's a formal meeting in Lord Jett's office soon." Still not getting any friendly reaction from the Earth Dragon Knight, Baran backed off slowly, ego taking a sharp hit and highly confused.

"Of course not," Nieth handed Micoi another pair of earrings. "Let me see if these match better. No. Give them back."

The nightgowns at least should fit until things calm down enough for us to remake them all for you. I wish we had been given some sort of advance warning." She rolled her eyes, then knelt and pulled out the drawer at the bottom of vanity table. "Let me see your feet."

Micoi lifted her skirts obligingly and Nieth fretted her lower lip.

"Your feet are a little too big for most of these shoes, I think. We'll see what we can do."

Several pairs of shoes later, she had decided upon a pair of low black and blue heels that didn't quite match but would be mostly hidden under the skirts anyway.

"There. You look quite presentable now. How is your hair? Does it need to be combed?"

"Oh, crap"" Illusia turned to Aiketh. "Would you send word to Baran later that he's welcome as a guest to the formal celebration tonight? He did, after all, go with them there."

"That might have been a bit impossible," Micoi said, commenting on the time comment. "After all, I used my Eyes to teleport us here." The use of the word "use" and "Dragon Eyes" in the same sentence might have been odd to the other dragon. A Dragon Queen did not use her Eyes... she wished upon them to create miracles. The way Micoi spoke of her jewels were so... casual, as if they were some tool for her.

Nieth ignored the Dragon Queen's wording. After all, she had been isolated most of her life from the general population. How was she to know the "proper" way to speak or what phrases were in common use?

"There." She stood, looking over Micoi with a certain grim satisfaction. "That looks nice. There's a full length mirror on the inside of that closet. Have a look at yourself while I think if anything needs to be done with your hair."

Aiketh raised her eyebrows at Illusia's language, but restrained herself from saying anything. It wasn't a big deal. They weren't in public or in front of the Dragon Lord.

"I'll be sure to tell him."

"Ah..." Liozu chuckled quitely, and the smork he'd been wearing before slipped into something... marginally more friendly and open, if not as cheerful as it should be.

"No, not really. It went well, then?" Standing here talking like this was a frustration, but alienating the lizards already, only minutes in, wouldn't be effective. Reluctantly, Liozu briefly smiled as he used to.

"And I'm sorry for the standoffish reaction. I haven't slept well," Liozu shrugged. There. That ought to do it. Snooping, overly friendly parasites. But if he was to find out anything particularily useful, he had to actually behave somewhat like he should.

((XD Yes, Aurumn is unspeakably cute.))

His eyes were still wide and shiney, "Oh...But...why would she faint?! I just asked her out for coffee..." his lower lip bent down again, "Ohmygod, she must find me repulsive! The mere thought of going out with me has made her faint! My first time asking a girl out and she faints on me!"

"Thank you," the man nodded. "I suppose we should get going to the meeting, or would you like to find and tell Baran first?"

Walking over to the mirror, trying out the heels on the way, Micoi looked at her reflection. Well, it looked ok. She wasn't used to this kind of thin heels though so she'd have to be a bit careful. "I usually let it hang loose in the evening because there aren't as many hostile creatures passing then. If anyone ever attacked it was during the light hours. Of course, the last decades it has been calmer, I think they finally learned they they were only going to eat dirt if they tried anything," she grinned at her reflection as she fiddled with her hair and pushed it all over one shoulder.
She had killed a lot of things in her little more than century long life. To the people of Dusis, she guessed, a hundred years might not be much but to her it was... it was such a long time. She silently wondered if the attacks would dimnish even a little now that her presence had disappeared from the temple, many demons had, after all, just gone there to try and kill her. And then they hadn't known that she was the future queen... well, that was what they, she and Kanak, had guessed anyway.

Nieth's eyes lit up as Micoi played with her hair. "I know the perfect style for you. Open that drawer," she said to the maid who was walking past a set of drawers lugging a very heavy looking sewing box. "This will look beautiful on you, I think. Let me just take a moment..."

In a matter of minutes she had coiled together the Dragon Queen's hair so that it hung all over her shoulder, kept together by two strings of thick pearls.

Celia was dreaming....Sort of. She was pacing in a very well lit room, which seemed like it fit in the Dragon Castle, but she had never been here before. "I don't know...I just don't get it. Why is it I can find these kinds of things so easilly, but never when I mean to?"she said, turning to the other person in the room. He sat at a dark wooden rectangular table.

"Don't worry. It will all make sense to you eventually,"He replied, adjusting his glasses slightly. He ran a hand through his short, sandy hair, seemingly a gesture of exhaustion with this kind of insecurity that Celia was prone to display.

"But...I drew a map of a place I'de never been, then I go there, and find a proper map, but its a really, really magical map...I don't even know where this is!"She added, sounding a cross between frustrated and panniced.

"Again, don't worry. These things have a way of working themselves out, as long as you just keep going. Don't give up, you'll remember sooner or later,"He replied, smiling kindly at her.

"Remember what?!?! That?!"She started, as she pointed to a section of the room that was completely dark. Every time she went near it, she had much the same experience one would when walking into a wall. "Why won't you just give me a straight answer for once!!"she said, now in a place somewhere between anger and depression: it seemed entirely possible she might walk over and hit him, or just start to cry.

There was a knock on the door, and a woman with long dark hair, draped in white, and a cross on her forehead entered. "Having troubles?"She asked calmly, a question seemingly directed to both parties.

"You try reasoning with her...She never listens to me,"Said the man with a sigh, exiting the room the same way the woman had just entered.

She turned to Celia, and then smiled. It wasn't exactally a friendly smile....but it wasn't cold either. "He's right you know. Take everything into consideration before giving in to frustration."She said calmly. Before Celia could utter a word in another direction, she started to speak again, "However....for now, I believe, you need to awake."

At that point Celia's eyes fluttered a little, and then she opened them. "Ouch..."she muttered, followed by something incoherent, but along the lines of "Why does she always do that to me.....?" That, was when she realized she was still in the middle of the Hallway with Aurumn and the new Wind Knight. Immediately she sat up, her eyes widened, and she turned what could only be described as scarlet with embarrasment.

((Gahhhh!! Long post. Well....kinda.))

"She who?" Aurumn was leaning over her, his namesake eyes huge and golden. "Are you okay, Miss Celia?"
