This time she actually finds the crank once more and cranks the apparatus JUST enough for it to work. Grabbing the glider tight she takes to the skies.

As she glides through the mists and fog she smiles. She likes she can control the glider by leaning side to side. However she also knew she had to stay high enough not to hit the water. She then goes through a fog bank and hears a gentle voice speaking words she can't understand, and feel a strange surge of emotion. The feelings of joy, peace, and holy duty come over her. Then her movements become more sure, as if she instinctively know how to pilot the glider for a few moments. She smiles as feels as if someone is smiling at her.

She was going to get the gliders to work this time. She wound up the glider that she'd gotten from the shed, but as she got in, the glider seemed to start....and stop. Maybe Acerola had wound it up too much?

She tried winding it up again, but this time, one crank less. The glider seemed to tremble as it launched. Acerola closed her eyes, hopeful and shivering in excitement. When she opened her eyes, she was surrounded by clouds. Success!

Acerola kept falling and falling....and she was dropping to quickly. Once again, she had no control over the glider as she fell, almost perpendicular to the water flowing beneath her.

She had to try again. Because failure was not acceptable. Acerola launched off again. This time, she was cruising through the sky with ease. The feeling of the air as it flowed through her hair....I'll stop there.

It seemed she had an insatiable urge to drop as fast as she could. The glider kept dropping and dropping, but she managed to pull out of it at the last moment.

Gliding further down with a smile on her face she leans to avoid most of the fog banks. Her smile widens as she goes through another fog bank filled with happiness, peace, and holy duty.
