"Bright and hopeful as the sun!"

Seles had laied down in the sand for quite awhile now and was growing irritated with the squarbling a few of the kids were having now. By the sound of it the Hermes boy, Danny, was dead. Seles frowned against her will. He was one of her friend's half-brother and was an aquantence. If she was thinking of the right person that was. Did nothing good ever happen to demigods? And what about that girl who fell in the Hermes cabin. It sounded like she was here, if only for a moment. Seles sighed in experation. Someone was fighting again and it sounded like it was going to get bad.

Instead of larthigically rolling onto her stomich and then fighting her way off of the ground like she usually did, Seles streached quickly and leapt to her feet like a martial artist does. It was one of the only "getting-up-because danger-may-be-comming" tricks she regulary used. Now Seles stood and brushed off the caked-on sand. What ever beauty she possessed by her four hours of intensive makeup care was long lost. Now she just looked like her regular self, thich light brown hair curled into a mane that would have made a lion jelous, sand smeared on her arms and all over her dress, and her cute hair-pin in a rare visable spot in her hair. Seles strode over to the fighting group. It looked like three girls and one boy.

Again she sighed. Fighting other half-bloods wasn't any fun, but their fighting was seriously ruining the light and beauty of the beach. Seles strode over to the group and put her hands on her sandy pastel blue dress.
"What's going on?", she asked angerly, not fazed by the boy's loathing, "What reason do you...people...have to ruin this spot for others?" Really Seles was iritated by the boy's arrogent attitude. He seemed like one of those "Look at me! I shall take down any who oppose me and my might! Now come here so I may smite you and send you into the afterlife! Hahahaha!" kind of kids. Some actually could, but this kid looked smaller than Seles or at least better groomed. "Now is there any way you two can resolve this without glaring daggers and plotting to kill eachother? I really, really don't feel like healing anyone who is so hotheadded."

Blake ripped the arrow clean form his shoulder and knocked the other away with the broad side of his blade he looked back at the huntress, "I've killed many people before don't you dare think you'll get any sympathy from me." He kept walking untill he saw the bird, "I hate birds.." was all he said before he cut a single wing off and the owl fell off balance. "I need to get going cheers." He walked away toward the woods bored and feeling a sudden desire to burn a certain body. He walked with one hand grasped firmly on his sword. The spraypainted blade blended in perfectly with his black shirt, black combat boots, fingerless gloves, and black jeans. He walked calmy trying to keep his composure. There was a hole where he'd ripped the arrow from the huntress it was bleeding but he paid no attention to it he'd ignore the pain it had missed an artery so he was in no real danger of bleeding out.

After a while I turned back around and realized quite a bit has happened. I somehow knew exactly what was going on. "Will you people just shutup!" I yelled. This was exactly way I hated camp. At any moment the whole freakin' world could explode or something. "You three" I said looking at the girls. "Back off a little, gees. And you try to be a little more considerate of...life in general." There was so much going on in my head I couldn't keep track. I growled and walked off without another word. "Kill each other for all I care" I yelled back with out even turning around. "I have really got to get myself some new friends" I muttered under my breath. Then I heard another girl talking about keeping the peace or something. I turned to her. "You see" I said looking at the other four. "She is the kind of person I want to hang out with." Then I turned back to her. 'Feel like hanging out"

Zoe Unloved and Unclaimed
Zoe couldn't take his behavior. She wanted to run behind him and jump on his back tackling him. While she didn't say anything about her hands. But they were really really searing hot. It fealt as if they were bleeding.

Nicole Daughter of Hephaestus.

Nicole ran straight for the woods while The one girl tackled the dude. She bolted running for Danny's body to preserve it. She didn't want someone to mess with it. After all that is only one of te reasons why she was made to come back to life after she had killed herself. (EXIT T WOODS JUST FOR HER)

ALex Daughter of the mighty Ares and Hunter of Artemis

Alex laughed a clod laugh as he got tackled. He looked almost like a Nemisis kid. The girl who tackled him looked like a Hades kid. With her mummbling about sensing a spirit and all that. She yawned and then followed the Owl girl to the woods. But she stoped by the owl to grab it for the owner.

Gwendolyn felt horrible. Her life had been turned upside down within just a few hours. Change had never suited her well. She had walked to the beach to calm herself; being by the sea had always made her feel better. When Gwen arrived, she saw a group of kids arguing, or something of the sorts. She frowned. Couldn't anyone get along at this damn camp? Gwen sat a little ways away, turning her brooding gaze to the sparkling sea before her.

The voice of "the-girl-who-fell" speaking behind Seles scared her pretty badly. To be honest Seles really was never snuck up upon so she was accustome to knowing where everyone was. At this moment Seles had thought that "the-girl-who-fell" left the beach. Monsters usually announced their pressance in some way and so Seles never worried about that, but now she realized that she should work on it. At least she was friendly. What first looked like surprised anger quickly became a quirky musical laugh. It was sad to say, but her laugh was one of the only things Seles would count as pretty. Seles always put herself down though.

"Woah!" Seles smiled "When did you come back?" Secretly, Seles always thought "The-Girl-Who-Fell" was one of those nice, quiet people Seles was so often regarded as, but now she saw that Emma was quite determined. "I'd love to hang out. Want to sit down for a spell? It looks like it's going to be quite around here...at least for a little bit!" Letting her hands off of her side, Seles walked over to where she was laying down before. She was about to sit down again when she saw another person. The girl looked terribly lonely and Seles and "The-Girl-Who-Fell" wanted company so without further waiting Seles walked over to the girl and stood to her right, "Hey, I havn't seen you around here! Are you new?"

"Yeah," Gwendolyn replied, looking up at the two girls. Gwen felt slightly panicked. She never could pick up a decent conversation with anyone. "I'm ... Gwendolyn. Call me Gwen. And who are you two?"

Seles smiled comfortably, her arms swinging playfully like a pendulum at her sides. She really hoped she wasn't scaring Gwendolyn, but with hair like a lion it was kinda hard not to do. To reply to the girl's question Seles brished down her pastel blue dress and attempted to straighten her hair pin, just to show she was nervious aswell, "I'm Seles Faulkner, Daughter of Apollo, the sun god and she is....." Seles faultered. She was never actually introduced to "The-Girl-Who-Fell" or if she was her memory had long failed her, "Nice. It's nice to meet you! I hope you didn't see that fight. Some kids are violent. In time you'll find out which cabins tend to house the most bullys. And if you don't you can always duel. I think you'd be a good dueler" Seles concluded, her thoughts a little mixed due to a bit of adrenilane. The fact that the girl, Gwendolyn, replied meant that Seles could sit down. Seles sat down far more elegantly than expected and got sand in her mary-janes. She grimmanced, but otherwise continued to smile, "You're new here so you're "unclaimed" for right now, right? If so you'll be in the Hermes cabin. Its fun there, save a little...overpopulated."

I smiled at the two girls. It was nice to have some normal laid back people to hang out with. I held my hand out to the girl Gwen. "I'm Emma Blake" I said sweetly. I had had enough bad first impressions for one day. I sat down next to the other girl. She looked like she had gotten dressed up today I wonder why.

Gwen's eyebrows furrowed with confusion, but she quickly started to smile uneasily. "Uh, I've been swordfighting for the past ... Six years, maybe?" She took out her swiss army knife and began fiddling with it. "I've seen how much demi-gods fight one another. And I think overpopulated is an understatement." She blew a piece of hair from her face.

Gwen shook Emma's hand. "Nice to meet you Emma." She smiled another uneasy smile. Do I really belong here?

Zoe looked around. Okay, so what have I done today? She thought to herself. I have, made a friend maybe lost a friend. Made 2 enemies. Saw a spirit. Found out my hands can smoke black. Eaten 2 packs of gum. Not much. Maybe I'm not fit to be here. Hmm. I'll leave tomorrow. She thought then she got up and ran to the Hermes cabin.

I could tell something was bothering Gwen a little. It was a feeling I well understood. The feeling of not belong, of being out of place. I had felt that way almost my entire life. It change once I got to Camp Half-Blood, but only after I made friends. I hoped I could help her see that she fit in. Then a random thought popped into my head.
I piped up a little. "Forgive me if this seems like prying, but what kind of realtion do you guys have with your mortal parent? I mean ever kid here seems to be abused or abandoned or something by their parent but me and my dad's relationship is totally fine. He even knew I was going to Camp Half-Blood."

"I can probably answer that," a young female voice said from nearby. Petria had silently been listening, and always wanted to help. "I honestly was great friends with my parents. Until my existence killed them. Kids here usually don't have the best relationships with their parents, mainly because most mortal parents aren't ready for the danger our lives bring with us." she sat down next to them, her blond hair escaping her hat. "I mean look at me, I'm supposed to be a harmless daughter of Aphrodite. My parents were killed by venti, storm spirits."

"My mom..." Gwen's eyes got that faraway look that usually came when she was thinking of her mother. "She was great. Always took time for me. Worked as a nurse and helped at the orphanage. She even got my uncle to teach me swordfighting." Gwen shook her head. It wasn't the time to get lost in memories. Stay in the present, forget the past.

I looked at the girl who had just sat down next to us. I gave her a reassuring smile. I didn't know at all what it was like to loose someone. No one close to me had ever died. Except Danny. Though that didn't even matter to me anymore. He deserved to die. I shook off that train of thought. I didn't need it dragging me down again. When Gwen spoke about her mother I could feel a sense of longing. I knew what is was like to suddenly be ripped away from your family. I was close to tears thinking of my dad again. I stood up. "Excuse me" I said to the little group. I went over by the ocean where there was a just enough mist I threw up a drachma.
