Bakhti wasn't imagining things at all nor being panicky, although there wasn't anything serious there had been a little cry of alarm from her youngest son. It began again but stopped shortly after as Mchele spotted his mother come into veiw. From there it turning into a happy mewing and he bounded over to her, rubbing against her leg.
He wasn't too concerned about Kiburi. She was near and mum could take care of her too if she wanted. And he didn't care if the other cubs saw him getting comforted by his mum either. He was young and it was allowed as far as he knew. That's what mums were for right?
But then there was a cry of 'Mom!' and it didn't come from him... or Kiburi... who was it? And who were they taking to? This was his mum! He looked behind him and saw the scary lion coming over and pause in front of him and Bakhti. Instantly he hid behind her foreleg and peered around at Danzi warily. "Mum mum!! He's going to eat me!" He cried as he cowered. "He roared and tried to attack me!" Ok, so it was a bit of an exaggeration.

Bakhti smiled down at Mchele and licked him before laughing a little. "Mchele. Danzi wouldn't hurt a fly!" She smiled and turned to Danzi, "How are you?" She then turned to her two cubs again, "Kiburi, Mchele this is your older brother Danzi." She smiled at them both and winked at Danzi, this was the firsttime she could remember them meeting and well it had to happen at some point. HEr family had to stick together and not "eat" each other.

He smiled down at her with eyes that spoke only the truth. He wanted to stay, and though sometimes he knew his heart would ache to see new lands, that was no longer the life for him. He had been put on this hot planet to protect the ones he loved, to keep them from harm. For him now that was Panya and Maawio. The cub needed protection until she was old enough to leave, and though he knew he would miss her dearly there was a part of him that knew she needed the chance to explore, to have adventure.
He turned his head a little, spying the pretty female cub from the corner of his eye, his tail still curled protectively about her. It was nice to be able to make others happy.
"This is definately what I want." He whispered, lowering his head and pushing his nose up into the curve of Maawio's elegant neck. Pridelander females were oh so beautiful, that was for sure.
"I'm here to stay whether you like it or not." He joked, a contented purr rumbling from his throat. "And I've been thinking anyway, the Pridelands is a safe environment to bring up a family, don't you agree?" There was a mischievious twinkle in his hazel eyes.
He glanced up as Bakhti moved away and then drew in a deep breath, turning to gaze once more at the cub. "The lions here are very friendly, there are cubs too. I know this place will be wonderful for you to grow up in. And until the day when you wish to walk the lands of the rogues again I'll be here for you." The noisy large lion caused Kiburi's fur to stand on end, her small body fluffed up - making her look almost twice her normal size. Slate-blue eyes widened and she turned to gaze at her brother, the small cry in his throat distinguishable as his.
A sudden desire to protect her sibling arose in her, but what could a weakling cub do anyway? She would never be as strong as other's her age and she despised that. Ears drooped and then her mother's scent caught on the air. She was returning! Cheering up instantly - for mama made everything right - she turned to gaze up at them.
They had another brother! Well this was news to her. She moved cautiously to hide behind her mother, nestiling her body against the large hind leg and peering up curiously. "Mama, he weird." Her small nose wrinkled and she stuck out her tongue, then with a small huff she turned just in time to see Rocky moving away.
She let out a squeaky cry of excitement and moved slowly towards him. Was he okay? Tilting her head to the side and blinking at him with curious and innocent eyes she followed after the red male.
"S'cuse me Roc-- uhh...you 'kay?" She stumbled over the nickname, not sure whether this was the time or place to use the gentle teasing. It didn't seem like the male appreciated it much anyway. He probably wouldn't like being asked such a thing either, but he was too grumpy and needed cheering up. Did she have the patience to do such a thing?

Her eyes had that usual twinkle, but she couldnt help but notice Amaris. She nuzzled him again, sapphire eyes sliding to admire the place she called home. He wanted to stay. He wanted to stay for her, but for himself too. She knew that for once, she couldnt be anxious about something. It was his decision, and though she could have an impact on it, she knew that he had made the right decision for himself. Not for her, not for Panya, but also for himself. A grin formed through her dreamy-looking expression, the veil of mist seeming to fade from her eyes as happiness shimmered through.
"A perfect place to bring up a family?" She questioned, though it seemed to be rhetorical. "Yes, It would be a marvelous place to bring up a family..." Maawios life seemed to have changed so much in Amaris latest visit. She had learnt that she would face Pride life with her mate, her lover and her best friend. She had a cub friend she could get to know and possilby help "raise" as such. She had her friend Bakhti, who was right under her nose the whole time.
There were lots of new births in the Pride Lands of late, and she hoped that she could one day raise her own family, with Amari by her side. Her mother, yes, a stubborn one, Maawio thought that even Wingu would have been somewhat proud of her. Maybe not for running away, or for falling in love as a juvenile. But for discovering who she was, where she belonged and her true love.
As Maawio gazed into the charming topaz eyes of her mate, despite the fact she was still an adolescent, the prospect of having a family seemed to stay in her mind, immersed in a hopeful glow.

Panya stayed quiet as the older lions made up for lost time. As Amari's tail curled around her, she curled into his side needing the comfort as much as he did. Though she had not known the lion long, she felt safe around him. Safer then she had felt in a long time.

Danzi's ears lifted happily as he looked down at Mchele and Kiburi. "Hi there. Don't worry, I don't eat other lions." He chuckled. "I don't imagine lion flesh tastes that great, never tried it, no desire TO try it..." He lay down, trying to look as non-threatening as possible to the cubs, even going so far as to roll on his back a bit. "Mom's right, you know, I wouldn't hurt a fly... Well, not on purpose." Even he'd stepped on a bug or two in his youth, but that couldn't really be helped sometimes, now could it?

Bakhti smiled at her three children, "Right Mchele and Kiburi be nice to Danzi and Danzi be nice to them!" She winked at Danzi showing that she knew he would be anyway. "Need to make sure that you get on after all you are family!" She giggled a little before licking at both Mchele and Kiburi and smiling at Danzi again. "At least nothing major was happening to either of you.

Miamba's mission seemed to shift, as she approached the group of lions nearby, spotting one of a similar colour to herself, Bakhti. Her bright neon blue eyes glared ahead, curious to the others. Slowly, she padded ahead. The juvenile never knew what it was like to be around others before, besides the silly Cheetah she claimed her friend. As she stood next to the female lioness, she peered up, being not nearly as high as the adult. Her ears seemed to shift back a bit, somewhat scared to see her reaction.

TormentedAngie Back to priderock to rest? Surely a loner like her wouldn't be welcome amongst all the other pridal lioness' would she? Dama's crystal blue eyes looked up at Mufasa, her head canted to the side questioningly. But his words held more truth than she could deny. Hunger still ravaged her insides, while her outside remained ravaged by her kill. Common sense told her to shut up, and do as she was told, for survival, if nothing else. Nodding slowly, the young gray lioness limped over to the carcass, her prize trophy, and she began to tear off a piece of hide from the animal's loin area. Sharp teeth raked through the skin as if it were paper, shredding the hide and exposing the soft tissue underneath. This sweet, still warm meat renewed the life within the adolescent, as she fed, her body feeling stronger with each bite. His watchful gaze, however, unnerved the young one slightly. The only time she'd been watched while eating, was when the firekin felt sorry for her and Kitwana, and tossed them a scrap here and there. And even then, they'd be lucky to get the whole meal before it was taken away from them in spite. Dama couldn't help but keep an eye on the King out of habit, her body slightly tensed as she ate, ready to attempt to spring away, should the need arise. ((Sorry for the wait sweetie. Midterms and a nice cold. I'm just a luck little bug these days. ^ ^; ))
-The large golden lion sat simply, loosely rested upon the ground as he waited upon the lionness. He of course had no intentions of taking her food away, but he didn't quite realize that that was the reasoning behind her tense body.
Mufasa's mind drifted gently back to the traveling he did.. back before he became king, the few trips he'd made around during his reign. Thoughts of the lush jungle in which this lioness reigned over, unbeknown to her. His gold and brown tail flicked thoughtfully, as he wondered if he was treating her special simply because he DID know who she was? But he soon settled upon the fact that he'd help anyone he could.. however.. the reason she was going to be scolded was primarily that. Perhaps it was time.. perhaps she was old enough to know?-

(( *watches Dama and Mufasa* Ooo... from pauper to princess! ))
Mchele leaned into his mother's licks, reassured by the feeling of her warm tongue on his head and her leg that he hid behind. Even so, his eyes didn't leave this new 'brother' and he looked rather suspicious... "Older brother?" He tried to see the logic in it, it was very odd after having considered just mum, dad and Kiburi to be his family all his short life.
Tilting his head, he listened to Danzi's words and his mother's encoragements. Creeping out slowly, he paused to see if Kib would follow and back him up. But no, she was off after that red little cub. Well... good luck to her. That 'Rocky' or whoever he was didn't seem the friendly type. And compared to that, a new brother was far more interesting.
When Danzi rolled on his back, looking rather playful, the white-socked cub causiously approached him. His little nose sniffing as he picked up the older male's scent, he moved closer ever so slowly until he was only a few inches away. "Hello Danzi..... umm... why were you jumping around? And being so loud?" Danzi might have mentioned the reason before but then he'd been too worried to listen.

The adolescent blinked, then remembered what led to his tumble into the bushes. "Oh, that? Beetles were crawling all over me. Couldn't very well squash them, and apparently it was a NEST of them or something..." He watche Mchele while upside-down, tail curling just a bit.

He was glad she had agreed , not quite sure how she would have reacted to his comment about a family. It was true that it had been mentioned briefly during their younger days, but that was simply talk of lovestruck teens...or was it? Strange how he could fall in love so young, for what had seemed like just a crush in his early days had developed into a feeling so powerful that he felt simply amazing. His whiskers twitched upwards as he smiled at her.
Maawio seemed to be lost in thought, perhaps thinking about the conversation at paw? Well there was no need to rush into things was there. No, they had all the time in the world!
He took this opportunity to gaze down at the cub, and smiled, drawing much comfort from her own security. Everything was going to be fine, everything! He lowered his head, tongue rasping along the cub's ears and forehead.
"Well Panya, you think you'll like it here?" He hoped she would.
Then turning up to gaze at Maawio, losing himself once again in the pools of her eyes he touched noses with hers gently. "I know you'll make an excellent mother one day...perhaps one day soon." He hoped he was being too obvious with his hints. Being subtle however wasn't one of his specialities.

As the larger lions tongue ran over her head her audits twitched. Looking up at him with maroon eyes, they pointed up towards him. Her eyes were still a bit unsure. Would the male of this pride allow her to stay? She knew from what happened with her that males dont like cubs not born with their blood. The tip of her tail twitched a bit nervously from the anticipation. Amari had said earlier that they were going to meet him to request to join this pride. Would they be allowed? She didnt know. Nodding, she found the ability to speak again. "Yes.. " She squeeked quietly

Woooooooooooooooah, Rehani thought, mind snapping back into existance. The cub's tail she had been following was suddenly over by someone else. She growled softly. Alone again. She looked about, trying to find somewhere she could go. Spotting her mother and sister, she started to bound towards them. Being too distracted wasn't any fun. It seemed like she was very distratced today. "Mom!"

Maawios eyes were round. The thought of children seemed to be so far off until now. She could almost see the Amari and Maawio juniors playing in her mind. She smiled warmly, lowereing her maw to speak to Panya. "Joining us are you?" She asked sweetly.
Maawio stretched out slowly, flexing her claws in thought. "Being a mother, would certainly be lovely." She paused, sapphire eyes hopeful. "I have no doubt that you would make an excellent father..." Smiling innocently, she recalled the days she had with her mother. When she was to become a mother, she would never become that forceful... She would be a loving caring mother, with a caring and lovely mate by her side....
