Carefully, Sakeme pushed herself back into position. She was going to fully guess that that was a lucky shot and she wouldn't be making one of those any time soon. Throwing her next blade, she found her suspicions to be correct, of course. Sha glanced back over to the Hyuuga kid trying to figure out what was so special about her besides the fact that she was a Hyuuga. Was that truly the only reason Wrath wanted her around?

Shaking her head warily, Sakeme tried again. It was better this time. Practice did make perfect... despite how much she hated to work on things continuously. She was such a lazy bum... She quickly glanced over to Elruda again. "Hey, kid... you doing alright? You don't look too good..." Sakeme couldn't help but wonder... she didn't seem okay when they left the cafe...

Elruda realized with a start her disappointment at missing her mark must've shown on her face. "Hai, Sa-chan!" She smiled cheerfully, just to disarm the other kunoichi's worries. But almost immediately following, her gaze casted sideways to the ground...looking almost sad...? Sakeme might not realize, how every failure hurts the child's heart. Elruda...did she fear that the only reason Wrath took her in was because of her kekkai genkai? And possibly that's why...she pushes herself so, not caring how fatigued or how she hurts herself...just so she could live up to something called "expectations". A distant expression was on the child's face as she looked up at the sky, along with her petite height made her seem all the while more fragile.

She would need to retrieve her kunais before continuing with the assignment. With feather-light footsteps, the child trotted to pull the stray kunais from different places: one had struck a mushroom cleanly in half, a second was embedded in the rocky ground, a third had send several scorpions scuttling, but one in particular had pierced through a thorny shrub. Elruda plunged her hand in it and pull out the weapon, not seeming to care how the shrub tore at her skin before she advanced to the scorpion nest - not killing them but only knocking them away before the stingers reached her.

Sakeme watched Elruda closely. Despite the fact that she had smiled, she knew there was something wrong. Strangely enough... she wanted to help the girl too. It was really strange. Shrugging it off for a moment, Sakeme threw her last kunai petrfectly... It was good to end well. Making things quick, she went over, pocketed her kunai and walked back to the girl. "Would you like any help?"

The child prepared to continue with her lesson but stinging pain shot through her right arm. A small sigh escaped her lips: she better treat this before the abrasion wounds got infected. Without further thought, she took out her canteen, pouring the icy water over her arm, wincing slightly at the stinging sensations. With the bandages from her first aid kit, she wrapped her arm with the gauze, and pulled the knots closed tightly with her teeth. "I-if...it isn't too...troublesome..." Elruda murmured softly after a long while. It would be great if Sakeme was willing to help her - but as long as it's ok and she is not being a burden...

(Woot! I loves my XP! Thankies Bromy!)
Sakeme took the kid's arm with her hands and examined it a bit. "You shouldn't push yourself so hard... I can understand wanting to impress people, but going as far as damaging your ability to do the work properly is no good. Trust me on that..." Then unraveling her bandages, she pulled out a small tube from another pocket and squirted it onto her arm. Rubbing it in gently the kid should be feeling and icy sensation and later a warming heat to relax the muscles. It was then that she wrapped the bandage properly and tied the knot. It was abit messy, but it would suit her just fine. "There ya go... not my nest work, but it'll do..."

"Forget bout continuing the last assignment i want to teach you the Oboro Bunshin no jutsu, Elruda." Wrath blurted out. He demonstrated the jutsu once as usual and then let her practice. "Learn it before nightfall." Wrath added.
Oboro Bunshin no Jutsu (Haze Clone Technique) At first glance, it looks like an ordinary Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), but Oboro Bunshin really lures the enemy into a clever trap. Hundreds of Oboro Bunshin appear to confuse the enemy. These clones have no substance, thus attacking them will only make the enemy go right through them, without making the Bunshin disappear. "Hai, Wrath-sensei!" Though she did not like to leave things unfinished, Elruda still obliged. Besides, she could always go back to the previous lesson after she finishes. Hm...her first real ninjutsu technique, hn... Certainly, the Academy Jutsus did not count and before this, Wrath had taught her taijutsu techniques of his own creation and more emphasized on hand-to-hand combat. She certainly hoped it would not be too difficult to harness her chakra...yes, it had been a fairly long time...but even her Juuken Kempo training could've counted as training her control of chakra. First things first, learn the handseals right...

Learning the handseals weren't so bad - Elruda had a good memory and her eyes caught on to the seals very quickly. Her speed at seal formation was shaky, but that was to be expected of a Genin. Elruda began concentrating on molding her chakra - this particular doppelganger technique was not all that very different from the basic Bunshin no Jutsu...but it is on creating clones on a much larger scale. And of course, Oboro Bunshin's special ability...these clones would not disappear right on contact, making it difficult for an opponent unless they possessed eyes like hers or the Uchiha clan's famous Sharingan.

Not bad at all. Her first efforts, at the least, have proven to be fruitful. Wrath's chakra-climbing and water-walk assignments certainly did more than she had expected. A light smile was on her face as Elruda attempted to strike the clone she had just made. Though she had expected it, the Hyuuga child still could feel her surprise as her palm passing through open air - yet the clone was still there, completely unharmed. With a wave of her hand, Elruda dismissed her clones and they faded into oblivion. She would continue working at her normal pace but gradually increase the number of clones.

It was harder to concentrate since the medium for her clones were scarcer in Iwa's dry climate. Yet, nevertheless, Elruda had managed to form another perfect clone. The child wondered to herself what ways can this technique be used in Jutsu combinations... That's right, with her Juuken Kempo. If she can master the basics and advance to learning the higher techniques...she could combine Juuken's speed/accuracy and pretty much guarantee safety from counter-attacks as well, or at least from those her level. And possibly a helpful edge when taking time to cast Ninjutsu or Genjutsu techniques...

Does being able to make these clones mean she was a water type element? Elruda was rather curious what her elemental affinities would be... Those of her clan and family were generally of the wind or water type. But there were fire users, rare as they are...as exemplified in the vicious clan Elder Nyame, her late teenage years makes her the youngest yet the strongest among the clan council. To her knowledge, she had not seen a Hyuuga wielding the earth. A rather curious thought. Elruda...she tended to see a Uchiha more in performing fire-type Jutsus. A light giggle escaped her. Another odd thought had entered her head - won't it be a strange sight if a Hyuuga could use Gouwan? Breaking whole fields with a single fist...now that would be something that would rather cast an opponent wide-eye...

Wrath wanted twelve successful trails, before considering her having mastered the Oboro Bunshin. With her fifth trail completed and beginning her sixth, that meant she was halfway done with this Jutsu. Pretty good progress in a fair amount of time...but she could not afford to become lax. After all, she wanted to be a student that can make her shishou proud and Ame. How strange. When had she started to think of Ame so fondly? Didn't she always wanted to become a respected Sannin of Konoha, like her mother and her mother's sensei...? But now...she had come to idolize Sa-chan and Wrath-sensei... Elruda wanted to be a strong-willed kunoichi like Sa-chan and Ta-chan...and become strong like Wrath-sensei!
