Jewel of Antares

Hehe, well, with the feedback so far, I'll probably plan on making a thread for this stuff with tomorrow's question >w> So...

And, o-oh, well... I think for yesterday's, Ajicka would have a similar reaction to a few others, and just punch them in the face and glare... Marx would probably jerk back, trip over his feet, and stare up at them with a scared/shocked expression, and stutter something like "Wh-what...! Wh-why did you d-do that!?!"

Annnnd JD would... probably be a dork and use the most over used Southern language, pulling back, placing his hands on the person's shoulders to put distance between them, and being like "Whoa there partner, whaddaya think yer doin'?" =w=

I think for today's... Ajicka's really variable. If she's in a mood where she's easy to incite, her triggers would be picking on her friends or insulting/going after her pokemon... If she's more passive, it would probably require something more, otherwise she'd just keep walking. Maybe indirectly interfere by having one of her pokemon go over if whatever was going on was potentially serious enough, but she can be pretty calloused.

Jay would interfere pretty much regardless; his morality can be kinda wonky sometimes, but he has an innate sort of 'Protector' or sense of 'Justice' or something (thatI'mstillfiguringoutabit) that would likely make him feel obligated to at least make sure things are alright if the situation even seemed questionable.

And... Marx would play the meat shield xD He has maybe one vertebrae of a spine, now, but he's still pretty much jelly, so if he noticed something, he'd either duck his head down and keep walking like the wimp that he still is, or, if it was more serious, run over and put himself in the middle, and try and get whoever was the victim get out of there. He doesn't want to get hit or anything, obviously, but he'd rather take a hit than see someone else, but he's way too much of a coward to even try and be violent or anything, if he manages to get the courage to do something in the first place >> ;
But there are plans to fix that for him

... Heh... Thank you for asking, Jewel x3 I really appreciate that you were interested enough to do so <3 Thank you.

Edited in:

Just want to put Fourth Character's reaction, because... why not x3 ;;;

For the first one... He'd be doing the one doing the sneak attack kissing ;D
Nah, but really, he'd just kiss them back, regardless =w=

And for the second, think he doesn't really have any moral lines or triggers, so unless he's feeling generous, or potentially sees something it for him, he'd just go back to his computer, or whatever he was doing <_< ;

I wanted to post what I came up with for today's Question of the Day since I got so many replies, and people seemed to enjoy it >w>

Question of the Day:

Where does your character ‘draw the line’? Ie, in witnessing something, is there a point where they well step in, no matter what? Is it something specific, for instance a certain trigger, or something more general?

Don't mess with Mitsu's a) tribe b) family and c) friends. He will defend their honor like someone's trying to call his baby ugly. Also, bullying is a no-no, and he's not afraid to show bullies even a scrawny pop star can pack a punch. Mitsu's an all-around protector.

If Cheria was just a bit more courageous and more sure of her feelings for both the goofball and country boy accents....The beach rage would have been a WHOLE lot different. XD

You KNOW i want this to happen in another thread. lol

Alright. Here goes~

Rose: She's kinda soft. She doesn't like her friends getting hurt, and she doesn't like to see bad things happening to anyone. However, most of the time, she doesn't know what exactly she should do in most situations, so most likely, she'd bring it to someone else's attention. Either that, or she might jump in between people and try to diffuse something, even if it ends up being like 'biting off more than you can chew', especially if her friends or pokemon are involved.
Fynx on the other hand... She absolutely won't stand for anyone hurting Rose. And since It would hurt Rose to see her friends hurt, too, she wouldn't hesitate to step in and deliver her wrath via a sharp tongue or even something more physical if needed. If Rose had got in between a fight between strangers, then Fynx would be right there with her.

Leon: He's a lifeguard and takes his job kinda seriously. If he sees someone heckling another person, he's going to go in and split them up and ask what the heck was going on. However, his patience wears thin when it's two girls fighting each other over him. It feels degrading to him, and he'd much rather just walk away at that point. If he witnesses a friend getting bullied or whatever... well, of course he'd step in.

Cyrus: Pffft. No. There's nothing that Cyrus would do to help any victim of anything. If anything, he'd make it worse for both parties; while they are busy fighting or whatever, he'd steal their stuff and run off. He couldn't really give any craps about other people, and he's pretty bad at faking it.

BONUS!
Gavyn: he's rather old-fashioned, though he'd likely step in if things seem to be getting heated, but he's such a wimpy build that he could easily be taken out of the situation. He often uses his words more than his actions, but it doesn't seem to have that big of an impact on bullies or any such situations.

Lol wh-what? B-but no! xD Cheria, I thought you only had friend feelings for Marx? Don't fall for him! Don't do it, it's a very bad idea!

But gosh, I'm so glad that didn't happen, then! xD Marx would have completely panicked and fallen apart and just been completely distraught by that.

Also... lol.... who says that would have been Marx's first kiss?

Also, just realized, I forgot to include my (whenImakehim) fourth character's responses, so I apologize ahead of time for the possible requote, Jewel D:

Question of the Day:

Ah, always a good question to answer and then immediately set the bar infinitely lower. Anyways!

Kraven: By no coincidence, Kraven was a boxer, aaaaand is rather punch-happy. For the most part a person would get the ye old "Pick on someone your own size" line, and then promptly deck the s**t out of them. Size difference between the attacker and attackie is a factor as well, so if there's some huge dude shaking down a new trainer or something she'll step in... Partially just to punch out a dude twice her size or so. Though she will be a bit more lenient if it's just a kid or someone a tad younger than her. She'll still probably punch them though. Her clothes tend to do a good job of hiding her build xD

And for Zero:

This is a bit of a tricky one. But, for simplicity's sake I'll just narrow it down to two answers. First, Zero as he normally would be is marginally more tempered. He'll just give someone a warning, maybe give them a light push back, and if all else fails, bring out his pokemon to settle it that way. It'd take something rather serious for him to just lash out and assault someone when he's like that. As he is now though...

What with all the s**t that went down leading up to-and-including the Halloween Ball, he's starting to teeter towards the mentally unstable side. Again. But significantly worse. I mean, he kinda started his whole journey, his old buddy aside, to be strong enough to protect everything he cares about. And considering the last time someone had to really protect him, they lost their arm rather painfully, and this time it actually cost someone's life. So needless to say he's depressed and unsure of what he's even been doing this whole time. Now he's almost disconnected himself, in a way, and what with his anchor kinda being taken by another, needless to say he's rather confused and very conflicted as to what he wants. So, as he is now, his restraint is dropping rather steadily. But he'd also turn a blind eye more than he would normally, keeping himself unconcerned with strangers and such. So he'd have to know something pretty bad was about to go down for him to intervene, or it could just remind him of anything in the world that's become a trigger for him lately.

So, instead of a warning, he'd only give a rather unsettling glare, and then proceed to punch Leon the attackers. Things could possibly escalate from there, but he'd probably not cross a line. Yet. If the attackies are his friends/those he cares about, things could possibly get ugly one way or another, but regardless Zero'd probably walk away with some wounds himself, and but he'd also not stop short with any of his assaults. Still would take something pretty messed up for him to do anything serious though. Should be interesting how deep the rabbit hole will eventually go...

I'm totally not evil. Really.

Aw :c I'm sorry you've been having such a rough time Star. I can relate if it's any consolation... t's a bit late for me to post now tbh, so I probably won't, and tomorrow I'm leaving on a road trip to go visit family over the weekend so I probably won't be able to get a post in then either, but I'm not sure. It sort of depends on how things go, what my wifi status is, etc. Just let me know if you change your mind, otherwise I'll see what I can do as far as posting and moving our merry little group to bed.

I feel entirely limited and like I have less creative rights here now that there are so many new updates that limit us. That's all I'll say on the subject. I'm not even going to specify.

i'd get into a rant and point out the error of their ways, but....
it's not worth the time.
they'll learn when people start quitting and stop joining.
and, i'm pretty sure i know at least four people who will start that trend.

anyway!
how's sythril?
is he still sick?

I have to ask, what is so restrictive about it? If anything I feel rules that have already been in place or now being told that they will be reinforced. There is a ton of leniency when it comes to creativity and even more so when it comes to the new achievements and items being offered.

Because, spam posts are what people who are posting alone can manage most of the time. Asking for help isn't an immediate fix to the problem. You STILL HAVE TO GET to your potential partner, and that's even IF someone takes an interest in role playing with you. Furthermore, they completely ignored the depressed members who, quite literally, CANNOT manage perfect posts because depression causes a lack of interest and functionality.

I myself suffer from longterm effects from two battles with cancer, as well as depression. It's exhausting to even try and dish out three sentence. I've typed up at least fifty posts since my haitus, but never posted a single one because they were awful. And, with the new literacy force added, I'm tempted to quit because I have no ability to be what P:ER defines as a "perfect" role player. It's like they're intentionally ******** with the people with problems while making the guild a better place for people who don't. I know that's not the case, but that's what it's like.

Also, the whole purpose of Sketch and Balm Mushrooms is to, quite literally, GIVE POKEMON MOVES THEY DON'T NORMALLY LEARN. This includes legendary moves. I had so many plans for this that would be used towards Teito's plot, but now I have to dump them because a few people who don't have legendary moves felt offended and decided to take it out on everyone else.

Realistically, our creative rights haven't been tarnished, but that's exactly what it feels like. I'm all for literacy, but in a guild where character interaction isn't an enforced rule, forcing people to be more literate than they can handle is flat out rude. I, for one, will not be following that rule with joy. I'll still follow the rule, but I will grumble and complain as I do. This IS NOT a refusal to comply. I work seven days a week under an extremely homophobic boss who is pushing me to my limits in hopes that I'll quit, and I may or may not have cancer for the third time in four years. That stress, combined with depression and exhaustion, is more than enough ground to be pissed that I have to exceed my mental limits just to please people who have never shown any interest in communicating with me or my character, excluding Lia.
