"I'll see you later then," Lin murmured before slipping into her room.
She tried not to think about it too much because if she did she would become really embarrassed. It's not like Earendil could help it, despite the working hours they were becoming closer in a way that they weren't as long time childhood friends.
Besides, Lin was sure as she hurried off to help Miyuki bath, part of it was that she herself was not use to feeling this way.
Fortunately by the time she finished bathing Miyuki (which involved some playing of course), she had calmed down enough to put that aside. A freshly bath and dressed mother and daughter head to Earendil's room to get him for dinner.

Earendil had lain down on his bed and fallen into a light doze. Teaching was tiring work, after all, and he had been working hard for weeks now. But when he heard movement in his doorway (which he had left open) he opened his eyes and looked to see what it was.
"Ah," he murmured, blinking sleepily when he saw Lin and Miyuki. "Done already? Fast ..."

"You were dozing," Lin smiled peeking her head through the doorway, "I would imagine time went a bit faster for you."
She could only imagine how tired Earendil probably was at the moment.
"Is Ada sleeping?" Miyuki poked her head in too.

Earendil rubbed his eyes and rose slowly to his feet. "No," he chuckled softly, "Ada's not sleeping. I'm coming, don't-" he yawned "-worry."
He headed to join them and smiled at Miyuki. "Did you have a good bath?"

Miyuki nodded silently before pointing up at him, "Ada is sleepy."
She stated this instead of asking it because he yawned and therefore it must mean he was sleepy. She yawned when she was sleepy.

Earendil chuckled again. "Yes, I'm sleepy," he agreed. "I'll go to bed after dinner, all right?"
He reached down and tickled Miyuki's ribs beneath her outstretched arm. "Now go on, you," he grinned. "It's not polite to point."

Miyuki quickly moved away from the tickling fingers, bending over and giggling trying to get away.
"Nuu no tickling!" she hid behind her Mummi, little eyes peek out from behind the adult shield.

Earendil chuckled and slipped one arm around Lin's shoulders and held her close as they started back towards the dining room. "Come on, it's time for dinner."
He wondered just how soon they could have that day off.

Miyuki didn't waste any time in walking (skipping) along side her parents all the way down to the dining room. Over the past few weeks Miyuki had gotten use to always running around during the day after lessons, which in turned gave her more energy so she was no longer drooping by dinner time.
Leaning close, Lin chuckled watching Miyuki get slightly ahead of them.

Earendil smiled. "I wish I knew where she found her energy," he murmured, rubbing her arm gently as they meandered down to the dining room. "I sure could use some of it."
He was getting more alert as they went, but he was still slightly dopey from his nap.

"I think it comes with being a child," Lin murmured softly, "I use to be awake for more hours than there were in a day."
Of course that had been the result of her wanting to learn everything, and coming to the Four Lands very much messed up one's inner clock.

Earendil chuckled. "You were also a little crazy, according to just about everyone in the family. Going from one world to the next to the next ..."
When they reached the dining room, he pulled out her chair for her to sit down before sitting down next to her.
"Lin!" Leyenda beamed from just a few seats over. "It's set! Tomorrow morning, the kitchen is ours! With servants to help us, of course."

Lin was about to retort that she was not crazy (even a little), she had liked her active lifestyle. Even if it was a bit much and she had no idea how to teach Miyuki all of this.
"Perfect," Lin grinned at Leyenda, "Hear that Miyuki? Tomorrow for a lesson we'll cook and make lunch for your friends."
"Yay!"

"Hey!" Amalirahc protested. "I want to do it, too!"
Leyenda laughed and ruffled her son's hair. "Yes, you too. You and Miyuki will have your lessons in the kitchen tomorrow. So you should go to sleep right away tonight, all right?" She gave him a stern look. "If you don't have enough sleep, you'll be a danger in the kitchen."
"I'll sleep," Amalirhac promised.

Lin chuckled at that a bit, knowing how Amalirhac tended to like to stay up.
"Yay! We get to cook together!" Miyuki was not bothered by this need to have to go to bed right away.
That or she hadn't been paying attention to that part.
"What will we be making?"
