Well, glad to know that you guys know of the series. Anyway, The World is the game in which the .HACK// series took place. It was an MMO of MASSIVE perportions, but things such as the Twilight happened, and -BOOM!- that's the plot of the series. The World, itself, actually looks to be a great game! I can see why Tiefe's so excited! G'night, Natoe! Ummm... G'night (?) to you, too, Neji! The same wishes straight back at ya!

Nice, neji. You're right, I did lul! How many generations? I give it... 5... 10 tops. For the actual simulation like it is in the anime.... probably... what, 10-20 years, give or take? Still don't like the thought of Johnny dying, though..

You seriously think that technology is advancing that rapidly Rosy? I give it 200-250 years before virtual reality of that caliber is possible. How long ago did scientists predict that the general public would be traveling to a moon colony on space busses, and how close are we to that? Every time that scientists have made a prediction about what would be possible in the near future they have been wrong.

"Well, I actually had to do research on that once. Don't know what the data is now, but three years ago, they actually had twenty, fully operational, space busses. According to my research."

It's called hypnotism.

For that matter, how do we know that this isn't all a dream? And when you "go to sleep" and you think you dream here, you wake up in the "dreamland", which is actually real life?
...I actually tend to think I'm dreaming half my life.

REALLY sorry to hear that, Azura! Especially knowing where you live! gonk As to the hypnotism, I don't think that that was what was meant by it all, but sure! If you're hypnotized, that becomes you're new reality; you don't know anything different. As for dreaming half of your life... That's actually a commonly held belief, but it's not too far from the truth either. Think about it: humans are supposed to get at least 8 hours a day. That means that they're at least sleeping away a third of their lifetime!
