"I'd do neither." Hitomi stated simply as she lowered her hand to prop herself on her elbows once more, staring up at the sky with a sigh. "I'm just a normal person in the eyes of my town. I go to school, I have friends, I do chores, and all that jazz. But if there was a bank robbery, I would just watch and smile. The reason? Mmm, maybe because I always root for the bad guy to get away. I think it gives more meaning to the story and a new outlook on the ending. Like, I'm tired of the ol' good guy stops the crook and saves the day y'know?"
"Well, you've met Jack and Oomizu. They are both most intelligent. I think Jack may be your equal in every way." Kirara said with a laugh before she covered her mouth with her hand, her tails swaying back and forth gently. "Don't you think so?"

Kikyo looked to Jack. "Tis not wise to anger the one that may be hungry and easily irritable at the moment, Jack." Kikyo looked over to Oomizu and Sora. "It seems that they get along nicely. I have yet to see them fight or not talk to one another when in each other's pressnse... minus when others are around (our social butterfly). I'm glad. He's a good influence."
Oomizu sneezed three times, once every time her name was said, and looked annoyingly twords every one else in the group.

Hotstreak glanced to Hitomi for a moment. Was she serious? She had powers and didn't want to be a hero or villain? "So you go through life on your planet pretending to be normal...?" he asked, hardly believing it. It just seemed like it would be so... boring. Then again, hadn't he been doing the same thing? Yeah, it was pretty boring, but it was either that or get busted again. "Alright, alright, but what about on that other planet where you used your powers? Or on this one?"
"Yeah, he actually could be..." Gear replied, thoughtfully. "He even seems to have a sense of humor. Maybe we could swap invention ideas, some day," he added, with a grin. It sounded like more fun than designing the belt and remote control to help Nina, aka Timezone.
((No, not the Nina in this RP that's Jack's girlfriend. There was a Nina in one of the episodes of Static Shock. xp ))
"Aw, he can take a joke," Jack dismissed, waving a hand. "Right, big guy?"
"Continue to refrain from calling me 'Leather Pants' and you shall probably live..." Kain replied, half-threateningly.
"If she thinks of it," Etna replied. "Kid's pretty resourceful. Almost reminds me of me, when I was little..."
((Edit: The chick's name was Timezone, not Flashback. Flashback was the name of the episode. D: I always thought it made a better name than Timezone, though...))

Temari tugged on his arm as she pulled him closer to where Link, Jack, Kikyo, and Oomizu were. "Hey guys! Welcome back!" She exclaimed, still holding the sleeping Kratos in her arms while Inuyasha was continuing to carry Alex in his own. "We got a lil delivery for you Kikyo." She said with a light chuckle.
"But I'm not normal remember? I'm a psychic, we're not bred to be normal." Hitomi stated slowly before she glanced back at Hotstreak, making eye contact with him for a moment before looking back up to the sky once more. "I can see the future and see into your mind and all sorts of of other crazy stuff that makes it so I can never normal. Even if it's not a bad thing, to be a psychic, it's still a duty. I am the middle-man of the universe. I am neither a hero or a villain. I do only for myself and I benefit only for myself. But there are exceptions where I would do the bad thing for a cause I deemed worthy. Like, I would help you rob a bank only if it was to benefit us both...I'm just a natural softy, I guess..."
"Hehe, right." Kirara said as she looked over Gear for a moment, imagining him without the crazy get-up and nodded, grinning to herself. "You two could be twins if you dressed more the same. The major difference is that really, if you listen close enough, Hotstreak almost has the exact same voice as Jack." She noted, remembering the conversation the two had together when Hotstreak and Gear first entered Quasar.
[[I think I might remember that episode. Didn't Virgil see his mom in that one? Or am I thinking of a different one? Crap, I haven't watched a complete one since...last Saturday, when Static when to Gothem and helped Batman take down Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy when they were using a girl nicknamed Nails from Static's town, for their own personal gain. xD]]

Kikyo sighed and shook her head when she heard Inuyasha and Temari come up to them. She put a hand on her chest and sighed thankfully as she walked over them. "I was afraid Alex had already learned how to walk. We already have one child that wanders off, so you can understamd why I was concered."

((Yup, you got it! xd That episode always makes me teary-eyed. xp It was on... either last Thursday or Friday. *shrug*))
"I said 'pretend'..." Hotstreak felt the need to say. "Besides, it's not like I said 'normal' like it was a good thing," he continued, turning his gaze back skyward. "I don't ever wanna go back to being normal; not that I was all that normal to begin with, but still." Even though he hadn't said anything, he didn't miss when Hitomi answered his question. So not only did she seem to not mind if he went out and did as he pleased, but she would even go so far as to help him...
"Long lost brother from another dimension... Now that's quite a stretch!" Gear replied, with a small laugh. "Ah, but Jack was probably born with his intelligence, right? I only became a genius thanks to some leftover gasses from the Big Bang..."
"Hey, how much you wanna bet that, when Alex is old enough, he'll be the kind of kid that follows his big sister everywhere?"
"Why, of all the people around us, are you actually directing that question towards me?" Kain asked, honestly dumbfounded.
"I dunno, really," Jack replied, with a shrug.

Kikyo lightly took Alex and held him lovingly. "I certainly hope not. If Oomizu gets herself a little flyig monkey, then we'll all be doomed. The last thing she needs is a lacky." She kissed Alex ligtly and smiled down to him. "I would bet that he'll be independant, yet protective, just like his daddy."
Oomizu's nose continued to get that tickle like she was about to sneeze. "Seriously, is everyone talking about me? I hope so. I don't want to be sick, or getting sick."

Temari smiled as she made sure Inuyasha handed Alex off to his mother. Once he was finally in his Kikyo's arms, she let out a sigh of relief. "Of course, it's a mother's intuition I guess." She said with a laugh before her ears picked up Jack's comment. She raised her eyebrows as she stared at the albino, smirking before she chuckled for a moment. "That's very true though, Jack. I can honestly see that happening in the very near future. Alex really seems to just love his big sister..." But at Kikyo's next comment, she nodded with a grin. "True, true. But he's already showing those qualities when with Tomoe. They seem to get along just perfectly.."
"But hey," Hitomi began as she moved her arm from out under her, so she was just laying down besides him, but there was still a good yard of room in between then. She then let her hand lower itself on his chest, patting it gently before she just let it rest there for a moment. "I honestly can't picture you less than you are now, Hotstreak. I guess, from what I've seen from that time I entered your mind to the random vision I get every now and again, your powers complete you. They really do. They are an outreach of your inner soul; your inner fire. I know it may sound corny, but I think that's actually a really cool thing about you." She turned her head to smile at him, chuckling to herself before she finally moved her hand from her chest and let her arms fold themselves over her stomach once more.
"Ah, but a battle of wits could still be issued. Whether the ability was given or gained, it's still one to have and keep." Kirara pointed out as she touched her index finger to his nose, laughing to herself as she grinned at him.

"Honestly, I'm surprised she doesn't already have a lackey," Jack replied, thoughtfully. "She just ropes people in for a mini-adventure or two, but she's got the skills to keep someone under her thumb constantly, if she wanted..."
Hotstreak almost shuddered when Hitomi mentioned the time she somehow ended up in his mind. There were parts of his past he hated having to relive, and being stuck in the hospital as a kid was definitely one of them. He then thought about what she said about him and his fire. "The way you put it... It really does make it sound kinda more cool than corny..." he admitted. "Wait, you get random visions about me?" What else had she seen...?
Gear chuckled a little at what Kirara was doing. He thought about trying to compare her to a big sister, but the only older sister he knew was Virgil's. Kirara was almost nothing like Sharon. Then, he remembered something. "Oh, hey, remember earlier when we were talking about how Gear isn't my real name?"

"Oh? And is that what she does to you Jack? Keep you wrapped around that little finger of hers?" Temari teased gently, chucking to herself as she did so.
"Really? Huh, thank you then Hotstreak..." Hitomi responded with a light smile, glancing back over at him now. She then puffed up her cheeks, trying to keep herself from laughing. But once she had collected herself, she sighed out all of her earlier jitters. "Or would you rather have me call you 'Biz Money B' from now on?" She asked him with a sheepish grin, snickering under her breath.
"Oh yeah!" Kirara exclaimed softly as her eyes lit up, her tails swaying even more. If she were a dog demon like Inuyasha, they would be wagging or something, but since she was a cat...yeah. "You promised that you would tell me your real name..." She whispered with a nod.
[[I wanted to refer to the comic on that one, 'cause 'F-Stop' was used in both, but I found this name a lot more entertaining to mess with. That okay Ruki? xd ]]

(( rofl I'm so glad I'm not the only one who knows about that one! xd When I first found out about that nickname, I stared at it and thought, "WTF? Why???" xd ))
"Aw, c'mon, it's not that ridiculous a handle... I couldda done worse!" Hotstreak replied, smiling somewhat sheepishly. Not his best idea on a new name, to be certain, but definitely not the worst.
"Uh-huh," the helmeted teen replied, in a whisper. No one was near them, and they'd already firmly established that Hotstreak certainly couldn't hear when they whispered, so he figured it safe enough. "It's Richie. Richie Foley. Just make sure you never say it around Hotstreak; there's a pretty good chance he'd recognize my name..."

"Come on Hotstreak! It's something that my 9-year-old cousin would make up if he was tryin' to act all 'hood'! You could've done better than that!" Hitomi exclaimed as she flipped over, so she was now laying on her stomach, facing him as she laughed. She then cocked her head to the side as she swept up some of her brown hair out of her face and behind one ear. "But that's not the only thing I dug up." She stated in a matter-of-fact-like tone. "There's the time you went to the docks for like, an all-out gang war or something, and this giant canister of gas went of and you got your powers, I guess it's called the 'Big Bang'. Then there's another time when you hooked up with a dude named the Joker and went on a rampage, and even another time where you were handcuffed to some guy and had to survive on an island all for the sake of some boy's life." She then tapped her chin for a moment with her index finger, wondering if she forgot anything. "I think that's all of 'em I got...so far at least."
Kirara's ears flickered for a moment as he spoke his name to her. She mouthed it quickly before she smiled and nodded. "Got it." She stated simply, for both the name she had just received as well as the instructions he had given to her. "Sure thing Gear, I'll be extra careful around him." She told him with a nod and a giggle, clearly quite happy.

"Hey, it got the point across," Hotstreak replied, in his defense. "An' I did do better; later, at least." He shifted to his side a bit, propping his head up on an elbow. "'Dug up'? You doin' this on purpose?" He didn't protest, however, and instead listened to the rest Hitomi had to say. "Yeah, that was the Big Bang. You vision must have been at least a little fuzzy, 'cause I'm pretty sure there was more than one canister..." When the Joker was mentioned, he grinned broadly. "Man, hangin' with the Joker was awesome... If Static hadn't had lucked out and found us at the very last second, we'd have taken out Batman! The Batman! ...And Robin. He was there, too." At the last part, he replied, "Oh yeah... That whole thing sucked, but I got a hovercraft outta it, so that was pretty cool. Didn't last long, though..."
"Hey, speaking of which, Hotstreak isn't his real name, either," Gear replied, no longer being careful of his volume.
Which turned out to be a mistake, as Hotstreak caught his name and the words "real name" out of the conversation, and sat bolt-right up, glaring in Gear's direction. He better not...
((Mentioning Robin made me think of Starfire, and made me realize she's pretty much from the same world as Hotstreak and Gear. I know they never actually did a cross over of Static Shock and Teen Titans, but I read somewhere they were planning on it; unfortunately one show ended before the other began. Batman did mention the Titans, once. In the episode with Ivy and Harley, methinks.
Static: Where's Robin?
Batman: With the Titans.
Static: Huh?
Batman: You'll meet them eventually.
Or something like that. xp ))
