Noah froze when he felt the blade against his neck. He very carefully tested the bonds that held his arms to his sides. They would not give way to his own physical strength. And even if they would it was probably not a wise choice while his opponent could slit his throut at a whim. Not that she would, it was against the rules, and illegal, to kill during a match. But it was generally acknowledged that if you were in a position such as his that you lost by default. He scowled. "Damnit... I yield."

((So what next Stoic? crazy evil rogue mage or harbour town?))
Vilya smiled, removing her blade and sheathing it, snapping her fingers as she released the spell holding him for a little flare. She held her hand out to the sage politely. "You fought very well." she said happily. Tura relaxed at her side and padded over to the sage's creature to pay her own respects. Vilya kept an eye on the fight that continued between Damiano and the other sage, still ready to move at a second's notice. "There is a question that's been at the back of my mind since I came here." Vilya said idly, "How in the world are you two so powerful but so young? I thought you could only bind a creature at 17, but you seem much younger than that."

((Well, while we're waiting I can show you something. It took me a lot longer than it should but I finally painted Tura. Now I don't have to rely on the verbal description. TuraStoic, don't suppose you could slot the link into her profile?))

((Alright, who's in favor of just ending the rest of the battle and continuing on? Personally, I am. We could just say that somehow Damiano wins, dunno how, don't really care either. But we'll lean in favor of the player character and then move on...))

((Well, Griffin and I concur, we should skip ahead. So, somehow Damiano pulled out the win. Alright, so the two Sages have retreated to their quarters to recuperate again and Winstrom has escorted us out. We are all up one mark and with nowhere to go.))
"Wow, Vilya. Did you know that teleportation spell all along, or did you pick it up watching me?" Sai asked as he and Stratus stood outside the gates to the Sages school with their friends. "Either way that was a brilliant move." Sai glanced around, it was just past morning, not even midday yet. "Uh, what do we do now? wander around here, or try to find a ride back to the surface?"

Kin stood in his usual irritated pose. These guys talk so much, it's annoying. Kin thought, crossing his arms while wearing his gauntlets.
Vix complained to Kin in a hiss.
Kin quickly thought to Vix, reminding him they needed to find a way to leave in the first place.

((I'm planning on posting sometime between now and midnight tomorrow. Would post, but don't have time to read every post I've missed for the last forever. I think you guys are at the sky city, hit me with a correction if I'm wrong. Stoic, I'm assuming I may need to have a chat with you on MSN before I post so I'm not going to right now like I want to...le sigh. See you all again soon.))

((Well missed the deadline I had given myself, but here it is.))
Raidek was in the lower decks of the Trade ship Nundinae, his invisibility spell long since worn off and the journey to the sky city nearly at an end. The storage hold was a mess, he had needed a new look, a disguise to hide from any who might spot him and turn him in to the Imperial Guards. He had found the outfit, almost a complete opposite of his normal wear. With a look of disgust, Raidek began to put it on. First the black trousers, and then the long-sleeve button up shirt made of white cotton which he promptly tucked into the trousers. He was uncomfortable already, though his movements weren't hindered in the least, he didn't like these clothes. Most of all he did not like the pieces he put on next, first a three button vest of silk dyed a deep red. Raidek smoothed out the clothes and looked at himself, “I look ridiculous.” He shook his head and slipped on the black frock coat as well as a pair of black gloves. Fenrir's voice echoed in his head. Raidek shot back. As he placed his hook swords in a hard leather case, and then his old clothes and mask he placed in a leather briefcase he had found. He slicked back his hair and picked up the necklace. It looked like an old coin with a nine point star on the front and back of it, with one point longer than the rest. A spiral design of letters spelled out the word requiro. He knew the word what it meant, and what it meant to him. Fenrir spoke again. He thought of Stratus then with its golden scaled underbelly, and red feathers, and those golden eyes. How peculiar a dragon, though it was true, before the dragon sage he had only seen one, but none even closely resembled Sai's companion. Raidek noticed then that the medallion had begun to spin, and then slowly came to halt its largest point aiming in the direction of the ships travel, it was pointing at the sky city. “How interesting.” He smiled and slipped the chain it was held by over his neck, palming it a moment longer before moving to the weapon he had selected for show. Well that, and if for some reason he would need to use a weapon, it would be significantly faster than getting his hook swords from their case. The sword itself was a saber, the hilt was an ornate webbing that would surely guard his hand. The hilt, the sword, even its sheath, shined liked polished silver, but he knew that the weapon could not be made from the metal for it was far stronger. The benefits of a well crafted weapon. With it sheathed he grabbed the couple of rings that had caught his eye, merely for the sake of looks and slipped them onto his right hand. One looked like a small silvery snake curled around his finger, small rubies had been inlaid in the metal for its eyes, the other, a relatively plain ring, though the outside of it was embossed by an elaborate Celtic design. He liked them somewhat, better at least then most of the others he had sifted through. At least if he decided to get rid of them he could get a decent price from them. With that he gathered up his things, for the boat had begun to slow. “Factus umbra .” His form appeared to melt away into nothingness, and he headed for the main deck.
By the time he got there, the crew was moving about the deck and though with so many moving about at once he managed to stay out of their ways, though one had stopped before more a moment as if he had seen something before shaking his head and continuing about his duties. As the Nundinae came to a stop he leaped from the boat onto the dock and made quick work of the distance to the streets, his form appearing again in the crowds of people, a few were shocked, noticing a man had just appeared from no wear, but most didn't, to most it was just a busy day and they themselves were too busy to notice.

Vilya grinned with satisfaction as she walked from the arena, The seal of the twin sages tucked neatly in one hand. Tura padded quietly behind her. "I've been watching you." she admitted sheepishly, folding her gloved hands behind her back. "Do?" she asked in response to his question. "Well, given your current 'popularity' with the Imperial guard I don't think it's very wise to stay in one place for very long. I say we head back to the docks and play the small towns along the coast for a bit. And..." She shot a glance at Kin with a tiny smile, "I think Happy over here is getting a little restless." She nodded to Tura and raised the hilt of her sword, calling the gryphon back into her stone, then she hit Sai lightly on the shoulder and ran ahead. "Come on! I bet I can beat you both to the docks!"

"Like hell you will!" Sai said and bolted after her, his cloak flapping out behind him as he ran. Stratus beat down hard with his wings several times, rising into the air a little with each downstroke. Once he gained enough height he spread his wings to their full extent and glided forward, using momentum to gain more height. He coasted through the air, quickly surpassing both his partner and Vilya. He lazily swooped and circled overhead, watching their race bemusedly. Sai ran past a shop, cutting the corner close and narrowly missing deer-like creature. A mental voice rang out in his head... And it wasn't Souun's. Sai tripped and fell headlong, he managed to retain the presence of mind to roll as he hit, absorbing most of the impact. In the end he flopped onto his back in the middle of the cobbled path. Stratus had seen the entire thing from his lofty vantage. Sai responded without moving.
The voice sounded in his head again. Sai said and rolled over and darted to his feet. Standing in the street right in front of him was the deer creature he had almost crashed into. It looked almost exactly like a normal doe, except it had white spots, like a fawn, that were star shaped. The voice said again. The doe then turned and walked back to the shop. What the hell?...

Vilya had stopped short when Sai went tumbling. He looked more shocked than he should have been. "Hey!" she called, running back and grasping his arm to help him to his feet. She saw the Doe walk back into the shop. She had not heard the voice either. "What the heck happened to you?" she laughed. ((Gah short..))

Raidek continued along the busy street shifting the sword case to his other hand with the briefcase. He took his now free hand and grabbed the chain of the necklace, pulling the coin from his chest so it could move freely and began thinking of Stratus, his hand position as to hide the trinket from any watchful eyes. It spun, and he constantly glance up at the mob of people moving around him careful not to plow anyone over and still act upon the guidance the necklace was giving him.
It wasn't long before he glanced up and could see the unique dragon with his own eyes, he then let the coin fall back to his chest, and took the sword case into his free hand as he scanned the people he passed for a face he knew.
