Yet, it was a simple plan, to burn the Trapinch and stop the attack ...it in itself would backfire. The Trapinch hit would sink down ...as Claudandas tried to make his escape though ....the sudden blast of flames at it's center would change what was once a gentle slope of downward pulling into a full downpour that was only rivaled by waterfall as Jasmine would be pulled to safety. And the ghost type ....would find himself able to blast free of the sands by simply use of firepower, but it was Claudandas would would find himself unable to get free. The sands in that one moment sinking him almost all the way down to his shoulders.
There would be no more simply running upon the sands...he was quite literally stuck, and instead of sinking downwards ...he was flowing like a log towards the center. There he would be swallowed up by the sands ...if something wasn't done soon.
((2nd roll - must outroll to escape for Claudandas))

(8 - 5) + (11 - 8 ) = 6 + 2 = 8 /2 = 4
Pawniard HP: 6
4 /5 = 0.8 (round) 1 DMG
Animus HP: 13
">Servant my shiny metal keester!<" The Pawniard called out in a voice like clashing metal. He would give no sound of pain as Animus drove his horn into the Pokemon's leg...though as before, it would be quite clear the move hadn't done nearly as much damage as it would have against any other. Worse yet, this time the Nidorino would feel one forth the sting.
Slowly the Pawniard would begin to growl...a sound which resembled TB static...the black red aura of his hatred would slowly build once again. Now that the Nidorino had struck, it was time for him to once more obtained his Revenge!

((Just a note, you forgot the x2 to the damage. The Sableye was Counter-Attacking remember? Not like that effects the outcome, and Ghost's don't die...just felt like mentioning it. ))A quick, effortless battle. Fable would be recalled in silence by Raven; the Charmander had done well, proving himself once more upon the battlefield.
Battle at it's end, Requiem would have other thoughts however. Jumping down from Raven's shoulder, the Zorua would dart over to the fallen Sableye...or more importantly, her Guitar. Trapping the instrument between two paws, the Dark-Type would pull with all his might, attempting to make off with it ">To the victor...the spoils!<" He grunted. True, Requiem was a singer not a guitarist, but that didn't mean he didn't appreciate the presence of a good instrument!
Seeing what the Pokemon was getting at, Raven would heave a sigh and bend over. Grasping the neck of the guitar, the boy would pick up the instrument and swing it over one shoulder. It was too small for him to make personal use of, and truthfully he had no such interest; but perhaps the Guitar would prove useful.
Not that he was entirely certain as to how...
Instrument in hand, and Requiem at his side, Raven would once more continue on his way down the path...hoping to reach the end of this cavern soon...

Raven would walk on in silence, red eyes scanning the area around him as they continued forward. He had seen a great deal of strange things in this cavern. The duel of the Pawniard. A Magnemite being used as a generator. A guitar wielding Sableye...or at least formerly guitar wielding. There was no telling what the ghost might do when she realized they'd made off with it...
Well, there would be little the Ghost-Type could do once they were out off this cave and back at the Academy...
Requiem of course shared none of Raven's concerns, or observations. Rather, the Zorua had begun the construction of a new song. Something a bit more on the metal side, in honour of their encounter with the Sableye. The beat was kept at a quick pace, mirror how swiftly the battle had ended.

There was a saying about frying pans and fires; it seemed Burnout more than readily provided the latter, and now Claudandas was falling into it!
The cats ears sank back as the sand sent like water, and he struggled just to keep his head above, gritting fangs harshly as he would keep moving!
"Claudandas!" Jasmine looked down, Burniut was flying upward, still looking to rescue himself from the sands that had somehow hit him, and she couldn't ask Lindbergh to keep her in one hold and the cat in the other, but she looked up to the fly scorpion Gliscor.
"Hold me around the waist! I need an arm free!"
No time was wasted as that segmented tail would wind its way like a serpent, down her arm and around her body instead, dangling her when she immediately took her free arm and grabbed the crutch she'd pinned under the casted one, flicking it decisively, the telescopic length as long as she could reach it, before she swung it down, the handle proffered to the cat first, the easiest way to get hold of it...
"Just grab hold... And we'll do the rest!"
The cat struggled, but he could see his salvation there... That crutch was certainly good at helping someone, in more ways than thought it seemed, but he still needed to reach it!
He pulled all of his strength, he went down deep, and went for one final leap, to try and dive from the sands, right to the handle of the crutch and grab hold!
((Of a the times... <<))

Snover's attack didn't really do much damge. Actually, it barely did any at all. The snow got carried away by the wind and landed on the grass area that was next to the pile of bones the the Vullaby was in.
The Vullaby managed to pull herself from the pile of bones and was preparing for her attack.
~ >"Well they would be if I were to be a Fire-type. Lucky for you I'm not other wise I'd roast you like a chicken."<
The Snover retorted back at the Vullaby. They were going at it back and forth talking smack to each other. Yet, the Vullaby seemed to be doing a poor job of doing it. ~
The Vullaby summoned up a Gust that would blow Snover away. It would seem to Six that this is the only attack the Vullaby could do.
Snover was carried off by the Gust that the Vullaby had summoned. It was a good idea at the time when Snover had been attacking from the air. Now, Snover's idea backfired on him.

Tsuki flipped over as the Ponyta rammed into him. A Pokeball flew off his belt and whacked his foe. He had accidentally... Sent a Pokeball out? He sat down on the sand to see if it would catch it. Never turn down a chance for something good. Besides he'd dash again if it didn't work. He also had three Pokeballs.
(ya this is a bit dumb but I figured that'd be his luck after the Heatmor. Which I still need to name.)

Yet oddly enough, though the gust would carry the walking tree off course, smacking him into the ground...but leaving no lasting damage. By luck or fate, the Pokemon had come out entirely unharmed. It had been a good move on the Vullaby's part, but apparently not strong enough.
">Aww baby, that's just cold<" The avian chirped in retort, though it was hard to tell if she was speaking to the Snover, or to the failure of her attack.
Ruffling her feathers slightly, the Vullaby would hop off her pile of bones, and begin running around the clearing ">Catch me if you can, ya pine scented freak!<"

"> ... <" Not only had she been trapped, but now she had to listen to...this. And as the Tropius talked on and on, her ears went down, and her fanged jaw dropped down lower and lower. What a...a...nerd!
Specter tugged and pulled on her arm as the Tropius droned on and on. Damn that thing was noisy, she wasn't expecting that out of it...finally, just as the Tropius finished up, she was able to get her arm out. Though the ice had long since gone, melted away and now just a puddle on the ground. The Zangoose growled slightly, tail swishing back and forth.
She backed up, putting her claws out and digging her feet in. It was the same thing she had always done, but it was pretty darn effective!

((Got one more try... no idea if that means I need to beat the 2 or I'll have to beat a new roll you make... but here goes nothing >> ))
When Claudandas would go to leap, the problem was, there just was't anything beneath his hind legs to leapfrom, before there had been pockets of sand, now, those pockets were dissolving and swallowing more sand, the entire ground was becoming as devoid and empty as the crater all around!
And as Claudandas went to leap, he sank again, eyes clenched tight as he struggled... it was only majing things worse... but he couldn't think now, he just knew he had to do what he could to get free! [Sorry... just... can't get through!]
Jasmine was left dangling there, the crutch just out of reach of the feline, she stretched her arm as far as the bandages would let her arm, gritting teeth before she'd finally yell up in frustration, "We need to lower me... just a little more!"
Lindbergh nodded quickly. [You got it!]
But before she could dip, suddenly, above her and to the side, floating safely away from the pit, a bark came from Burnout- [No! Get Jasmine back here!]
[If you lower her, the sands will get her feet and pull you both under!]
[There's another way!]
The Gliscor snapped suddenly upward at the Lampent, a scowl on her vampirish face. [Oh, well... isn't that nice? You have an idea. I don't suppose it would help if you TOLD us the idea?]
Jasmine looked up, tugging on the tail of the Gliscor wound around her, looking between the two, she could tell they were talking but what about? "Guys, argue later, we don't have the time!"
[I would appreciate haste!] Claudandas screeched aloud from the pit.
[The pokéball you oversized Zubat! The pokéball!]
Lindbergh would have snapped, but as she suddenly glanced at Jasmine's belt, she had to admit... it was a rather obvious idea when you thought about it.
[Ohhhh....] Quicker than anything else, she suddenly flapped and let the wind shove her back as she'd look to let Jasmine down upon solid ground, but still her tail wound round the girl, lest any surprises come.
"Lindbergh, what are you doing?"
The tail's tip-claw now reached around Jasmine, pinching upon her belt, at the pokéball hinting again and again.
In an instant, Jasmine got it... she'd considered it... but she knew Sand Tomb prevented returns... was this that same move? She certainly hoped not... because if this was their idea... they had to hope it would work!
With Lindbergh holding her, she could drop the crutch, taking the ball as she would nod at them both. "Alright, here goes!"
"Lindbergh-" She threw her arm straight out, the ball in hand, "Return!"
And as the cat would hold his breath, poking his head upward, a red beam of light flew towards him-

Somehow, maybe by luck, Snover hasn't taken any damage.
Then again, neither has the Vullaby. Was it possible that their defenses were evenly matched?
Although Snover did have to admit, this match has been interesting.
As he was blown off course and finally landed on the ground, he responded to the Vullaby's statement.
~ >"That's because I'm 'Ice Ice Baby"< the Snover said humourously.
The Vullaby ran off, mocking Snover. Snover then ran after the Vullaby
>"You must admit, this battle is interesting."< ~
This battle HAD been interesting. Not one of them had been damaged, but hopefully that would soon change.
"Maan, this battle is really something." Six said to himself.
"Come one Snover!!! I know you can damage that Vullaby! Use everything you got!!"
Snover caught up and once more used his attack. He shot Powdered Snow at the Vullaby hoping that this time he would do some kind of damage.

Vullaby HP: -7
">...and you said...my lines were bad!<" The Vullaby managed one last squawk as she hit the ground, her black feathers turning white with frost. Six and his Snover had done it, in a single faithful blow they'd managed to defeat the Vullaby...a little more however, and they would have most certainly killed it.
Still, victory was their's, and they'd best enjoy it while they could!

Snover dealt the final blow. Finally it was over. Although she would've been a nice addition to the team.
~
"Finally. Don't you think you might have overdone it?"
Six asked Snover mockingly. That was one of the best battles both Snover and Six have ever been in. At least for now.
"Maaan I wish I could've caught it. I just didn't want to take the risk."
"Time to go Snover."
Six trailed off with Snover following him, in perfect health.

">Hold it right there lad!<" A gruff, yet strangely high voice would call out from the bushes behind Six and the Snover. The leaves would rustle, and as a single one fell to the ground, a Chikorita would burst from the foliage!
">Dazzling the stage, I am the Noble Thief....stealing from the rich, and giving to myself!<" The Pokemon would declare, the single leaf atop his head tilted forward to cover up one eye. ">Hand over all your valuables and nobody gets hurt!<" The Chikorita declared.
Aside from the fact the Chikorita's first and second declaration clearly contradicted one another, it would seem that Six was being mugged...again. By a Chikorita no less. It would be difficult to decipher whether or not this was better or worse then how things had started...

The boy looked at his pokemon. Well that fight had gone badly. He pulled out the only potion they had been given and quickly sprayed it on the Zangoose. Well it was time to keep moving forward. The group were in a forest, so maybe they'd be able to find some berries.Nyx chuckled as he glanced at the Zangoose. He had managed to win the battle, though barely. A grin spread over the pokemon as he continued to prance next to the boy. The next battle was going to be his and he was going to enjoy it. He wouldn't take half as long as the Zangoose had and he'd show him how a real fighter was supposed to fight. The Zangoose hadn't meant to kill his opponent. Now his claws would be forever stained by the life blood of his foe. Not necessarily physically but mentally. Kyo was surprised when the boy sprayed something to heal his wounds. All the scratches and even the deep gash disappeared. He said nothing to the Umbreon, noting the smug expression on the pokemon's face angrily.
