Pirate Dirge @__@ 30 weeks down: 3/4 of the way done. Seems like it's taking forever! I always find it interesting how much emphasis is put on the pregnancy, when you spend 2400% more time parenting than being pregnant. But it's a lot of fun. Having so many hopes and wishes for the new baby. Wondering will he have my hair? her personality? Some totally new mixture?

Well ladies i think i may be joining your ranks. I should have gotten my period by monday. It's now wed and no aunt flo. I'm too scared to take a test yet but my cycle has been really consistent the past year or so and i'm kinda shocked ...happy shocked but still. My bf and i got careless the night he left for wisconsin for almost 3 weeks. I didn't think anything of it as it was the first day after my period ended. burning_eyes I'm cautiously happy because of my medical issues with my uterus and cervix. And omg can we say holy morning sickness batman. I spent this morning trying to give my son a bath and get him ready for school while gaging and puking. The smell of his soap made me green at the gills. And this is prolly TMI but did anyone else have issues with constipation this early on? According to those ticker things i'm at 4 weeks 3 days. I'm hoping not to loose it. sorry for rambling i'm just so scared and happy.

So i lost the baby. Ugh. Shortly after me and the s.o. were um ""messing around"" i started spotting. I called obgyn who reassured me that its ok and to call if it got worse. I woke up a few hours later and i was bleeding heavier than a period flow. Fast forward and after 2 days i "passed" everything. It was really painful because apparently a clot of sorts formed around the fetus and it got stuck in my cervix. Not fun. It almost felt like contractions. It was incredibly painful. My s.o. is devestated and i've made an appt. to schedule getting my tubes tied. This little one only made it about 6 weeks and 2 or 3 days. It's become quite evident a baby is not in the cards.

Thank you both. I was warned i probably couldn't carry to term but i hoped. I think getting my tubes tied and maybe looking into adoption after we're married next year is best. I can't see going through this again.

I'm starting to get nervous! My ticker says 30 days, and I still haven't figured out who I want at the hospital with me. xp

Is this your first?
I had my mom and husband with me when my daughter was born. Mom was my coach. She's been very good at getting me through painful things (like surgeries, braces, and other injuries) so she could be very... objective, I guess. She could compartmentalize to get me through the deliver while my husband who hates to see me in any pain was simply there to hold my hand, tell me he loved me and say how good I was doing.
They will both be there (hopefully) when I have my son. I'm 35 weeks and 2 days.

It's my second. Unfortunately, neither my husband or my mom are an option. My grandma's offered to be there, but she's such a nervous personality that I don't think she'd be much support. My MIL has offered as well, but I don't know if I'm comfortable with her seeing me that exposed! I'm running out of time though.

Oh that is a toughie. Do you feel uncomfortable with your MIL otherwise? If you don't, you could always discuss it with her and see how it goes.
Monkey, my deepest sympathies. heart
