I'm thinking about importing the DSi, but something about the SD Cards not working is making me cautious. Look here. I believe it could prevent me from getting DSiware, because the DS would be Japanese? But if they're region free, would it matter at all? As long as I had it on English/North America, would it not connect with the internet the same?

It sounds like DS games are region-free, but I can't guarantee this. As for downloads, I'd assume it works similar to the VC/Wiiware (only downloadable to the region of Wii/DSi). I don't know about differences between Japan's SD cards and the US' SD cards, so I don't know what to say about that.

Zephyrkitty Is the DSi going to come out in the US or are you importing it because it's the only way to get one? It sounds like DS games are region-free, but I can't guarantee this. As for downloads, I'd assume it works similar to the VC/Wiiware (only downloadable to the region of Wii/DSi). I don't know about differences between Japan's SD cards and the US' SD cards, so I don't know what to say about that. I'm importing because I'm impatient, and we have to wait until later in 2009 for it. I just wonder if me having a DSi from Japan would stop me from getting NA games using the online service. I think everything else would work. TtheHero All we can hope for is that the US release of it is at least in EARLY 2009. Europe is early 2009 with NA "sometime after." The way they're talking about it, it'll be the latter half of the year. I just really, really want this. Like, now. >__>; The funny thing is, I told my mom about it, and she admitted she was going to get me a DS Lite for Christmas, but now she probably won't. I said she could help me get one of these. XD I just wish they had blue. I'm so afraid I'll import it this year, spend a lot more, and then it'll come out here early next year for much cheaper, in blue. And it'll have like, Meta Knight on it.

Though the systems are nothign short of awesome, I bet even more appeal would be created if they at least made more diverse sets of colors, other than what seems "mod" and "hip"
Black and white has been done for nearly EVERY system.
And Silver's just a shiny white.
Like Fish said, we need more blue! (BLUE BLUE)
More...! Well Red's also another slightly overdone color, next to the mainstay indigo...

At Nintendo World I see a veritable CACHE of GBA SP in different color schemes, and designs, even one with one of those tranmutation circles from FMA! (I... think...)
